  1. Update: I decided to delete. Bye, everyone.
  2. I don't really have much to say, but I figured I'd make a post here. After 2,000 days playing Politics & War, I think it's time for me to step away. The game just doesn't interest me as much as it did years ago. I've gotten more nation inactivity emails in the last year than I can remember. I won't be deleting, although I originally wanted to. I'll be going into vacation mode instead in case I decide to come back, though that seems unlikely at the moment. I'll continue helping on the wiki where I can, and I'll still be active on Discord. I wanted to say thank you to everybody who put up with my BS these last five years. From IRC, to Discord, to the multiple iterations of the National Affairs RP, and the alliances I've been in. I very much grew as a person throughout my time playing the game. Thank you to the Serene Sakura Union (though they're long gone) for being my first alliance in the game, The Knights Radiant for being my home for literally a few days after the SSU merger, Polaris for being my longest home at 1,280 days, and The Commonwealth for being my home for the last stretch of my time here. Side note: if anyone from Polaris sees this, sorry for being such an !@#$, though that's just how I am. I've realized just how stupid the whole thing was, and I couldn't care less about it anymore. If you want to start over, I'm down. If not, you don't have to see me again. That's it. Like I said, I'll still be active on Discord, posting anime memes and hentai in my personal server. Also, it'd be remiss of me not to use this post's title as an excuse to post this banger of a song. With all of that said, ja ne!
  3. As forum activity for the roleplay continues to drop, it was decided that Discord would be the best place to host the map-based RP moving forward. It was created with people's limited time in mind, and won't have an activity requirement as high as previously. The server will be limited to just the map-based RP for now, but may evolve to include more in the future. If you're interested in participating, you can join with the invite here.
  4. I've created the server. It's still a work-in-progress, but everyone can join and start using it. https://discord.gg/JU6kr5dEz9
  5. I'm working on creating a server. I'll link it here when I'm done.
  6. I'm sure I might be looking back at this a year from now and thinking to myself. "Lol yep, that was a thing." But screw it, I'll cut right to the chase, since I do have some ideas. It's no secret that forum-based nation RP is pretty much dead. Unless it's a massive community built around it, chances are things will end up like they have here on the Politics & War forum. Any attempt to revive the RP and bring activity up inevitably fails, cause who really goes on the forum for stuff like this anymore? Everyone uses Discord though, which is why my idea for the RP involves using a Discord server for the entire thing. I think people would be more willing to contribute to the RP in a Discord channel a little at a time instead of working on big posts on a forum every so often. Say each nation has their own dedicated channel. They could be given specials permissions within their channel to pin important posts like military information. Everyone can read the channel, but only the nation ruler would be able to post in their dedicated channel. There could be another channel for international interactions that everyone can post in. Someone could either type up a full post in that channel, or do it in their own channel and then link the message in the group channel. To put it simply, players can use their own nation channel to post whatever they'd like about their nation, be it news, story, or lore. Players can also use another channel for interacting with everyone else in-character. Using Discord would make it so much easier to mention people to let them know a certain post involves them, or straight up DMing them to plan something related to the RP. The biggest takeaway from all of this is that the RP would be taking place on a platform that pretty much everyone already uses, and participants can pop in, write up a post of whatever length they choose, and pop out again. If anyone actually sees this, what are your thoughts?

However, the Britannian governor left the safety of his troops to approach the man who had so boldly approached the soldier. The man gave a light smile and held out his hand for a handshake. "If you are willing to sacrifice you life for others, I will be willing to help. We will do our best to keep you and these people safe while our evacuation arrives. Inform them to not approach the border, and we will send troops to secure their flank." the man finished before twirling his 'opium pipe'. The name is Kei Sakura, Britannia's former Japanese Governor and current Mt. Fuji district governor.

He soon crossed the border and introduced himself to the members of the Britannian border patrol. "My name is Willard H. I've been sent by my superiors to ensure the safety of Rokkenjima's evacuees, and to oversee the neutral territories of Hong Kong and Macau. If Britannia is evacuating its civilians as well, these territories would be the safest places for the time being."
