  1. Someone please send help. He’s got all of Paradise in his basement on hamster wheels so he can mine PnW crypto. We’ve not seen our families in months. He only feeds us flamin hot Cheetos and diet mountain dew. Kev has scurvy and I think Lefty’s turned righty. Save us!
  2. Kan is the multi. Who then is the true puppet master? The mystery deepens.
  3. Honestly, pleasantly surprised by the response. I hope that the NAP signing wasn't primarily a PR move since I, personally, am in favor of the terms, but can't speak for the people that actually signed it. And, in a weird turn, I understand why you all entered. This war discussion has been weirdly candid. There's something freeing about being rolled, I suppose.
  4. Annual reminder that this exists:
  5. Oh I don't disagree. We had a very small window for action (TKR was losing military fast so the window for an impactful intervention was shrinking) and we took the action that, in that moment, appeared the best for our interests. We knew with 98% certainty y'all would join the fray, you're right. Where we differ mainly, I guess, is that an Oreo hit on Wayward would be bad for your PR? No offense, but when has either Rose or Eclipse cared for their image? And even if you did, who would make you pay for it? It would be very easy for you to force another NAP as you did with GGO, and then you've only got a weakened TKRsphere and Midgard as potential adversaries? Seems like any "backlash" would be worth that positioning especially when no one can do anything about it.
  6. Kev covered it generally but, as you said, Oreo knew a coalition would form against it, it's just a matter of who. They know likely whoever it is will try and get HOGG on board so you're looking at a January time table. Oreo is by far the biggest sphere and was able to force a nap on one bloc already so, it would be totally reasonable to think they'd want to remove at least one more piece from the board in the time before the NAP ends, maybe even forcing a NAP to be even more sure of their position. TKR being taken off the table by Midgard means Oreo could either ignore Wayward and face the possibility that we try and build a coalition, or just take us off the table as well so that no 2 parties are in a position to hit you all come January. If Oreo wasn't thinking this, it's a little puzzling because it's clearly the right play to secure your bloc for the foreseeable future. Entering this particular war was not anywhere near optimal, but it's the choice we were presented with and we'll never know if sitting out would've been better.
  7. TIL if bold and italicize a statement, you don't need to prove it's veracity. I have the biggest e-penis in all of Orbis. The rest of that statement is a lot of gibberish. The one take away from it is t$ substituted its obsession with Grumpy for an obsession with TKR. You know Cata didn't defend TKR because they luuvvvvvv them, they did it because it was the best option for survival in the face of an Oreo threat.
  8. You are absolutely right that alliances may act in a manner that they see fit. t$ isn't going to be deleted from the game for this move. They may become a pariah or they may suffer very little due to now being seen positively by the two largest spheres in the game (that are currently working together). However, we do have norms and M-level treaties have always been CB blind. You don't need a treaty to enter a war in defense of anyone, but if you do so, you risk activating that alliance's M-level treaties. If M-level treaties are optional, they shouldn't exist. What Cata did and what Eclipse did are exactly the same. That's not the argument.
  9. It's pretty cut and dry though. There isn't much to e-lawyer. Eclipse hit Cata aggressively and not due to the activation of a defensive treaty. Whether Eclipse did it as a reaction to Cata hitting Midgard or some other reason, MDPs are not CB dependent. They cover this exact situation and are generally blind to the reason for war. I was too. I was actively pushing for it from the start of my time at Paradise and boy oh boy did I !@#$ up.
  10. Sure, if Eclipse has a treaty with Midgard and t$ knows about it, but we don't, we have much bigger issues.
  11. PSA - if you enter into a treaty with t$ and are hit by another alliance, they won't defend you. Note: Obviously, if Eclipse had been tied to any parties hit, we'd not hold t$ to anything.
  12. just madly in love with y'all being so predictable bby *smooches*
  13. The point is moot now that, as predicted, oreo has joined for you all.
  14. Good news, Oreo hit us. Looks like we get rolled together now.
  15. Tell me you don't understand the game without telling me you don't understand the game.
  16. well, when Oreo joins in, it definitely won't be, but right now you're right, it's still pretty heftily in your favor you're red:
  17. somebody's easy win sense is tingling...
  18. Allow me to play devil’s advocate and respond on their behalf, ehem: copium so much salt neckbeard noises seethe* *The silence between words is Rose’s response.
  19. Y'all can't be serious. GGO has less than 100 members. You're currently beating them in a war without using the full size of your sphere. What the !@#$ are you smoking? It's like y'all saw that t$ admitted it's paranoia around GG and you took that as an invitation to dive in and show them what real paranoia looks like.
