  1. The real question is if it will skip an additional leap-day in the 50th century to be aligned with the Earth's rotation or if they'll stick with the Gregorian Calendar, which will be one day off by then.
  2. "Leap, fellow soldiers, unless you wish to betray your eagle to the enemy. I, for my part, will perform my duty to the Templars and my @Horsecock, bank robber, and the other triumvir dude."
  3. b& for banning a banner who b& a b& banner
  4. Intelligence Agency is also a good project, especially if your alliance coordinates spy ops during wartime.
  5. This is from a ground attack that destroyed an air force base. There shouldn't be a space after air force base. Very minor, but still annoying.
  6. You have to at least shoot to have a chance of hitting the target. You just need to adjust your windage.
  7. There isn't one. Either DM a mod or report your own post and ask for it to be taken down. They may or may not take it down for you.
  8. Give us the option to arm our people to shoot your spies. That way, I can pad my gun number the citizens of Orbis have a fair shot.
  9. That's the problem with Orbis. Nobody thinks of the poor whales. The military industrial complex needed more customers, so they sold to nations who shoot up whale camps. Who'll think of the poor whales?
  10. "Nobody's coming for your whales," they said. Now that they're going door-to-door to all whales, can we call it what it is?
  11. IMO, we have all the competent people. They just don't have the time, drive, energy, and/or desire to build a new alliance. The main reason EoS fell when I led it was I didn't have the time. I don't have the time right now, either. I did think I would have more time late last year and planned a new alliance. I had a theme, created a Discord, but waited to see if I actually did have time before telling anyone, even my close PaW friends and KT leaders. (I was going to try to be a protectorate of a KERTCHOG alliance for a few months, so I probably should've said something to someone.) I obviously didn't have nearly as much time as I thought I might, so I'm still in KT. Some of KT's high gov could probably pull off an alliance, but I don't think they want to create a new alliance. I'd imagine its the same elsewhere. Plus, we're losing leader through retirement, quitting, and new players doing what you described. That's why I try to help micros, on the off chance one of their leaders is actually competent and can become a new influential player.
  12. I get that and can respect it. That's how alliances should go, not trying to hang onto old glory, like people showing up to their high school reunions with letterman jackets reminding everyone about their game winning TD. Sad to see you go. You were one of the few good people on here. Good luck going forward and hopefully we'll see each other sometime.
  13. I wonder how many new guys don't get what this is referencing. It was always toxic. It was just contained much better earlier, stuck mainly in IRC and alliance forums.
  14. Well, damn. The US must have known how much cash AQ had at semi-regular intervals over the past few years, then.
  15. We've already had one hard reset. IIRC, retention wasn't that great after. Hey, we agreed in the infra buy to x thread. How could you forget me, especially when we're fighting each other?
  16. I read that as "fish tank" for some reason, lmao.
  17. Exactly. It's always been annoying since pre-speed-round. It's even more annoying now that 20+ cities is common. I'm still going to attack you, even though we agree.
  18. Your allies, United States of America, The Global Union, and Elite Democratic Republic are all involved. Seeing as how United States of America and Elite Democratic Republic have signed a MDoAP and ODoAP with you respectively, they should've told you. Or they should have at least informed you they were at war. The market spiking could also be an indicator, or radiation. However, I don't believe world wars usually affect micros, aside from radiation and in the market, so I wouldn't go as far as saying not knowing is dumb. You've lasted almost 2 months on Orbis, so I would say you should take interest in politics outside of micros.
  19. Been on @Alex's to-do list, apparently.
  20. If someone has and keeps a wc with enough to build a new city or swap out projects when they're at war, more power to them.
  21. People can sell resources on the market at the high market prices to make money to play the game. The market is made up of all the buyers and sellers in Orbis. Since no continent can produce everything, every nation in Orbis is part of the market. I would argue this is not true. It may appear to be true for a new nation. However, the market at the time was considered extremely low. This is likely due to the influx of resources from the Nova Rita scandal, where members of NR were able to duplicate resources. As a result of the exploit, the number of resources in Orbis almost doubled, allowing NR to flood the market with extremely cheap resources. - We are currently engaged in an almost world war. Food production is at -100% for all continents, except Antartica (which is already limited to half food production). You can also see the radiation modifier in your Revenue tab, by the food production line. I would suggest replacing your 31 farms in your nation, since you're not making any food in North America right now. If you're trying to get better, take this feedback. This isn't meant to be condescending (it may sound like it, but that's not my intent). I am a former alliance leader, heir, head of econ, head of milcom, and other low gov positions. Your city builds aren't optimal, so I doubt the rest of your alliance is doing much better. Message me in-game if you want some tips. - I think recruitment bots are a much better way to spend your money. I'm sure someone would be willing to sell one to you if you ask around on Discord. Sell your resources on the global market to get enough money to buy from the global market. That can easily be fixed with proper city building and selling on the global market. - I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at here. The market is controlled by the collective playerbase. Supply and demand applies here. Most nations not in alliances survive through raiding and are less affected by the market. Micros are just as capable of selling on the market to make money. Most major alliances don't control or influence what their members buy/sell, nor do they influence the price. Everything you sell is helping your nation. The game was designed (in theory) so new players make raw resources, medium sized nations make manufactured resources, and large players make money through commerce. You have a comparative advantage in raw resource production since new nations don't have a large city age population bonus.
  22. Most out of date and out of context logs discussing hypotheticals for use as a CB to enter a war that is suicide, while lying continuously throughout regarding foreign involvement. I nominate EoS for that one. A bit late, but better late than never.
