The only time I've ever had it out for an alliance is when they've lied to me in negotiations. Tbh you can't stop a good raider from making a profit.

The CB "I think you're going to attack me, so I'm going to attack you" is legitimate. Or even "we are bound to fight at one point, so I'm going to start it now on my terms." Both are valid.

I don't think surrendering is that bad. There was a war sometime ago that ended in white peace, but everyone knew who actually won. White peace, in a winning scenerio, implies a certain respect for your opponent. I guess syndisphere doesn't have that for IQ.

Dude... allies are there to help you out. Every alliance has "dragged" in their allies. That isn't a reason to leave the war early. Government's "drag" their members into war for things that don't necessarily concern them. That member shouldn't leave the alliance in the middle of the war as a response.
