As the name implies, this discussion has been made to suggest the end of the Consent rule, or at the very least, modify it so that we can still impact other nations without having to worry about consent. Here are my current suggestions, feel free to discuss them again: 1.) Remove the Consent Rule in it's entirety - Basically, we would completely remove the consent rule, thus no longer requiring consent to go to war and essentially creating a situation similar to Organic RP. No longer would anyone be able to hide behind the consent rule, and at the very least we would be able to have the occasional war. 2.) Modify the Consent rule - Allow nations to interdict trade without the need for consent. Personally, I don't like this idea that much.

THIS IS CONCURRENT TO OP'S POST Having detected the incoming missile and realizing that it could very well destroy everything within a 20km radius around the city, Admiral Wilhelm Taube, seeing the lives of his men as more important than his own, ordered that the majority of the fleet, save the ship he was on, get as many civilians onboard via the old (and rather unreliable) transporters that the Akaata had provided a few years back before commencing an emergency jump to a location within 100 light-years. Once they had done as ordered, he ordered for all fighters to scramble and move to intercept the incoming missile while also launching several onboard missiles in the hopes that, if the fighters were to fail, at least there would be a backup. Taube then walked to the front of the bridge and sighed, knowing that the situation was out of his hands now.

With Austrian forces now fully taking part in operations under the UNSC, it would be necessary to send aid should the situation arise. With this in mind, once the Austrian fleet had been notified of a confrontation taking place, it was decided that forces would be sent to aid UNSC forces in and around Hong Kong. While the majority of the crew on the SMS Franz-Josef and SMS Kaiser Johan believed that this could lead to a spike in the tensions within the region, it wasn't up to them at this point, as the Joint Chiefs of Staff had already elected to send the ships under Admiral Wilhelm Taube to Hong Kong. Upon their arrival, they would take up positions about half a click above the planet's surface, their guns trained upon the vessels from Rokkenjima. Over Austrian and UNSC ship-to-ship comms, a voice could be heard giving the following message: "Attention all ships. This is Admiral Taube of the 2nd Imperial Fleet reporting for duty as required by our ascension to the UNSC. All ships are locked onto Rokkenjiman targets should they fire first. Be advised, the SMS Sieger and SMS Herrschaft will arrive in approximately twenty minutes. Keep fighters on standby until further notified." the voice said before cutting out. After a few minutes, the other ships would arrive nearby, themselves prepared to fire upon the Rokkenjiman vessels as well.

So, I have been thinking that since Organic RP is supposedly more "serious" than NatRP, there are some things that are needed. For instance, we need an established history for it, if only so that we can have things to reference back to. As such, I would like to ask that you provide at least one paragraph describing your nation's history starting from, lets say 1900. While not entirely necessary, I will provide an example (which will serve as my nation's history in this case): The Empire of Austria, formerly the Empire of Austria-Hungary, came to existence in it's modern form during the fires of the great war lasting from 1912 to 1920. During the war, it managed to gain territory from the Po river to the Ukrainian Steppe and from the North of Bohemia to as far south as Kosovo. At the conclusion of the war, Austria was permitted to keep much of this land, however, it would prove impossible to hold forever. As such, one-by-one, these newly conquered territories gained their independence until Austria was left with only the core territories comprising of Bohemia, Austria, Hungary, Transylvania, Croatia, and Slovenia. As one emperor died and his legacy passed on to another, so did the goal of retaking these lost lands and placing them firmly under the heel of the Imperial Family. However, as the new millennium sweeps in, reform becomes inevitable- the only question is who will make the first move. Occitania, upon receiving this news, will begin prioritizing the creation of a sustainable fusion reactor as well as look into alternative sources of energy.

As of the year 2010, we were forced back to the Straits of Gibraltar, loosing the majority of Northern Africa and all of our North American holdings as well as Portugal for whatever reason. It is now 2027, and Emperor Jehan VII has declared an end to the state of decline our empire has faced over the passed decades and has given an ultimatum to the former colonies: Submit or die... Only Northern Morocco joined, forcing the Empire to prepare for war. It seems that the years of decline are finally at an end, and with it, a new power shall rise from the ashes of the old world.

