  1. Idk Skynet may be the best admin.
  2. Messy and welcome back.
  3. That's obviously what you're attempting do, but the opposite will now happen. All that will happen now is more people will buy spies till they get 50 and never touch them again, because they are no longer applicable or useful in anyway other than defense. Unless you now reduce spy op costs the system is now forever broken.
  4. I would prefer the old spy system with no spy range, but would be satisfied if the system was reverted back to when the spy ranges were first implemented and we remove all spy stats.
  5. What I actually wanted is a war edition with the same setup as regularly P&W, but with cheaper prices for everything(to allow faster growth) and have it reset every year. This way we still put time and politics into it, so it's not just all war and we still have the benefit of not caring too much because it resets.
  6. Let's be honest here sheepy, there have never been any necessary changes to the spy system aside from bugs. All the changes you've made to it have been to appease the complaining players(who didn't want amass of spies) and have progressively made the spy system less and less usable. Now the latest proposed update if you push it through will cease the use of spies offensively(because it's no longer cost effective) except from cases where they outnumber the opposing spies by far. So please just revert the spy system to way it was when the spy range was first put in(as a middle ground) or remove them altogether so we no longer have to waste money on spies for defensive purposes only.
  7. I personally preferred the spy system prior to the spy ranges, it allowed for nations to separate themselves, plan and build in a unique way. Did this make the playing field somewhat unfair? Sure, but it was nothing drastic from what I saw and life's not fair, so why should every aspect of this game be? A little imbalance is needed or everything becomes too structured with no diversity. With this new update it will be the norm for everyone to have 50 spies for defense and only use them offensively in war. With "72% success odds in a 50 vs 50 simulation at the maximum caution level" I wouldn't use them in a non-war scenario, that's about 1/4 chance that I will fail wasting max covert money and then being countered if identified losing even more. This whole update will make the entire spy system bland. Then to top it all off alliances that built large spies forces like Vanguard, Mensa and BoC have now lost a significant amount of power that helped balance the strength of the top 10 AA's. So congrats your covert op. against the spy system was successful, you've killed it, I'm done with it.

    Why leave then?
  9. Same, that's why I changed to South America, only one that lets you produce 3 refined resources without buying any raw.