  10. Originally posted: May 14, 2020 by Lelouch Vi Britannia Mt.Fuji District The soldiers maintained their positioning. "Do not move, if you move you will be shot! Our orders are to evacuate Britannian civilians first and foremost. If you wish to evacuate please wait for more Britannian Ships to arrive. If you approach any further we will be forced to open fire. This is your only warning." The soldiers didn't move and maintained their composure. The governor of the district took a megaphone to also add in his input to the group. "We aren't looking for intel, we are trying to escape with as few casualties as possible. Don't make this harder for anyone. Once aid arrives we will insure everyone is able to leave, if an enemy force does arrive we will relocate you and do our best to defend you. For the moment, bring forth your leader so we may discuss evacuation procedures." The Britannian frigate sent to aid in the evacuation was closing in to aid the district as time drew closer and closer. With more and more reports of civilians fleeing, Britannia sent 2 transport ships and 2 Cruisers to aid in the evacuation as well. These extra ships would allow more civilians to flee, but at a small time cost.
  11. Originally posted: May 13, 2020 The man stopped for a moment, raising up a white flag. He shouted back to the guards. "We are not hostiles! This group behind me wishes to flee the chaos. They are under my protection until everyone has been successfully evacuated. A safe location has already been decided upon, but we must request Britannia's assistance! I've also come to deliver some intelligence regarding the witches!"

Refugee centers with good conditions have been set up by the navy for each nation involved and an aircraft and corvette have been deployed to the Mt. Fuji district to evacuate Britannian civilians, they will arrive in twenty minutes, much more quickly than Britannian relief. As foreign emissaries, the vessels are generally shielded from violence. All helicopters aboard the carrier have been deployed to evacuate refugees. Contact with UPSA forces will remain open to all nations and entities, including rebels in Rokkenjima. All are welcome to request aid. Not all will receive it.

Corporate drones would expand their reach as far as possible to keep an eye on the logistics of the theater. It was important to push inventory upon the various factions but ensure it was balanced in their favor, the government was given priority. It was required that they remained in charge of East Asia over other options, and forcing decolonization was a priority. The Air Force would regularly patrol local skies, the Med being closed to foreign transit unwilling to admit to boarding and testing. 14. Originally posted: May 10, 2020 by Lelouch Vi Britannia Mt.Fuji District It wouldn't be Britannia's first time on the opposite end of a Rokkenjima rifle, prior experience would be a double-edged sword. Lelouch knowing the devious nature of the Witches and in particular Eva-Beatrice would be tricky to counter-predict. Nonetheless, Britannia had already dispatched their frigate to aid in the extraction of Britannian from Mt. Fuji. Alongside this, Britannia had issued the "Shoot-On-Sight" order to any and all Rokkenjima personal who approach the Mt.Fuji district including civilians. The District would only need to hold out for a few hours for reinforcements to arrive. With the early departure and setup thankfully buying Britannia precious time Mt.Fuji would be prepared for the attack. Multiple layers of defense, border patrols and traps laid out in preparation for a brutal fight. The order would be broadcasted over the district, both to bolster the morale of the Britannians, and attempt to turn away Rokkenjima. This would be the ultimate test for the Mt.Fuji district. Meanwhile at the border a shout was heard near the border. The sizeable force following the sound put the source of the noise on the spotlight. "By order of his majesty, Emperor Lelouch you are considered a threat!" This call was followed by multiple troops taking a firing stance and preparing to fire their arms as well as call in mortar support. Overkill did not exist at a time like this.
