  1. Bad Company joining us like:
  2. We drink to our youth, to days come and gone, For the age of aggression is just about done. We'll drive back the sea raiders and restore what we own, With our blood and our steel, we'll take back our home. Down with the Nordics, who raid everything, On the day of your deaths we'll drink and we'll sing. We're the children of Orbis, and we fight all our lives, And when Vacation Mode beckons, every one of us dies! But this land is ours and we'll see it wiped clean. Of the scourge that has sullied our hopes and our dreams!
  3. For a moment there I thought that this was going to be a pirate alliance.
  4. It's finally settling in – the fact that this game is getting increasingly more boring and uneventful as the same debates are thrown around and the last major war we had was six months ago.

Unfortunately the last world war ended not 6 but over 7 months ago, Anneal. :(

      Yeah around that time

  5. Let's just focus on all the downvotes OP is getting right now and that OP edit.
  6. Honoring a three year tradition. Hoping we can do this again for #NukeAbbas2019
  7. > paying $5 for a credit instead of using in-game money > paying for P&W
  8. The Cutie Mark Crusaders wish you a merry Christmas.
  9. My only regret for this year is Alex/Sheepy switching to some weird avatar, I thought the Boo avatar was better.
  10. It is legitimate voting, but it’s not a well liked strategy, at least on the OWF. First of all, the nominations didn’t allow you to self-vote while this enabled you to, which was silly; either get people to post on the topic and have people count votes that way. That being said, in real life the majority of voters are ignorant anyways, and often cast votes based on incomplete or biased information. Not surprisingly, IQ members may have voted for IQ simply because they’re the only alliances/members they know well enough of.
  11. The issue isn't micros, but how the overwhelming majority of them are run. An alliance isn't something anyone can do, and one of the many things you need as an alliance leader is experience. One reason why most micros fail is a lack of experience from its high gov or leader. It's far wiser to just join one of the major alliances for experience for several months, watch and learn from their alliance gov, and if you work hard, you might even become a gov member yourself. Then perhaps you can get some friends to make your own micro. It's not too different from running a startup company; it's just smarter to stay as some bigger company for a few years before making your own. As far as I know, Queen M and durmij have both served as gov members in TKR and Rose respectively, which is why SGM was able to pass the early hurdles of starting a micro. However, no one in KoS has sufficient experience in running an alliance for themselves. I should mention that the majority of them were Esquire Templar dropouts or left ET themselves because they couldn't meet passing requirements or for some other reason. Josh was banned for attempting to poach, and Blake was apparently removed by AO. As far as I can see, KoS doesn't offer up anything unique as a micro, their IA and Econ are already a mess, with several of their nations not even building correctly (even their gov, excluding the people who weren't raided) and not on the same alliance color. Would you expect this kind of micro to succeed? All of them are low tier as well, so capital is an issue. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
  12. > when a micro thinks it’s relevant enough to post a “declaration of war” on the OWF. Or crusade, whatever you want to call it.
  13. Senry does what he does best, being a Persona weeb.
  14. If something doesn't go your way, blame the mods and hate on Sheepy. If something does go your way, blame the mods and hate on Sheepy anyways.

      Dobby the Free Elf

blame sheepy for thalmor's existence? he shoulda used a condom.

  15. A part of me is still baffled how Sval is somehow "funnier" than Zeebrus on the other topic. What a god damn shame. Zeebrus should deserve far more votes then she has right now.
  16. Alright, so not rigging, getting everyone in your alliance to self-vote or vote for a particular person. We all know the awards are a sort of popularity contest and all but come on.
  17. This is why it's really silly how you can't self-vote for the nominations but the polls for this one allow anyone to do so, which easily allows a certain group to rig the votes.
  18. The IQ people just rolled in. Them votes though.
  19. "Can't you just play Starcraft 2 or something? Running NPO sounds like a really slow RTS game."
  20. This was secretly my plan so that I will become head of FA as Keegoz gets promoted in Apo’s absence.
  21. That's like saying if everyone is beating up a little kid, it's okay for you to do the same thing because everyone else is. Either way, as Roq said, it's not relevant; I don't think any of the current gov lineup was even in KT at the time save for one. You're just making an argument out of a very small detail in my response.
  22. Not going to point fingers at anyone but it’s really hard to say that we’re “adverse to conflict” when no major conflict has presented itself in the last five months. People are acting like the burden is on us to start something up. We’ve handled certain issues like how other alliances would normally handle it, and we have participated in conflicts, however minor (such as the recent counter on Oblivion). Also, there are lesser reasons for Thalmor’s resignation as KT’s leader – it partially has to do with some real life issues but I rather not reveal too much about his personal life on a public forum. Regardless, Thalmor does not hold any gov position. But your post suggests that he should have far less influence than he should, which is a bit unfair to him. Thalmor is still our Grand Master Emeritus, and while he has made mistakes in the past he still deserves to have a say in things and guide the current gov. Either way, Thalmor resigning from leadership is still equivalent to changing the goals the alliance is chasing for. A leader represents an alliance; Apollo becoming the new leader represents KT, turning a new chapter in its history. I’m sure that even if Thalmor was actually still gov now, KT would be treading on a different path than it would if Thalmor remained in power.
