Hi I’m just wondering if there is an “optimal” build for 2000 infra as whenever I look at the average income per city graph then compare it to mine I cry inside.

Take out loans and buy more cities. Builds do not matter so much as there are tons of projects that can increase your income substantially. For example, you can go from 100% commerce, to 115% to 125% making commerce far more rewarding. I am 35 cities and these days primarily produce food, however once upon a time I produced gasoline, back in 2015 I bought the lucrative (and these days very affordable) Emergency Gasoline Reserve which was my bread and butter for years upon years. You want to min-max your nation to produce the maximum you can (using projects), get rid of useless upkeep etc. For example reducing pollution is useless; all you need is to have 0% disease, Recycle Center upkeep is 2.5x higher than Hospital. You can also increase your income by building the same improvement multiple times: Bonus Production for having 5 Uranium Mines: 50%

My current build is primarily food based, there are many advantages to this as I have all the projects built, I also don't need many hospitals/recycle centers because not much pollution from farms. So I have more improvement slots for other buildings/farms. Unfortunately you need around 2600~ infrastructure for a good food build and investments into land to make it profitable. Food additionally is hurt by radiation and winter so your income is very inconsistent and varies greatly.

All said I recommend to focus on building cities as they increase your income the most steadily; so focus on acquiring the projects Advanced Urban Planning, and after city 21 possibly get Metropolitan Planning. Get other projects that are more build focused down the line. Anyways just my thoughts on how to optimize your nation.. it has been a while since I was a c20 though. Good luck!

Edit: Just gonna add this quick little edit in here, this is assuming you want to peacefully build up. If you lose your infra in a war it can be profitable to not rebuild and instead raid other nations. The less cities you have the more targets you have, and many more are inactive, with allies less able to counter you (sometimes). So this can be very profitable as well; up to you anyways just thought I'd add this as I have seen many nations build themselves up through raiding.

I guess with Immortals constant fixation on us, their war is the first thing to come to mind when I see a thread about them. Especially with the gambling theme and them betting on attacking us paying off in the long term. But guess we'll see what happens. They're betting we fold if they harass our members long enough, I'm betting they give up eventually. I suppose what Immortals are doing shouldn't form my view on the entire bloc.

The pot calling the kettle black.

  3. Land has almost no impact on the game at all and is just a large investment for food producing nations. "Capturing Land" would just make wars more punishing and expensive. Really all your proposals are just to stunt growth or weaken older players who have literally spent years building their nations; why should some 6 month old scrub be able to equally compete? Newer players have many tools to build up their cities at the fastest rate I have ever seen, they can use them rather than the game being more tedious for others.

If capturing land or land decay are implemented then I just don't buy land anymore other than what is most efficient, if infrastructure is far to expensive to replace I don't fight wars or I don't buy too much infra. Less money, less reason to check on growth, even slower game.

If a solution to peoples slow growth is to make projects cheaper then that is fine with me, imho projects pricing are all over the place. ie. Gas Reserve

I honestly have not read a single thing he has said, that is how completely uninteresting the 1000 rants he has made in every single thread the past few days. Something really ruffled his feathers big time.

As someone who watched from afar, The Media was an exciting thing to watch and always had my attention for sake of the names I knew in that alliance. Its culture was what mattered in that moment and they held a degree of influence by virtue of attention they held. What informed their motivations is entirely lost on me as I've admittedly not pursued the "why" to any measure.

The Media was all about a last huzzah and having fun raiding and doing stupid shit. Anyone was allowed to join so long as they participated in our raids. Even tho there were some discussions eventually of becoming a permanent alliance, initially it was always supposed to be temporary (which is why I left when people joined DB). I think for the most part it was a success. It was fun to have guys from all over Orbis and fight with them and try to gaslight RON together.

  6. I am surprised I have to say this but no one cares about Brotherhood Family or Black Skies drama. Both your alliances are laughably pathetic and useless and other than these boring distractions offer literally nothing to the game besides being easy war targets. Maybe try to focus on your trash, unstable, weak-as-shit hodgepodge groups of nations you call 'alliances'.

Or don't. I can always use more raid targets after the next war.

  7. 6 month NAP is absolute garbage from both Eclipse and TKR, however I have to agree I think just naming wars in peace deal is better than just "Global War ##". You would think to do a simple poll on the forums to name a damn war or something was simple but I guess that is too complicated for the admins to handle.

  9. The Media these days is villainized for absolutely no reason and this extreme rhetoric against us is actually quite dangerous. Criticism is one thing, but WTF's attacks on the press could encourage people to do crazy things in relation to news organizations and individual reporters. While the World Task Force is certainly entitled to their opinion on how journalists do their jobs, there are times when that can cross the line.

Translation: Hey so I am whining that I lost my fake job in a totally fictional video game but I'm trying to play it cool so I am going to post my goodbye thread in Orbis Central and not in Alliance Affairs like those other demon lords but also not going to post it in the goodbye thread subforum.
