  1. A way to get around this: change the 10 to something very big like 500 and then perform the checkbox thing. But yea, inbuilt functionality wouldn't hurt.
  2. If the government is using the delete function in order to hide their mistakes instead of more legitimate administrative purposes perhaps it is time to change alliances?
  3. - Delete announcements (besides pushing them off) - Edit announcements
  4. National project name: Munitions Research Facility Small description: A center for refining and improving munitions. Project effect: Munition-supported soldier ratio increased from 1.75x to 2.25x. Resource cost: 4,000 1,000 1,000 Cash cost: $15,000,000
  5. The problem is that this is not a Ponzi scheme; it is merely a "oops I ran out of money" scheme. Now, a Ponzi scheme could in theory actually profit and fish in some investors, who knows.
  6. Ok even this one I can't really see how you could possibly make this work at a profit.
  7. Can confirm that investment was repaid with 10% interest promptly.
  8. How do you plan on inflicting, say, 48 immense triumphs for an 8-city nation given that wars last for 5 days, so you end up with 66 total battle points, or 22 ground battles?
  9. Perhaps something to think about for the future: a rotating logo among several pictures?
  10. Good, you should be disappointed
  11. What is happening: the pie chart creates a bunch of objects, one for each sector, even if the sector is of size 0. (If it's of size 0, it still has a positive hitbox of a line or so.) When you mouseover the piechart, it takes the object of the topmost layer, i.e. the object created last. Since projects are the last category, when you mouseover that line, you hit the projects sector.
  12. Just post normally and the bonuses will come naturally
  13. I embargoed to bandwagon and to mark the nation to watch out for him.
  14. I absolutely do not understand how people would pick a savings account at 3% interest over an investment opportunity at 10% interest. Oh well, your loss
  15. I stopped at the speed round (mostly because I went on vacation and there was no feasible way of keeping up). Just started a few days ago
  16. Might as well try the game in its more polished state. Used to be VoC (DEIC now) Minister of Finance, then ran the Unicorp solo alliance for a time. I like trying to figure out how to nationbuild efficiently* and how to beat the system, let's see if we can do it again with time against my side. I may join an alliance later on, who knows? *I gave up after awhile since the game kept on changing; hopefully all the numbers are fixed now.
  17. The savings rate is about 2%/week, which this investment seems to promise more. I don't expect ridiculous gains of course, so anyone demanding 50% or more is being unreasonable. I don't really have anything better to do with my money now so I'll just send 700k
  18. Nation ID 9315 100 posts https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=9315
  19. Nation name: Neo Ataraxia https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=9315
  20. I've always been concerned about the threat of a possible nuclear war, but a lot of people have said that humanity won't actually go extinct should some nuclear war happen. With that said, I think global warming will be devastating, but would not drive humanity to complete extinction. Put it simply however, it wouldn't be pretty. As the population declines as a result of arable land going further north, factories and most of the gas-emitting things start shutting down due to understaffing. Humans are remarkably adaptable (especially with our technological superiority) and should survive to a limited extent, since we also would import the domesticated animals and plants that we eat. However, many other animals aren't as adaptable and we would (and indeed, we are) be in a mass extinction. tl;dr: Humans live (numbers would sharply decline), a lot of species would get wrecked.
  21. 36 bonuses? Not sure if I completely agree with the hub graph, but the fundamental idea sounds interesting. Also I don't think every continent has to have an equal number of bonuses (making certain continents more competitive than others). Making this play out akin to a game of alliance-wide Risk. Hmm
