  1. Today in Velika construction work was completed on the Palace of People's Trade, an international trade center in the heart of the capital Ostromir, only a few blocks from the Ostromir Kremlin, the seat of government. Construction began 12 months ago after plans for the tower were finished by the Velikan Academy of Sciences and given to the Ministry of Building. Over 3500 men took part in the construction, at a cost of some 43 million dinars as well as 2,375 tonnes of steel, 2,375 tonnes of aluminum, as well as 4,750 tonnes of petroleum. The building is 237 meters (778 ft) tall, including the structural 43-metre high spire making it one of the tallest buildings in the city. The palace utilizes the Stalinist/socialist realist architectural style (but also has influences from historicist and art-deco styles). The purpose of the palace is to promote international trade between Velika and other countries, all trade agreements will be planned and negotiated inside the palace, the palace will also be the new headquarters and office space for the Ministry of Foreign Trade, all bureaucrats from that agency will be moved to the palace where they will work on economic modelling for foreign trade in the Five-Year Plans. Foreign countries will also be able to apply for offices inside the building, where they can send diplomatic trade delegations. Velika has not yet officially opened itself for Embassies, but this is expect to happen shortly, all countries who have diplomatic relations with us will be entitled to an office at the new palace. The Palace also contains a multiplex cinema with eight screens, four theaters, two museums (Museum of Trade and Museum of Technology), offices, bookshops, a large swimming pool, an auditorium hall for 3000 people called Congress Hall, and an accredited university, on the 11th and 12th floors of the building.
  2. I like Roaches with Infesters in the rear, deadly up close.
  3. I have to agree, NPO's "treaty spam" was quite obviously not about friendship and good relations, it was about getting power quickly, having all those treaties posted on the same day proved that. Although this war could of been avoided diplomatically it's obvious that NPO made a mistake by expanding their influence too quickly, thereby antagonizing the major powers. Also NPO has a bad reputation, I know we're not supposed to mention Bob but NPO was pretty evil in their (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) heydey, the blocs they led steamrolled over every alliance who even slightly looked at them at the wrong way, and some were rolled just because. Their was a time during the hegemoney when even saying something on the forums that could be interpreted as anti-NPO could get your nation abandoned by its alliance and rolled. It's up to NPO to prove to Orbis that they aren't the same fascist monster goosestepping their way to global domination.
  4. Is this something you heard Alex Jones say?
  5. Then I hate it. I don't want no foreign organization dictating stuff onto my nation, we've already got alliances doing that.
  6. I think Pacific War sounds fine.
  7. You're joking right? Have you played any strategy game ever made? Believe me, PW is not complicated. EDIT: I mean, come on, you cannot claim a strategy game with 7 units (5 if you exclude missiles and nukes) is complicated.
  8. The same way they saw WoW's success and did the same with TSO?
  9. I dunno, probably because they're afraid of some kinda mass hysteria against a minority that could lead to pogrom like attacks? If there was real censorship their would be no articles or reporting on it at all.
  10. An individual was responsible for the crime, yes? Then that individual was responsible. Do you also report crimes as "Christian rapes", "Sikh rapes" or "Buddhist rapes" when committed by an individual or individuals of those religions? I don't think placing collective responsibility onto 1.57 billion people because of the act of 1 or a few people is fair or just.
  11. I think Meonesia is close to being a total write-off, a failed state. Coups and counter-coups, chronically weak central government, lack of strong national unity in the masses, political opportunism and factionalism, etc.
  12. I'd prefer to see the class breakdown of the vote, i.e. what is the annual income of those who voted remain vs exit. All I've seen seen seems to indicate that remainers are mostly upper-middle class inner city gentry types, while quit voters were poorer rural or suburban working class, especially "post-industrial" low income areas. What's sad is that the EU has become the scapegoat for all the economic problems in Britain like uneven development, crime, income inequality and unemployment, it makes one wonder what will happen in a few years when these problems still exist and in-fact get worse, what will they blame next? Have a look at this for evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCP0R3Z6T58
  13. But some resolutions would give economic bonuses to nations who OUN members, yes? That in itself is penalizing members who are not members.
  14. I'll start: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxism%E2%80%93Leninism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_communism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_patriotism EDIT: I should say, this is just for posting your nation's ideology, please don't derail it into political debates about which ideology is best.
  15. Is there a point to keeping these in the game? No alliance or individual nation is going to risk destruction to go on a crusade to collect multiple treasures, and I've yet to see any examples of treasures influencing world conflicts.
  16. Sounds good to me, I've always thought it silly that a player should know so much about other nations just by looking at their nation page. It's removing the entire possibility of some fun espionage actions from the game.
  17. "Muslim rape", are you saying that the entire religion of Islam was in on the act? That was the norm throughout most of the world at the time, due to lower lifespan.
  18. Oh god no, please don't bring global radiation BS to this game.
  19. The ability to "occupy" a nation after ground victories and take part of their income/resources does sound pretty cool.
  20. Isn't this the kind of thread you should be making after the war is finished?
  21. Someone can hate their own country, and want to change it to make it different, just because a country is currently in a certain state that doesn't mean it will always be like that. Telling your own countrymen to "leave the country" or "go to X country" because they have a different opinion on how the country should be organized, is fascist bullshit and you ought to be ashamed of peddling it.
  22. What's really disgusting is telling someone to "leave the country" because they have a different political view than you.
