    Oh the irony

I'm all about the irony I guess.  I mean, I'm not exactly shaking over here.  It seems a little bit of a backwards plan to me is all and a little bit on the cowardly side.  Why not simply agree to peace, build up, then go in on us in a few weeks.  We've heard all about the vaulted fortunes of SA, so I'd imagine that would have been an easy thing to do.  TEst has always been out there and we don't typically hide our intentions other than standard OpSec type stuff.  Assuming the work around to reset it to 14 days is true and @Alex doesn't fix this loophole, then I guess we'll have to check back in with the SA folks every 10 days and see what happens.

  2. It is kinda sad that this is what it came to.  I don't think I've ever met a sadder group of sore losers in this game (and man, there are some angry people here when it comes to burning pixels).  Going into VM to, at some point in the future to hopefully attack us when we're weakened or caught off guard by an enemy we can't effectively track (yes, there are ways, I know).  I mean, good game on this I guess.  Coulda all been over a while ago and we'd have had no hard feelings about it.  My only hope at this point is that you do come out of VM, rejoin the game and then we can see if you all have the strength to muster an actual fight.  My guess is that you won't based upon past boasts and follow through, but who knows.

Sorry bud, I wasn't critizing anything besides this thread and mostly the title. I wasn't assuming anything and as one of the few to speak to both sides of this, I have been pushing for some kind of resolution. This is as close to a fair war in the last few years as it gets. I just didn't approve of the calling them down cause they were out numbered, and caught by surprise. Any surprise they want to duck out? They can't even fight back.not everyone enjoys ZI or is prepared to get there before they can't fight anymore. Feels like kicking the kid on the ground and teasing him for not being able to get up

The playful slander is a tactic used by cowards and others here on orbis. Just trying to hold you to the level of greatness I know you have and have shown me personally before. Just keep being awesome

Word up home slice. Like I've said, just disappointed in their rhetoric vs reality.

i think it's in poor taste to post things like this, poking fun at long-time members who may be permanently leaving a game. if 3 gets you all hot and bothered wait for a few days when it's all 13 of us.

but if it makes you feel better about yourself, feel free to continue your griefing. tho, it was only some spies and a few thousand tanks, not that big a deal at all man. no need to get so worked up.

I'll poke a little, mostly because the whole point of this thread was that there was going to be mutually assured destruction...

It's not this war they are upset about.

It's you going after them over and over, and then hitting them right after they got jumped by even more than what you threw.

Ah yes, grand delusions rear their ugly head once again.  Hitting them over and over would be an attack them once, then let them rebuild and then do it again and again for lulz (ie: GPA style).  That's hardly the case here.  One hit in several years is hardly the case.  If we're going down that road then all of orbis is out to get one another......

16 hours ago, James II said:

During your presence you haven't gone more than a year between hits. You hit us when arrgh hit us. Then again in papers please. Then you quit. Now that you've come back, you haven't gone that long before having to hit Alpha people again. You were in the alliance with these people, don't pretend you didn't know who they were.

EDIT: Nevermind the fact you hit an alliance that had just been dogpiled.

Citation needed. If the statement is that we're going specifically after Alpha people, I had no idea who anyone was in SA.  I assumed they were simply a bunch of pixel huggers who manipulated the markets.  That aside, if we're putting all alliances that have ever taken former Alpha members in off limits, then we all might as well as go the way of SA and go into VM as there wouldn't be any point to playing. Oh well, so sad that you have to make this about you rather than the fact that SA isn't holding up their end of the bargin here. We were promised destruction and SA has failed to deliver.  0/7 for my rating.

Faith restored. Doesn't that feel good?

I mean, we offered peace for the conclusion of round 1 (ie: a one and done war).  It was thrown back in our face with a "if you don't peace now we'll rain destruction down on you for 8 or more rounds" (I believe i paraphrased but it's pretty close).  So far only sunshine here.  I like how the immediate conclusion of a lot of people here is that we're slinging mud when we have been nothing but cordial (at least until we had to respond to amusing threats).  Guess it shows again people not investigating the whole of a situation and simply believing what they want rather than what the facts actually are.  We didn't even ask them to change their flag or humiliate themselves.  Just a handshake of "ok, we're done, good war".

If you want to brag about how 23 nations in TEst left so many of our spies left that we could eliminate the bottom half of your alliances spy capability, be my guest Bambino. We had abandoned the spy project several days ago, so congrats on winning the battle due to "DNP".

Truth be told, AIM offered absolutely no help and chose to peace out before their allies and non-allies they got rolled were off the battlefield, which would've been necessary long-term.  This was just a short term operation that we ultimately abandoned due to reasons that will be public in a few days. We still wonder if you got outside help because we knew there is no way you could've taken out our 60 spy guys with what you had left.  Even so, it's pretty embarrassing for you that we still can keep your leader Prefontaine at 0 spies and having taken 3000-5000 tanks from him or so (iirc). That's not going to matter, but it's hilarious. And has confirmed TEst is a joke of an alliance who uses paperless for cowardice and doesn't defend allies when facing odds they don't like or flips sides like a dying fish.

