  1. Great idea. Would really encourage more growth for individuals/alliances.
  2. Excuse me? Absolutely not, after you joined our alliance, took millions in grants/loans, and left: Looks like you forgot to delete all your messages in our server. Whoops. Expect consequences shortly.
  3. If I attack a organization this nation, please no be attack.
  4. Hold on, we need time to get our soldiers up to city 5 first.
  5. Congrats and good luck. Who knows, we may work together in the future.
  6. I'm completely new to the forums; I don't know what's normal or not. Just decided to make a post about our flag for fun.
  7. 😂 I only wish we had more higher tier nations; it's a long term goal to work towards I guess. Thanks.
  8. 😂 Indeed. Soon to be macro, though 😉. Thanks.
  9. Say what you want, that's your opinion. Personally, I value the symbolism of the flag over the actual image itself.
  10. It is with great pride that I present the updated flag of the Soldiers of Liberty: Red- represents courage and sacrifice White- represents our desire for peace Blue- represents power The Shield- represents that we will protect our members and allies The Pike- as one of the most effective weapons of its time, represents our military power The Torch- represents Liberty The 13 Stars- represent the original colonies of the United States, which fought for Liberty and Freedom The Big Star- represents the SoL alliance itself The Five Surrounding Stars- represent; 1. Liberty 2. Courage 3. Morality 4. Integrity 5. Loyalty Si vis pacem, para bellum- If you want peace, prepare for war.
  11. Just some practical advice, take it however you want: 1. Know what you're getting into before merging. It's called "merging" for a reason 😉. 2. Don't make bargains when you can't hold up your end. 3. Try not to mislead people. They can usually tell when you're twisting the truth. Have a lovely day/night.
  12. Exactly. According to ice core samples (admittedly, only accurate to a certain degree), the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was 3x what is is now. There are so many different factors that come into play when it comes to the earth's climate; and we can't really predict exactly what's going to happen over the next few years, never mind the next few days! As a matter of fact, in the 1970s, everyone thought we were plunging into a modern ice age due to a relative drop in global temperature. Best thing to do is just try to understand things to a certain extent, and do what's reasonable. If sustainable energy (wind, solar, geothermal, etc.) becomes economically and physically viable in the future, I'm all for it. Right now though, I'm completely fine with burning fossil fuels for energy. In fact, fossil fuels are actually "renewable" in a sense; the CO2 that is released into the atmosphere is absorbed by plants, which in turn grow and release oxygen for us to breathe. Plants also are food for natural organisms, who then die. The remains of those organisms become fossil fuels over time (with heat and pressure) and are then burned again, releasing more CO2.
  13. I have an unpopular opinion (supported by facts) on this issue. Climate change is definitely real, but I don't think humans have much of an effect on it.
  14. Thanks for the welcome. Neat! I took a singular comp sci course last term and really liked it. I wish I had time to learn a bit more about it; it is very interesting and applicable in this day and age. Also I'm currently taking vector calculus, which has many uses in engineering; it's really very enlightening to learn how to apply mathematical equations to real life situations.
