  1. What can I say? I have a lovely Sugar momma. Also note that it was well before I was able to join Grumpy and makes no difference between my ability to afford the entrance fee =).
  2. Random nobody's two cents (or three). Surprised to see comments about the joining fee. Any nation that would be able to join Grumpy can afford that by grabbing the loose change from the sofa. I say that as the smallest nation here too, pretty sure no one who realistically wants to and has a chance of joining Grumpy would be turned off by that. Beats the hell out of nonstop taxes. Also surprised to see Seeker of all people commenting on leaving VE and working together, seems a bit ironic given the 'The Viridian Entente' mess you had a giant hand in which ultimately killed off any VE in this game besides you fakes with a new paint job (it's ugly btw). And finally to stay on topic : Go Grumpy and let's keep giving SRD more warstats to brag about! They may drag us down eventually but pretty sure we'll kick their ass all the way. I feel like I should say something cheesy here.... For everyone you take down, we'll take down 10 with us! Seems cheesy enough ?
  3. The fact that Samwise doesn't have a mile long lead is just silly, a $hitty 'TKR sucks' gets almost as many votes? Come on, guys. Vote for quality!
  4. All I gather from this is that Zed certainly doesn't wear the pants in the t$ family and Jess probably drank hers off. We might be doomed.
  5. So this was to supposedly fix market prices, and there are two routes to follow. Take away your players income, which you should of known they would hate and rebel against, or add something new to the game that players want and need to spend resources on. Guess you went with the easy quick solution, eh? Don't be surprised when more people start running from your game in that case.
  6. Rarely do I agree with SRD, but now I do. Correct way to say just sounds wrong to me. I'll say it correctly in public, but in my head and my heart, it always has 3 syllables.
  7. The one and only. It's been awhile, how you doin?
  8. These events are absolutely disgusting and it deeply saddens me to see any version of VE fall so far, especially when it seems to be 2 of them. Moonpie, Olorin, Seeker, come on guys. If even the Menace of VE me says you guys need to get your act together, then somethings wrong. I can't believe you guys made me come back to this game just to tell you guys how much you all suck, sheesh. Also Impero, you can screw right off too, I know you well enough to seriously wonder how much you instigated this crap.
  9. National Project Name : Grand Stadiums Small Description : This project will bring your stadiums to the modern century. Outfitted with big screens, massive stands, and even more parking. Project Effect : Increases the commerce produced by Stadiums by 7% (18% to 25%). Operation costs increased to $1150 per turn (up from $1013) Cost : $10-$15mil, 1k steel, 1k aluminum Reasoning : This project would allow you to reduce slot usage. At both current 100% and 115% setups, you would be able to drop 2 banks, while still suffering from an increased operation cost so that it's not completely free slots. National Project Name : [i couldn't think of a name for this. Something something Land Seizures] Small Description : The Federal Government needs more room to expand! Project Effect : Decreases the cost of buying land by 10% Cost : $30mil, 1k aluminum, 1k gas Reasoning : Land is expensive, yo! But land also lasts forever and cannot be destroyed or looted in battle. This could potentially encourage people to buy more land early on, which would also increase their food haul. While I don't consider this project a necessary addition anytime soon, I do think it'd be worth the project slot eventually. Better early then later. National Project Name : Satellite Weapons System Small Description : Hide yo wives, hide yo daughters, hide yo husbands, and hide yo nukes... in space! Project Effect : Allows you to hide 2 nuclear weapons in satellite weapon systems in space where enemy spies cannot get to them. Increases nuclear upkeep by $15,000 ($52,500 up to $67,500) when at war Cost : $60mil, 2k steel, 2k munitions Reasoning : Nukes are expensive, losing them to spy attacks can suck. Add a way to make it so that if you only have 2 nuclear missiles left, spies can't reach them. Increases the cost to maintain nukes when at war as the price for keeping them safely hidden away. I do think the upkeep cost could be increased even more, but was unsure where a good level was.
