Mitsuru only VM's when TKR is on the losing side of a war, it's a pretty easily noticable trend that's been happening for years. It's one thing to do it but then to act defiant and grandstand over it on the forums is a whole other thing haha

Well that does lead to an interesting take on the situation with Cata joining the war for fun and what not. I do like the little added hypothetical out which would have been acceptable only until a time when it was a reality. This is one of those situations where you are damned if you do, damned if you don't. Cata is a sovereign entity and free to do as they wish on their own time. We could e-lawyer this for eons but I reckon most of the people vocally upset in this thread are happy with the decision they stumbled on. Now this here is a sphere has perked my interest. A lot of fine people in these alliances that I have never got a chance to work with directly. Some I've known casually as friends and some have been adversaries for me since some of my earliest days in this game justice for tTO. It's more the inconsistencies in what you preach in the heat of the moment. You want people to post but you only want them to post certain things. If you don't like it you start a crusade that it is toxic or repetative or adds nothing and should therefore stop. We even see some of it in this very own topic.

No inquiries were made to them at all about this, they've been hitting us this entire war starting from the blitz. Not sure how that isnt a valid target to declare a war on at that point. They surely arent our allies here as the rule points out that isn't allowed.

Wow, my sincerest condolensces to all of you at ASM and all of Redarmy's family and friends. I definitely had a few conversations with RedArmy back in my T$ executive days and while on many things back then ASM and T$ didnt see eye to eye on I always appreciated his willingness to talk things out and not just immediately shut down a conversation when things started to get tough. That type of sincerity was a rare trait that always stood out to me and especially with him. I have only every heard good things about him from others and reading that story about the camping trip and just ignoring the BS from the game to have a good time with some friends well that was a great story to tell to encompany what he will be remembered for. 33 is truly too young.

As someone who went through a similar situation quite a few years ago when I was just starting out in this game, the less involved members who are quiet and obedient tend to follow the orders from the government, sometimes even when they come out of nowhere such as a merger. I have a sneaking suspicion that they werent presented the merge as a mere option but more so an order and many probably just went with the flow. I'm sure they will be fine in TKR - it is going to be much more stable from the sounds of their alliance from this post. Whether people would have actually opted for the merge if given the choice, that is a different story.
