Maybe if you guys declared some wars against the alliances you are fighting rather than just a few unaligned, people would take your "war" more seriously?

Much worry was in the top ranks of the military of the great nation, as there had not been any real training of the newly conscripted army. To alleviate this concern a great drill was planned. The drill was to be held in the ruins of ancient civilizations that had long since been forgotten and live ammo would be used in order to simulate real life combat. Further to ensure as realistic conditions as possible the soldiers were send in with only rudimentary knowledge of the area. This made the drill more dangerous and proved fatal for some of the brave young men and women participating. The deaths sparked great uproar in the City when the families of the deceased took to the streets in protest against the conditions in the armed forces. A spokes person for the military had the following comment when asked about the deaths: "Our bad" This admission of guilt did much to help restore order in the City and the protests seem to have died down. The drills continue and while deaths still occur the general population seems to have accepted that in order to create a professional army, some sacrifices are necessary.

I think you should settle this the old fashion way, with soldiers and death and amusement for all.
