  1. It is not a policy grouping for the faint of heart. EDIT: I did not see that the OP has deleted until I made this post, for one; also in-game policies of certain posters to not necessarily align to out-of-character political values they may hold.
  2. So, does this mean we have The Marsh and The Reed Sea now?
  3. Had this happen just now against me in a conflict. Since I have no units and am at unlootable money minimums, only infrastructure damage and MAP loss was incurred. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=813278
  4. Zed's Literary Experience - Letters Of The Royal Society I; a tl-dr on Prefonteen Prefonteen has Post-Traumatic Enemy Disorder. Classic symptoms include knowing that Abbas runs your FA secretly, forgetting how to log into your nation and properly launch attacks, wondering how in the world SK went from being an old enemy to being an ally of your spheremate, and having no ducking clue about why you would want to reinvent the game with a pariah only for them to have a backroom deal with Super Chola X and sell Korean comics to fund their war efforts. This is a serious condition that occurs when certain creatures, be they human or snek, have had to deal repeatedly with the same stories and problems over and over again, and for some reason get dragged out of retirement multiple times to take on such a burden. Truly, I myself would not wish to un-retire from doing FA work. For more information about how you can treat PTED in those people whose posts about Taylor Swift you appreciate, please see this post. *Disclaimer - the post above is fictitious and meant to be humourous. If you did not find it funny, that is your loss. But on a more serious note, mental health is an important thing to take care of, and if any of you are struggling with issues in mental health, please do get help and seek treatment. There is no shame in doing so. There is a lot going on in the world, and as someone who has seen dear friends go into some dark places, I would prefer to hear fewer stories like that from people (or attack helicopters for those of you who identify as such beings) I interact with.
  5. I think we can work something out here.
  6. Hola, amigxs. I have been requested to provide another rousing episode of Zed's Acoustical Experience. However, I have been unable to do so ever since hostilities began both in my personal life and in Orbis. With that said, it has occurred to me that some of your gentle persons are scholars and intellectuals of keen mind and spirit, and you would appreciate the written word as much as the spoken word. Alas, while I cannot bless you with my soft rustic accent, you can take some heart in hearing it narrated through some most loquacious and exhilarating written word. Today I will be writing an exegesis of the fine scholarship you see linked here, while relating it to the events taking place on Orbis right now. I was extremely disappointed to learn of some of the sloppy scholarship in references, in the same way I was extremely disappointed to learn of various parties of Orbis and their plots of hegemony. It is quite clear that in the referred article, Novel rhinovirus responsible for newt eye infection, Ms Granger should be the lead author. Messrs Potter and Weasley have had multiple accusations of plagiarism levied at their work, to say nothing of the sloppiness of Mr Potter's theories of mice being on the moon Europa. While it is true that the number of nuclear detonations in Orbis have rendered Europe at -100% food production, and doomed it to be an icy tomb continent for many months, such theories are baseless and unfounded. They are far too speculative to be included in a serious work of scholarship. Regarding, Treatment of Karenovirus infection with processed food, I was alarmed to see that an actual scholar and inventor, Ms Cheeks, was not lead author. I understand that one of her co-authors, Mr Squarepants, is more famous and speaks with more authority on matters; however it is really a curious act as to why primary actors would supersede more accomplished scholars and workers in such an important article. Similarly in Orbis, to consider someone like Prefonteen to be the leader of a sphere is noble, but Prefonteen does not even drive the narrative in his own alliance! I wish I had more answers to solve this problem, but alas, I do not. I did not have any arguments in relation to the author order in, Prepare for trouble: Coronavirus outbreak reaches North America, as it is quite clear to me that Ms Jesse is the more experienced author over Mr James. I would hope that they make it a double if they submit future work, as an inverse to my hopes on the outcome of the latest global war being run back for a second time. To see scholarship from no less than 15 different versions of a person named Ms Joy, all with the same profession in nursing, was truly astounding. While it is not always clear regarding their credentials; RN, LPN, MNP, DNP, etc., the disambiguation of names here was. I was also extremely impressed by the quality of their work. It speaks to the need to have a method of sorting out any potential ambiguities in research narratives. I have seen many recent failures of differentiating the narrative from ambiguities and issues of late in Orbis regarding certain preplanned hostile actions, and I cannot understand why this is the case. The $yndicate's Vice President of Global Operations, Batavia, recently went on record about his involvement with previous alliances who occupy high positions in pantheons of immortality. He is generally a more silent figure in terms of his global profile, so I found it very curious that he would speak out so freely about these alliances. I felt much the same way when reading, Phobia of Bats and Its Applications in Criminal Justice, by Mr Wayne. The Dark Knight is generally loathe to be unmasked in the public, and his dealings on both sides of the law at times, combined with his high moral code and integrity, mean that such public statements when he is not called upon are quite rare. Love caught in the fire revolution would be a wonderful title for the happenings of 30 city nations down-declaring on 12 city noobs, just as it was with the work of Dr Zhivago. Nothing further needs to be said here. Phoenyx has written numerous forum threads that sometimes entertain, and sometimes do not rise to the occasion. A thread in multiple parts is always useful, just as shower thoughts can be. I found a similar comparison to be made with, Similarities between politicians and fictional bears, part xi., as Messrs Pooh and Milne have written. Of critical analysis in that article is the following quote, which I will post here raw for your your own discernment as to how it relates to the multiple posts by other members of the Orbis Community. From there, it is worth pointing out the similarities between this and, Comparative methods of involuntary movement restriction as applied in Wuhan and Xinjiang. Numerous commentators have indicated that Quack seems to have some sort of gag order on its members, to prevent them from making forum posts. This is blatantly false. If it were true, you would not see this wonderful effortpost by yours truly. In the same manner, favored people such as Eumirbago, also known as Big E, are only reserved expressly for the most serious and serious business posts. We are all blessed by Big E, and thus we should feel grateful when he provides us with his posts. A group of four Renaissance Painters have written a very fine article in this piece, showcasing their all-around talent. Effects of exposure to sewage on martial arts skills in turtles, demonstrates how certain swampy conditions may have an impact on how creatures may fight. There is no indication that such methods would be applicable on Orbis as of yet, but it should be noted that some pirates may have stories on the high seas to corroborate or deny these feats. There are undoubtedly some people who would want to say, "Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead", following the conclusion of this post. As above with the gag order, I decided to make this exegesis without tacit approval from Prefonteen. Besides, isn’t it more exciting when you don’t have permission? Correctamundo. And that’s what we’re gonna be. We’re gonna be cool. Just because you are a character doesn’t mean that you have character. What is significant is that I felt the touch of God. God got involved. If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions. When Messrs Winfield and Vega wrote their latest academic work together, sadly their last by the way, What do they call a predatory journal in France?, they asked many of the same questions. If you are looking for a tl;dr on this post, you won't find it here. Look, do you wanna play blind man? Go walk with the shepherd. And finally, in this analysis, a gentle public health reminder. Global pandemic or not, The importance of handwashing in Aipoms, still rings true. Wash your hands people. Please.
  7. Chuck, I am just disappointed that I commended you and you had the audacity to denounce me in public!
  8. Does this mean you are fighting on both sides now?
  9. Zed