(NOTE: This post is in the perspective of a soldier in the Austrian Army at some point in the future, thus certain details will be missing) I still remember their cries... their terrible cries... As if it were just yesterday. To think, it was so many years ago... In September of 2025, an insurrection led by one Mikhail Borysov began in the province of Galicia-Lodomeria. In response, Kaiser Franz-Josef, long may he live, ordered for a military intervention to take place within the province. While it was officially preformed to restore order in the region, we all knew that it was really to further incorporate the region under Austrian authority. As many now know, it did not originally go to plan, with our forces winding up bogged down in the region for over a year due to a period of extreme rain followed by a severe winter, leading us to have to dig in for a time. Of course, that wasn't the only problem, with Borysov hiring what could only be described as an army of highly trained mercenaries as well as militias harassing us at any chance they could get. Eventually, in July of 2026, we managed a breakthrough at Chernivtsi, however, the cost of human life, whether combatant or civilian, was far to great. It is my belief that all who fought in that battle and survived in the city lost a key part of their humanity in the process. In the end, nothing was left of us, we were lost from the world, our lives changed forever. By September of that year, we had captured Mikhail Borysov, and with it, the rest of Galicia-Lodomeria was ours, and yet, in exchange for the territory, we lost ourselves. Having received word of the establishment of a new nation in the Americas, Emperor Franz-Joseph II sent the following message to the leadership of the nation in question:

Unus enim Deus, unus et imperium, una religio Greetings to whomever reads/hears this. My name is Stefan Antonis, representative of his Imperial Majesty, Baselius Alexios VII of the Eastern Roman Empire. Today, I simply wish to help those who know little of our nation, of our history, of our culture. As such, I shall begin. It began in the year 1071, with the battle of Manzikert, in which Roman forces managed, against all odds, to secure a victory over the Seljuk Invaders, killing their leader, Alp Arslan, in the process. This was, by all means, a miracle, seeing as half of the Roman army had deserted prior, or at least, so it seemed. Anyways, for the next nine centuries, the empire prospered, gaining back much of it's land in the Levant and Egypt, at least until the Great War. It was in that war that the Empire was truly tested, and with that, much of the empire was lost to revolts. Thankfully, those lands were maintained under the empire's economic control, if only just. We are now on the verge of a new era, one in which the people are gaining more of a say in the matters of the state, with calls for a parliament to be established in Constantinople. Having survived for just over 2,000 years in some form or another, it was seen as the Europe's bulwark against the east. Constantinople, it's capital, known as the "City of the World's desire", is a major trade hub in the Mediterranean, from which the wealth of the east and west flow in. Naturally, there have been many threats against the Empire, thus leading to it being necessary to have a sizable military in order to defend it. While it is technically an absolute monarchy, the current Baselius (Emperor) is supportive of granting further rights to the civilian populace. Well, the Eastern United States is currently open, or you could hop on the Siberia bandwagon if you wished. Literally all of South America is available as well as much of Africa. It really is up to you, though we could really use a nation in India.

As reform begins to sweep the empire, it has quickly become apparent that it is necessary to improve the Austrian military for defense against threats- both within and without. In this goal, Emperor Franz has called upon every able-bodied citizen to join the military if possible. In order to facilitate this military expansion, new barracks have been established in every major city as well as new airbases and military factories, primarily for defense, mind you. Below will be a list of new military facilities being built: Barracks (per constituent nation): Austria: 16 Italy: 6 Hungary: 22 Transylvania: 8 Bohemia: 11 Galicia-Lodomeria: 4 Croatia: 14 Airbases & Military factories: Same as above While these new construction projects will cost a fair amount of coin, it is expected that within the next five years, the money that was lost will be regained completely. It is hoped that this expansion of the military will be enough to defend the nation from any threats whatsoever, or at least it is hoped that such will be the case. In the mean time, it is expected that the majority of the current Austrian fighter aircraft with the new A-93's, which were developed by both Austrian and German Aerospace engineers. In any case, it is hoped that this military expansion will be enough to restore Austria's place among the largest military powers on Earth... CLASSIFIED (you don't actually know this is happening in rp): Phase-1 of Project Vanguard is nearing completion, thus giving us a presence beyond Earth. We do know that there are beings from beyond earth, so it has become clear that we must defend ourselves, as well as Earth, from whatever threats might come against us. In this goal, three new corvettes have been built, with several larger ships on the way. It is also hoped that Austria might be able to assist the United Nations Space Command in the near future, should a sizable threat come against Humanity. In the mean time, the fleet will be known as the "1st Earth Defense Fleet" and it's motto is currently "In defensionem est Civitatum Nationes de terra", or "In Defense of the United Nations of Earth". In any case, we look to the future with renewed optimism and hope that any future contact with aliens will be as peaceful as before.
