Perhaps keep the inactives, but keep them on beige, and if they log in, it'll start the clock for when they get kicked off?

I was coming on here to suggest this very thing. I've been using this site to calculate when I can buy my next city, but it would be nice if there was something to do it for me.
-
Okay thanks!
-
I have 6 coal mines, 4 coal power plants, and 6 steel mills. If I did the math correctly I should have a slight surplus of coal per day but I'm running a deficit.
-
This is already the case.
Again, correct.
Then either my missiles destroyed themselves or they were spied and I received no spy report. Is this a bug?
-
You can still send spy operation reports to a nation letting them know of the nature of the attacks without divulging who was responsible for the attack. Otherwise how would you know you were spied?I think that's covered in the "safety level". If you choose a lower safety level it's cheaper but the odds that your operation is discovered are higher. Either it's successful and your agents return safely or they're caught and executed.
But no, successful operations must not be reported to the targeted nation.

I never said GPA was solely to blame for the war, and the war isn't the subject I'm really touching on. The point is that there was plenty of ways to go about this, and choosing to DoW pretty much shows that GPA is on a war march and doesn't feel like stopping. If you guys wanted to dabble in a last ditch war post-reset for a bit of amusement/experience and the like, I don't mind or care. But stop trying to make it out like its not what it is.
I'm a classic example of one of those neutrals that actually like to go to war. Neutrality doesn't make me indifferent to the happenings of the world, and it also doesn't make me a pacifist. But what it does mean is that we are politically neutral in your affairs. We agreed to a wargames, and your MDoAP partner countered our attack. Defending ourselves is not a violation of our neutrality. Saying that we have no control over ourselves is the same as calling us a rogue alliance, which we are not. We are not off declaring war against whoever is in range. We agreed to a wargames, we were countered, so we defended.
It is possible, but we were operating under the assumption that the Endless had made their allies aware of our agreement. If we had known their allies weren't notified, then we likely would have stated in the announcement that it was a wargame, if we would've went through with them at all. Not letting your allies know you agreed to go to war with someone seems like a red flag to me.If you wouldn't have posted a declaration of war for something that is not a war, that probably would've helped things a bit.
-
Awesome. I was worried if spies would be added before the reset. One thing though. Can you make it so you get sent a message if somebody spies you so know what was targeted and the outcome of the operation?
-
Clearly it's GPA's fault for posting a DoW when it was in fact just war games, they should've clarified that in the OP. Or you know, just not post anything at all.
If Endless would have notified all their treaty partners prior, it wouldn't have been necessary. It's not our job to go to Endless' treaty partners and tell them that Endless agreed to a wargame with us, and that Endless agreed to no outside involvement since it was a controlled wargame.
-
Misunderstanding's happen all the time, but the fault isn't with GPA for defending themselves. If Endless and GPA agreed to wargames, then Endless should have went to all their treaty partners and let them know that it was a controlled wargame prior to the wargames taking place. That obviously either didn't happen, or TEst decided to come in anyway. Either way, not our fault.

Unfortunately Samwise, the last Dehlia left this world awhile ago. We believe that they are extinct and we are left only with their bastard cousin, whose name escapes me... Maybe Francis II?
That's a filthy lie! Dehlia is being held hostage somewhere and the Gladian armies will find her and roll that fake Dehlia!

GPA declared war on us? With no CB? And no attacks? What is this madness!
You'll know when I declare war on you BD
-
I'm afraid you joined the wrong alliance. For the record you could always sell your infra and join us.
The GPA told me they have Dehlia to get me to join, but I'm sure it's a fake. Do you have the real Dehlia?
Samwise, there's 4 days left. You are more than welcome to sell off infra and come down to our level for war.
I shall consider this! Should Endless' top tier fail to properly liberate me of my infra, I will do what I must.

In order to honour our MDoAP with The Endless, Terminus Est hereby declare war on GPA.
This isn't a real war?! !@#$ no one told me that
My literal reaction:
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
*Samwise goes to look at Terminus Est
((( No one in range. I am disappoint.
When will GPA find it though? Still none of the retaliation that we were promised by Rika.
lol I dunno. When Sheepy changes the war ranges so I can come out and play??
[23:45:35] <Rika-chan> That reminds me, expect a counter-strike at some point soon[23:45:43] <Rika-chan>[23:45:47] <@Prefontaine> Good luck.[23:45:50] <~Malone> yay!Just in case anyone tries to say no retaliation was promised.I understand your excitement! My dissappoint was even moreso when I could not retaliate. But! Perhaps some of the Endless guys can kindly send me to your range!
Right, I forgot that GPA just keeps it's members around to keep their score up and only 4 or 5 of you are actually worth a damn.
Now that was just plain mean and you hurt my feelings.
Also, you guys respond to raiders with force. You usually have at least have one person retaliate. 2 alliances come knocking at your door and you don't care? Shenanigans.
Some people are like me, and like bloodshed.

What were you doing (or trying to do): I was viewing my war via this page: http://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=10005
What happened (describe thoroughly please): I noticed the information on the war screen is incorrect. The wording says that I was nuked, yet I was only missiled.Link to page: http://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=10005
Any other relevant information: I wasn't nuked. Also, it seems the damage totals in that war reflect that I was nuked. My messages however say different.Screenshot:

This is a very welcome update. I've been saying for awhile that because I power my own cities with the uranium I produce, there's not much leftover to sell. This will help immensely.
-
What about our trades we had out prior to this update that took our money/resources? Did we already get those back automatically?

I made a post in the Changelog, which pushed out a notification to everyone in the game
I'm sorry. I meant advanced notice. I happened to make a large investment yesterday thinking my economy was sound, then logged on today scrambling to sell resources to make some cash to accomodate the changes. Had I known I needed to buy more land, I would have planned for it. I do like the changes, but my point is that I was lucky to log in today and rectify my economy before the turn based system fed all my hobbits my food.

Can you give us some kind of notice when you're going to make econ updates like this please?
-
By all means. If I'm the only one I can deal with it. I just thought I'd bring it up since I'm sure I'm not the only one using a phone a lot of the time.Let's get some more opinions on this. On the one hand, it's a nice safety feature but on the other hand makes trading a much more tedious process.
the biggest issue with trading if you want to fix something is that once you accept a trade on the global market, you're only options are to "view nation" or "view trade". you can't go back to where you were on the global market anywhere
I also agree with this. I hate having to go back and enter everything in the search engine again and trying to find where I was.
-
I've accidentally accepted trade offers more than once that I wasn't interested in because I use my phone a lot of the time. Is there any way we can get a prompt that asks if you're sure you want to accept the trade before the transaction takes place?