  15. Originally posted: May 10, 2020 by Aqua-Corpsman Upon hearing the news in Rokkenjima, the quarantined public cried for intervention to save human life. The Queen, eager to put some force on the witches, ordered SOF to start operations in Rokkenjima and help rebellious forces. The 13th Recon Flotilla is taken out of quarantine and sent with transports to pick up strictly human refugees. The ships are ordered to defend the transports at all costs. Queen Alice sends Witch Beatrice a telegram. It reads, "Shalom, This is Queen Alice of the Kingdom of Israel. I have dispatched the Israeli 13th Recon Flotilla to Rokkenjima to pick up human refugees from China and Japan. Do not attempt to hinder this, as my ships are ordered to protect human life at all costs. Stopping the Flotilla will bring the full might of the Kingdom of Israel and her Commonwealth down on you. If you do not interfere, we will have no issues. We are willing to make adjustments to make this comfortable but humans that wish to leave Rokkenjima will be allowed or Israeli forces will attack. Mind you, any witches snuck aboard Israeli ships will be dumped at sea. There are armed guards on each transport to guard them and maintain order on the way back to Israel. Other species will be dropped off in Durotar and Britannia with the respective government's approval. Any questions?" With that sent, Queen Alice realizes this very well could cause war and she notifies the Dukes and Duchess' of every Duchy in the Kingdom to ready their troops, despite the virus. Social distancing is still in effect and soldiers are instructed to wash hands often. The 1st and 7th Flotillas are positioned in Saudi ports, ready to sail to Japan at a minute's notice.
  16. Originally posted: May 10, 2020 Dusk had arrived before long. At this point, the interspecies forces that made up the seemingly former Rokkenjima Armed Forces were still hours away. Although Rokkenjima was populated by various species, Japan had always had a majority witch population. The Witch Council was all too aware of this fact. Indeed, it was a large factor in their decision to bolster the number of witches in the Rokkenjima Armed Forces in the weeks leading up to this nationwide revolt. The Witch Council, additionally, was aware of the legitimate threat that the de facto leaders of each species could pose. Both Commander Satan - former leader of Ente Isla's Demon Army, and General Esdeath - leader of the Jaegers, had prior experience with leading their own armies. In fact, the Rokkenjima Armed Forces had been meticulously designed to act as the leaders of Rokkenjima should the government be unable or unwilling to rule. The Council knew the exact locations of these two, as well as other popular individuals within each species. Commander Satan and his Generals Alciel and Lucifer were stationed in the former country of North Korea. General Esdeath, the Jaegers, and Night Raid were stationed in South Korea. The vampires, although their leader was less certain, mainly reside in Manchuria. It was for these reasons that the Witch Council knew they could secure Japan with relative ease. Between the time it would take to arrive in Japan, and the likely hostilities that would occur between each species, Japan already belonged to the witches. Perhaps this was the reason why the number of witches taking part in the ensuing chaos was almost none. They knew the other sides would either destroy each other, or completely exhaust themselves waiting for their respective military forces which would never come. Instead, the witches would focus their energy on an entirely separate entity - the Britannian colony within Japan itself. Many hours had passed with no response to Britannia's repeated attempts to contact the Witch Council. Finally, however, someone responded. It was a message intended directly for the Britannian Emperor himself. "Greetings, Emperor Lelouch. I am sure you are fully aware of who this is. That is right, the Golden and Endless Witch Beatrice. It is with great regret that I inform you we will have to wait a while longer before our respective countries can work together as promised. I am certain you understand. In the meantime, however, I would like to apologize for what is about to happen next." With that, the message abruptly ended. The amount of dread was palpable in the Mt. Fuji district as the sun began to set. Most could probably assume that if an attack was coming, it would likely occur after dark. This thought, however, was suddenly interrupted by the sight of a lone man leading a reasonably large group of people behind him. Approaching the border to the district, the man waved his arms and shouted in an attempt to get the attention of the Britannian border patrol. "Heeeeey!"
  17. Originally posted: May 8, 2020 by Lelouch Vi Britannia Mt.Fuji District With reports of Rokkenjima's riots turning deadly and the threat of the Britannian controlled Mt. Fuji district in the heart of this conflict reports were going back and forth between Pendragon and the Mt. Fuji district. While the 1,000 man garrison have moved to full combat readiness plan have also been put into place to attempt to either evacuate or get in contact with the Witch Council to get an explanation. For the time being both Mt.Fuji District and Pendragon have been attempting to contact the witch council to get an explanation or at the very least secure the Mt.Fuji district from the conflict that has essentially started. The civilian population and workers have already begun to prepare for evacuation, this evacuation while has to destination, would be out of reach from Rokkenjima. To aid in the extraction 1 Britannian Cruiser has been sent from Britannia to aid in the mission. While reports are still coming in, the Mt.Fuji district has been closed to all traffic except Britannian, all travel to Rokkenjima and from has also been closed, and efforts to extract Britannian civilians has begun. Any citizens should report to the Mt. Fuji district as soon as possible with proper ID and avoid public places. More updates will follow.