    First

Aw, it is too bad I just saw this. You already got the 50 mark. I would make an exception to my practice of commending nations just to help you out bby. It is basically a commendation.
  10. You as well as anyone out here should know that there are only three acceptable posts on the OWF, and everything else is just fluff. "Congrats" "What a surprise" "I am buttmad in my butt"
  11. Really? Honestly, I sat on this post for about 10 minutes, before just giving up on any further reply.
  12. I will admit, it hasn't been a great year for our Lord overall, and we still have two months of joy left. I, for one, welcome the formation of The Orbis Hague - Criminal Court.
  13. That will be very heavily abused by active recruiting alliances who know what they are doing.
  14. Zed

    no

Does the approval system really matter?
  15. I'm disappointed in both of you for not using clean Wind Power instead of dirty polluting and resource consuming other forms of power.
  16. As per your request in the OP, I want to send you hate mail here OwO. How do I do that?
  17. We need more OWF content.
  18. An entire bloc signing an M-level treaty with another alliance is effectively that alliance joining the bloc, no? Seems like an interesting way to go about folding someone in. That said, it is an interesting move for both sides. Good luck.
  19. You know I was a little curious, so I had a look-see at the color trade blocs; using them as a proxy for the number of active nations. The Helpful tools color bloc link indicates 14,771 nations, which is a large discrepancy from the nations page which lists 27k. I am much more willing to trust the helpful tools link myself. Of those 14k nations on the helpful tools chart, over 9,000 (insert Vegeta.gif here) are Gray; if you go by the 27k total nations figure, then 21k are Gray. There are 3,170 on any active color, and 2,283 on Beige. For the sake of argument, let us just assume that all of the colors and Beige are active nations. That is a sum total of under 5,500 nations in-game. While 93 votes isn't a very high number compared to 5,500, it sure is a lot closer than 27k or even 14k. This isn't to say that mods and admins should just make changes on a whim because they feel like it, or have some unfortunate situation in-game happen to them while they were not able to deal with it. But, considering the people who did vote, I would argue that it is probably a fairly representative sample of the active and involved players in game, if still a little small (10% would be a much more ideal target).
  20. If you really wanted to copy something from the other game which shall not be named, then making the existing color blocs stronger with elements of Senators and Sanctions would be one of the few things I would port over. There are, in my opinion, enough color blocs as it is. There should be more intrigue around the ones that do exist.
  21. Just like private banks should not be bailed out for making terrible decisions on loans, I would be against bailing out players who invested in projects like Spy Satellite. There is a really bad road ahead with doing things like that. Projects like ITC take a long time to recoup the investment on, as do some others. All the people who bought land ahead of the reductions in land cost will want their money back, and have a justification to ask for it if projects like Spy Satellite are refunded. I even spent hundreds of millions myself on it, and while it is disheartening to see that money be blown up, it is a decision I made and one that should be dealt with. The meta of the game changes constantly, which is probably what it needs to stay somewhat balanced overall. Project slots should be a difficult choice for nations to make. It would encourage diversification in playing styles. I do not really like the bonus project suggestion, but most of the other tweaks here are okay enough I would think. The real thing in the meta is that aircraft do not have a viable counter from another unit directly, whereas aircraft themselves can hurt other units. Until that is addressed somehow, there is not much overall that will change.
  22. Messaging does maybe need a touch-up or two I agree, but there might be some other items to tweak first. Nah; TKR is based and orangepilled, and doesn't require Discord at all. Just ignore that they might require something else...