  10. Realistically though, that makes sense. Propaganda shouldn't always have to have a clear source of who it's from. However, I would say that making the information available in spy ops wouldn't be a bad idea. If someone gathered general intelligence on me, it could also display links to any ads that the nation may be running currently. Also, the annoyance factor really exists with or without the ability. This is the internet, random trolls exist and will find and use this feature to annoy other alliances, people, or things in general. Some people don't care about pixels and would happily sit at a lower range just so they can troll away. I don't agree with the thought process, but I've spent too many years dealing with these people not to recognize they exist, lol
  11. Ads? Not annoying. Ads at the top creating new boxes and pushing things away from their 'normal' spot? Very annoying. No Ability to turn off Ads? Not that annoying* Price? Not that annoying, though I'd prefer a straight cash option. No Cash & Donations or just Donations. Just Cash. Suggestions : Allow ability for Ad Buyer to hide their identity at extra cost. It doesn't work great for all types of propaganda if it lists a name. What if I wanted to create an ad just for Alliance A, but claim it was from Alliance B, when I'm actually in Alliance C. If these Ads are intended to add fun and intrigue, more anonymous ad making would go a long way. Ads on the side. Been suggested by multiple people, but honestly that is my chief complaint. The current box that gets added 20% of the time honestly just annoys me, I'm more likely to refresh the page than care what it says. *- If people want to turn off Ads, they can ad block them. While yes it may count against the total view count, these types of ads aren't something that should be able to be blocked by the game itself. Perhaps even remove a view count limit to begin with. What's to stop someone from automatically refreshing the page constantly so ads are viewed more. Also, perhaps you can find a way to tie the ads into the background better so that if people try to block the ad it ends up blocking way more. Several sites I visit often have ads similar to that, when you try to block them half the page disappears.
  12. Long term VE member, both in (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) and here and Impero's right on everything. VE Gov is really tight lipped about this kind of stuff and I honestly laugh at the thought of VE having information leaked out. If our active regular members don't know squat, I seriously doubt some punk in another alliance has any, lol.
  13. Thank you much for leaving this available. While I appreciate you changing the theme to fix issues and make it better, I like the older one better (and never had issues). Too often web designers just update skin and leave you no choice but to accept it, so this is very much appreciated.
  14. "Vacation Mode is not a tool to use to avoid wars, and it is not a "peace mode"." The problem with this is that in the current setup, it's very easy to use it as a tool for precisely that. Look at Cybernations for a classic example of how wars in this game will probably happen a fair portion. 1 alliance or group of alliances plans to attack another, their enemies get wind of it. They find out their players who are not qualified or ready for war, and send them into "peace mode". The one difference in this game is that instead of "Shit collections", you just don't collect anything. This isn't really a 'punishment', it's just a temporary hold on their nation so they can avoid all the damages of war. The current situation is way more than this one case of a person supposedly leaving on vacation with wars going on (yet still has time to defend himself on forums and first thing he said was crying about avoiding Mr 11 and 12). They can still do damage to him and he can't fight back. Not as good as it could of been, as alliance wars DON'T last just one round, but it's a reasonable alternative. However, that's just one of many times and ways that this could and will be abused. This would be another example. No wars going on, has left Guardians, and gone into vacation mode. While true, he could really be on vacation, it's too easy to assume that he used vacation mode to avoid wars.
  15. What happened (describe thoroughly please): My airstrikes show as dealing damage to both infrastructure and tanks, but they aren't recorded in the war timeline loses or the individual nations casualties (how many killed/lost). Not entirely sure they are even doing the damage they claim, but will assume so (I didn't notice until after and it was too late to manually verify) Link to page: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=45796 Any other relevant information: I didn't notice this on my other wars, and I haven't noticed it failing to record ship casualties. It's only been for tanks. Screenshot: You can see in this one screenshot that it lists way more tank casualties in the timeline itself than it does in the timeline loses.