  18. Originally posted: May 7, 2020 Immediately following the Rokkenjima News Report, the angry protesters of various species began to turn violent. The impact of the now violent protests was felt the hardest in Rokkenjima's major cites - Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Pyongyang, Beijing, and Shanghai. There was property damage, of course. Shattered windows, broken-in doors, and even some flipped cars here and there lined the streets. Soon after, however, it began to dawn on people the magnitude of the situation they were now in. There were now large groups of people throughout the country acting out in spite of their government. For the first time, Rokkenjima was in conflict with itself. The people realized that between the widespread protests, and Rokkenjima's interspecies military, that this could be their one and only opportunity to seize power for themselves. Upon this realization, all hell broke loose. It isn't known what side attacked first, but in an instant, the first blood of the conflict had been shed as Rokkenjima's various species turned on each other. Although most of their anger was directed at the witches near the beginning, especially after the Witch Council had enlisted nearly 28,000 more witches into the military, it was now a free-for-all. Without any weapons or military intervention, humans had the greatest disadvantage. They were easy targets for any vampires, demons, and witches they came across. Many people began to take shelter anywhere they could manage. This usually meant taking over any building that was close to them, and fighting inside until the dominant species remained. No one was spared, even innocent civilians who hadn't participated in the protests. The bloody fighting would continue nonstop well into the afternoon. Despite the large number of deaths throughout the nation, none of the sides could manage to gain much territory for themselves. The most they could do without any weapons or military assistance was capture small buildings. Any large buildings experienced floor-to-floor fighting, where different species controlling multiple floors was common. The Witch Council looked down on the ensuing chaos from atop an undisclosed building in Tokyo. They exchanged some glances, but no words, as if they were completely aware of this outcome beforehand. They had ceased communication with the Rokkenjima Armed Forces, with the exception of the witch division, leaving everyone else completely in the dark. Members of the military stationed across the nation witnessed the chaos as it aired on RNN. With no new orders coming in from the Witch Council, they realized they were on their own. They were now free to make any decision they saw fit, and soon, they would.
  19. Originally posted: May 3, 2020 Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for May 3, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. Today's broadcast will be a rather short one, but extremely important. Please stay tuned until the end. Since Rokkenjima reported its first cases of COVID-19 on April 8th, there have been almost nonstop protests, both small and large, by many of Rokkenjima's various species. Before we get into the Witch Council's response to the protests, RNN would like to report to the people of Rokkenjima and the world that Rokkenjima is now free of the Coronavirus. The fifteen patients who tested positive between the cities of Beijing and Hong Kong have all recovered thanks to the efforts of our brave healthcare workers. They will continue to be monitored for the next fourteen days just to be sure, but are expected to be able to return to daily life very soon. We thank everyone involved with making this possible, and wish the patients healthy days ahead. Moving on, the Witch Council has given us permission to air their response to Rokkenjima's mass protests, so we will shift gears to that now. "Good morning, people of Rokkenjima. This is Eva-Beatrice, speaking to you on behalf of the Witch Council. We are delivering this address today in response to the recent protests throughout the country, as well as demands being made toward us. For many years, Rokkenjima has been a strong and stable nation, in many ways thanks to the diverse population that makes it up. We have accomplished many great things together as one nation. Throughout the years, the Witch Council has done its best to ensure that all species living in Rokkenjima are able to live the best lives possible. Although the Council is composed of only witches, we are far from the only species in Rokkenjima to hold power. There is no better example of this than our own military. Between Commander Satan Jacob and his Demon Generals, General Esdeath, and the many other humans, demons, angels, Diclonii, vampires, and witches who are currently serving, all of them contribute to Rokkenjima's continued prosperity and success. With this in mind, the Witch Council is denying repeated requests to form an interspecies governing body. We wish to keep moving forward as we have been since our formation, together as one. Thank you." RNN asks that any responses to the Council's decision are kept civil. That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!