Off topic, but for the record, TEst's cowardice is not the same the last NB-war.  TKR had every reason to attack and there was very much aggression from NB towards them. It's not any secret tbh. The people that hit us also ran into thousands of nukes. That's a bit different than hitting 13 nations that only had 200 nukes. And on a side-note, I'm confused with all the TKR hate from Fark when they are tied closely to TKR now, having an direct ally, TRF even fighting a war with TKR.

Off topic part 2, nukes don't matter. Spanish Armada was making $4.4b in cash each month and about $3b in resource generation.i Meaning about $7.4b a month @ 350 GDP. For just 13 nations. That means an alliance like TKR was making $25-30b a month or more even. Plus nukes are so neutered that unless you declare offensive wars everyone hits you with non-attrition wars, which is wise, but still makes them near-worthless given we all have warchests to rebuild all our infra and then some. If SA can be hit twice in 3 months and still have more than enough to rebuy all our infra, this game is fricking broken.

Finally on-topic part WoT, it wouldn't be too hard to keep declaring up and dragging down 23v13, but none of us really care about this game anymore so we've opted for doing something on our terms in the future. Because have decently sized nations already, so time is not our enemy.

I'll be the first to admit that TEst screwed the pooch on the spy war at the front.  But, given that you had the advantage (as you rightly declared) with having so many spies, you should have pressed that one front of the war you hadn't lost and brought down a bunch of hurt on tanks.  My guess is you actually couldn't muster enough activity to do so, despite your alliance's repeated claims to the contrary.  I look forward to hearing the reasons for everything abandoning the effort, mostly because it will likely you all blaming other people for your failures.

Suppose all you want about us bringing in people, but It literally took 2 people to eliminate what remained of your spies.  We don't have to bring in outside resources to do our dirty work.  The fact you had to rely on AIM for your spy ops says more about you than it does about us.  All I know is that I came back from real vacation (indeed before my nation had even gotten out of VM), organized what remained of our spy forces and within the course of 2 days, we had essentially disabled what remained of your spy network.  The only two holdouts were Brasilia and yourself, which was entirely because both of you had such low scores that no one could reach down to you, even with decomming large portions of their military.  As soon as I came out of VM on Tuesday, I corrected that problem by whacking you two for 14 and 16 spies respectively.  Another member of TEst then whacked you (Kingdom) for an additional 21 spies a short time later and then we finished off Brasilia a day later (or maybe it was a few hours, I'm honestly too bored to go back and look).

Regarding you taking out one member in particular (Pre), well, congratulations.  It doesn't actually take a lot of skill to disable one person in this game.  You can do it both militarily and by spying with ease.  Congratulations, you can muster sufficient activity to do a total of 4-6 spy attacks.  I'm sure that's what sent 2 of your members fleeing to VM.

I can't speak to your first off topic remark because, well, to me it sounds like rambling.  However, regarding the economic stuff, I'm pretty sure that TEst generates roughly the same on a per capita basis as you all.  I did a rough, back of the envelope calculation based on my nation (one of our small nations) and we're averaging 7B/month.  I couldn't tell you resource wise what we do, but that's more because we don't actually run taxes over here and, well, I'm too lazy to go around surveying 23 people.  Suffice it to say, your 4.4B in cash is ENTIRELY AVERAGE.  I'd even go so far as to say it is BELOW average given the number of whales you had at stupid levels of infra.  The fact that you have to brag about your economic success, something that requires exceptionally low skill, again says more about your alliance than ours.  It's too bad that MENSA went the way of the dinosaur.  They would have been mowing the lawn (as they liked to call it) over and over with you guys.  I get the economics portion of the game, but man, it's a sad day when your claim to fame is "HEY GUYS, WE CAN GET ROLLED OVER AND OVER AND HAVE TONS OF CASH TO REBUILD WITH!".

Fair enough on "biding your time".  Given that we've offered peace and it's been turned down multiple times with the threat of "burning TEst to the ground", we don't really care.  2 of your people went into VM already and likely more will soon.

11 hours ago, R Johnson said:

Yes and you were also in VM until a few days ago.

What is the phrase? Kettle meet pot?

Not really.  If I had gone into VM to AVOID a war (like 2 of your members) rather than actually going on VM because I was, ya know, on vacation, then the phrase would be apt. But I'm guessing you're too busy gnashing your teeth to think clearly about that.  Then again, what do I know.  I'm the clearly the pixel hugger in this conversation.

I mean, I did say if they manage their MAPs properly, but to get to the meat of your post - you made a comment about players sitting on 12 MAPs, therefore wasting any future MAPs since you're capped.

