  1. It's confusing, most people when they hear "gas" think of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_gas
  2. Well, here's an idea: Navy Ships are big things that can carry a lot, why not allow the player instead of using them to target infra to instead loot a player's resources and take them back to your nation. Note: I expect Arrgh to like this post.
  3. Not about realism it's about making sure all resources have their uses. Steel/alum/gas are basically only used in large amounts in wartime (yes they're used in improvements and projects but it's negligible), but war is unpredictable and not constant, they'll be periods of months with no war where resources pile up further reducing prices. Eventually there's going to be so many nations in PW producing so many resources that resources themselves are going to become irrelevant through oversupply (happens in every strategy game over the long-term, in a persistent game this only gets worse) and money will become the only real resource. The only way to stop this is to create ways to drain manufactured resources outside war, ie resource sinks.
  4. More like bad game design. Why is steel/alum used to build military units but not infra? Why don't cities drain gas (no one uses cars in Orbis?).
  5. What a shit war, I doubt that steel will even get to 4k. You all should be very ashamed of yourselves.
  6. Why on earth would you let someone into the presence of your head of state armed and without fully ascertaining their state of mind and political views?
  7. I honestly cannot comprehend why anyone would want to be apart of an alliance which takes 100% taxes, I mean why even bother playing the game why not just give your account password to your alliance and be done with it. And this is from a commie.
  8. Daily reminder that the first human being in space was a Communist.
  9. What about in wars where the nations deplete their resources and the alliance needs to distribute resources from the bank?
  10. Back in ye olde Perk thread, there was a perk called "Anti-Air Guns" for Navy~
  11. If the missile blew up an Air Force Base with all it's aircraft still in the hangar...
  12. Rename Gasoline to Petroleum. Rename Central Intelligence Agency to just Intelligence Agency. Rename Iron Dome to Anti-Missile Defenses (because Israel is just a colony of America, lets face it)
  13. Yes, because removing features is the best solution. Navy has their use, it's preventing trade, and in a game where the amount of money and resources you can send to a nation is unlimited it's extremely useful. Not so useful in curbstomp wars where the winner was decided before the war even began, but in long wars of attrition between equal sides.
  14. I screwed an escort/prostitute whom I'm pretty sure was much older than me at the time.
  15. Trotsky was a complete traitor and he deserved far worse than an ice-pick in the head. He actually had contact with Rudolf Hess (Deputy-Leader to Hitler) before WW2 discussing the possibilities of how the USSR would be divided up after a hypothetical Nazi German and Fascist Japanese invasion. Before WW2 he openly called for civil war against the USSR even with the threat of the Nazis and fascists, even after Trotsky's death Joseph Goebbels (Nazi propaganda minister) himself acknowledged that he had radio messages sent into the USSR calling for armed revolt in the name of Trotskyism. Also had contacts with the military government in Japan. He openly testified to the "House Committee of Un-American Activities", the infamous anti-Communist purge machine, in exchange for a US visa. He openly worked with the capitalists to split the international communist movement. Here's some quotes explaining exactly what Lenin thought of Trotsky:
  16. If the very top leadership of PW alliances can't even be bothered writing more than a sentence for DoW's then good-luck convincing anyone else to give a shit about your stupid wars.
  17. And yet, no real CBs. If everything happens behind closed doors in private channels, then the only people who can truly play "politics" in this game are the leaders of alliances. I've yet to see any real drama on Alliance affairs I'd call exciting. I mean, let's take this current rolling of NPO, you think this even slightly compares to the pure excitement of the Karma War when NPO's hegemoney was finally toppled as the whole world rose up? Please, now that was fun, this is a bore.
  18. What "Politics"? I haven't seen any politics in this war, the DoW's had basically nothing in them, in order to have "politics" you need to at least have two-way communication. Also lol at people desperately trying to "separate" this game from (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways), it's the same people, the same alliances (with some name changes), the same treaty web structures, all just reconstructed. And then your surprised that the cancer killing (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) spreads over here.
  19. This war doesn't seem to have much reason either. Given NPO were pretty evil in their (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) heyday, but I thought we weren't supposed to bring up inter-world issues~
  20. Why are the Deutsch forces wearing American uniforms? Suspicious.
  21. But PW missiles aren't MRLS, they're one big missile What I mean is, it would be like the descriptive text for spy attacks on soldiers, it says you detonated an explosive in a barracks.
  22. It would be make sense, but ONLY if it's the missile hitting a barracks, that would make sense for the "lore" reasons. A missile hitting and killing soldiers in the field would be dumb as soldiers are general spread out.