  21. Originally posted: April 23, 2020 by Lelouch Vi Britannia Statement from The Holy Britannian Empire With Covid-19 now becoming a new threat to global health Britannia has begun their own initiative to combat it before it spreads too much. This comes to the forefront of politics as a handful of workers in the Mt.Fuji district of Britannia have tested positive while spending their time in Rokkenjima. A handful of resolutions have been proposed and have only recently passed approval that will aim to combat the virus, but also protect Britannia and their interests with the healthcare they need. 1. Britannia will dispatch a team of doctors and other health-workers to Rokkenjima and Mt.Fuji district to both combat and observe the Virus to hopefully create a cure. Pending approval from Rokkenjima 2. Britannia will be increasing taxes by 1% in order to increase the pay of health-workers who will be working a lot more to combat the virus as well as other precautions that will be put into place to prevent an outbreak. 3. Testing for the virus will now be put into place at all entry points into the country. 4. Intentionally hiding the virus or spreading it will result in a fine and imprisonment 5. Britannian citizens in Rokkenjima will have the option to temporarily reside in the Mt.Fuji district during the outbreak, spots to be pending availability and can't be guaranteed.
  22. Originally posted: April 20, 2020 Due to the current health crisis and situation within Rokkenjima, the Witch Council had found themselves in the routine of holding daily meetings. Today was no different, as they were once again gathered in an undisclosed building in Tokyo, this time being briefed by Rokkenjima's Head of Internal and Foreign Affairs, Crestia Bel. "In regard to COVID-19, the number of cases in both Beijing and Shanghai have remained consistent. As of right now, Beijing remains at fifteen cases while Shanghai remains at eight. Furthermore, the health departments of both cities have begun requiring every citizen to be tested. People have been complying with the order thus far, but continue to voice their displeasure with the situation online. As long as the virus remains in those two cities, however large they may be, we should have enough testing kits for everyone. We've yet to see additional cases elsewhere since the bolstering of defenses along our border." Beatrice nodded, taking in the information. "Indeed. That would be in line with what we learned from Commander Satan's report earlier that the People's Liberation Army is focusing their efforts on policing China's population, punishing anyone who goes outside unnecessarily. Since we caught wind of what they were doing, the smuggling of infected people across the border has ceased." Bernkastel shifted her expressionless gaze to Crestia, casually asking her question. "And what is the state of the protests?" Crestia responded. "Right. It seems the protests have started gaining traction among all of Rokkenjima's species. They've started to become more unified as well, with the common desire for equal representation in government. They remain peaceful for the moment. However, there has been some arguments over whom would hold the most power if an interspecies council is created, and the power that members would have over a different species." Virgilia voiced her concern. "I believe the possibility of these protests turning violent is high. It would be wise for this council to discuss the creation of an interspecies council as well as who would be included in such a thing, or at the very least, address the concerns of the citizens." Lambdadelta raised a point in response. "How do we know that doing any of those things will even calm the protests? What did they do upon noticing the number of Coronavirus cases didn't rise? They shifted the goal post from how Rokkenjima should respond to the virus to something entirely different. Who's to say they won't do that again? Sure, an interspecies council could be created, but so long as someone disagrees with their representative, they shall never be satisfied. It's all on Eva-Beatrice though, since she decided not to enforce her Territory Lord powers this time around." Eva had a cheeky grin on her face as she looked at Lambda. "Hoh? I'm sorry Lady Lambdadelta, are you dissatisfied with the current state of affairs? I thought you would've been enjoying this more than rolling around in absolute boredom. Nevertheless, the Witch Council will hold a discussion on the matter and address the nation after coming to a decision. Thank you, Crestia Bel, for the report. You are dismissed for now." Crestia bowed respectfully, taking her leave. Upon her exit, the Witch Council would begin their discussion.
  23. These are pretty lame so far. We need some cultured suggestions, such as: "Ugh, fine. I guess you are my little pogchamp. Come here..." I'll also throw this in cause it's simple and I love Bray Wyatt. "Let me in."