While I can understand that perspective, some players (Like myself) sit on 12 MAPs to wait on double buying.  At some point, you'll be zeroed out or overwhelmed by multiple players, so you wait patiently with your MAPs to use them at a certain time (When your opponents aren't around to counter effectively) or when you can dump resources to pump your military up, then go ham.

SA could do some serious damage, but then again, it all matters whether they really care about this game or not.  Given that they were rather relaxed on activity and that they've been through a unnecessary dogpile previously (I think you guys can relate), I wouldn't blame them for not being on top of their game in this conflict.  Plus it's summer, people got stuff to do.

I would spill out more stuff about the current war mechanics, but I'd rather wait till current conflicts are over with.  Would hate to spoil some things.  So that'll either be for a future post or a future talking point when I start up a "radio show".

Totally get what you're saying and it wasn't meant as a critique.  I guess I'm just looking at it and they're not doing what they said they were going to do and their activity (as far as I can tell) is just as bad as it was prior to the start.  I can't check their discord server because the link in the game is broken, so I honestly can't tell if they hang out online somewhere plotting our demise.  I think that they could do some serious damage, but that would require a concerted effort and activity level so far not seen on their part.  Ah well, whatcha gonna do?  Guess all I can say is good luck to them.

Keep in mind that even if they're out of Nukes, they can still build one during that day and it cannot be touched from Spies.  So if they manage their MAPs properly, they can pull a nuke off each day.

Or double buy military and hit conventionally, whichever is more useful at the time.

Buorhann, that assumes that they know how to manage their MAPs.  For people that claim they're going to rain down destruction on anyone that attacks, they do a pretty poor job at making sure that they can actually open the skies.  Granted, I was in VM due to being out of country and on vacation for a significant chunk of the time, but I recall reading a significant number of instances where some of our members couldn't believe that their opponent had reached 12 maps and sat there for half a day or more before logging in to launch a nuke.  Once I can understand.  I've been there, done that.  But to have an entire alliance doing that multiple times over the course of a couple of days, that reeks of incompetence.

Basically all I've seen in this thread is SA attempting to save face by declaring a bunch of wars that they ended up getting crushed on to launch a couple of nukes where they end up doing significantly less damage taking.  After having what remained of their nukes spied away, they start ranting about how TEst has something against Alpha, which is just a deflection away from how badly they've managed their war effort.

To the spying effort, I'd like to happily report that all of SA's spies have been effectively neutered.  Based upon the latest intel we've recieved, here's a list of their spies that they have.  Keep in mind, some of the numbers may be high or a little off, but are accurate enough for coordination and general viewing reasons.

    image.png.06c571dd181ebd73b1b18b2e1061a6dd.png

Additionally, for all of their vaulted accolades of killing half of TEst's spies, let's keep in mind that a lot of SA's people were so low on score that no one was able to actually offensively attack their spies unless they are in a war with them, which has been impossible for the past few days as ALL of SA is on beige.  But don't worry, now that we've effectively killed their spies, we'll make sure to rebuild our lower tier's spy ranks to ensure we can keep sitting on them from a spy perspective too.

Edit: We should note that a second person has gone into VM in SA to continue the amazing amount of destruction that is being rained down upon us.  RIP Loxy.

I get your jealousy man. Everyone talks about us, and no one talks about you. I’ve done all there is to do in these games and you’re just done. Your obsession with us is starting to get a little worrisome. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered you can’t keep my name or TEsts name out of your mouth, but I don’t feel those stalkers obsessed love like feelings you feel towards me mate. I’m sorry to have to break your heart in such a public setting.

Your obsession for us concerns us deeply. We want the best for you. But we also need to care for us. And caring for us means winning this world. Which we already did. Because we're great. I love us. You love us. Everyone loves us.

  10. In another bold move, Spanish Armada has begun preliminary testing of their newly developed secret weapon.  Sources report that the weapon, code named the "Pixel Preserver" was deployed to their most endangered front in the nation of Grataz (https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=33623).  Based upon early indications, this new, formidable defensive weapon generates a stasis shield around the nation effectively creating a pocket universe upon which no attacks can be initiated or launched.  Early scientific analysis by Khaos's top minds indicates that the field will last at least 720 turns and may be extended if Grataz was capable of bringing in enough raw fuel to power the weapon for additional periods.

Sources close to the Spanish Armada military high command confidentially disclosed the reason the weapon was rushed into the field was to save Grataz another humiliating round of defeats from Khaos military divisions that were rapidly surrounding the beleaguered nation.  Reportedly, Khaos front line forces included those from the nations of Vagary, Chaos, and Tarantis.  Additionally, reports of rampant sabotage at military installations were beginning to take their toll on the morale of Grataz military personnel.

It remains to be seen as to whether other SA nations will deploy the weapon or attempt to resist using their previously stated goal of going "10 rounds if the forces of Khaos go for more than 1".  With their vaulted nuclear capacities depleted, it appears that much of SA may have little choice other than to white peace as offered or risk continued humiliation at the hands of Khaos.
