  1. I'm guessing that Grave wanted to do the maximum infra damage and thus focused on hitting that instead of other targets. Regardless, your words got me thinking, could Oasis really be flagging? As a member of Oasis Bloc, I decided to see if there was a KT nation that wasn't beiged or fully slotted in close range to my own and join in the fight. Found nothing. So I decided to check all the way up to the maximum that I could hit- all slotted as well. So guessing you're just being your usual humorous self :-p.
  2. Ahhh. It makes sense now :-). I thought you were saying that I reminded you of some book that you've been meaning to read, not the book I was quoting :-p. Anyway, I highly recommend it, but I would, having literally read all of Frank Herbert's Dune books twice and almost every other book he ever wrote :-p. I even read some of his son's Dune books, but he just wasn't the same, so I think I skipped a few. Anyway, I will keep better track of when you are putting things in parenthesis from here on out :-p.
  3. Not trying to patronize you. I'm just curious as to what the book's called. It's hard to know when you're joking and when you're serious to be honest. I think most if not all of the above is the 'joking around' part, so I'll just leave it at that.
  4. Not sure whether I should take you seriously or not :-p. Anyway, assuming you're being serious about the book at least, if you figure out what it's called, let me know, I'm curious :-p. As to death, I'm personally not afraid of death per se. I think it'd be a relief, I worry about too much stuff in life -.- -Dying- on the other hand, seems like a real pain. Have a friend who probably doesn't have much time left in this world. Looking at how weak he is physically, I'm thinking if -I- were in his situation, I'd be looking for assisted suicide. However, he didn't get there overnight. I guess one can get used to it if it happens gradually. He does have a do not resuscitate order, although they didn't comply once already (in fairness, it's not tagged to his wrist and if someone's dying in a hospital, they aren't going over all the files to check). I imagine torture's the worst- no slow decline to get acclimated.
  5. This reminds me of a joke- "It takes a big man to cry. And and even bigger man to laugh at him" :-p. It's a joke, but I think that hidden within it might be some real truth. Ultimately, everything has weaknesses. Now, one can try to hide those weaknesses from everyone, but the danger is that at some point in time, one or more of these weaknesses may be revealed. More likely than not, they will be revealed at an inopportune time. If, on the other hand, one chooses to reveal one's weaknesses to people one thinks are trustworthy, one might gain a truly good friend. Or not, it doesn't always work out. In any case, here's one I think you will agree with. A line from God: Emperor of Dune- “What happens when you think like a Fremen?” “You remember that you should never be in company that you wouldn’t want to die with."
  6. Completely agree, which is the main reason that I was so persistent in attempting to find the truth regarding the word of certain Alliance leaders.
  7. That bolded part I think is the most important part in my view. The thing that most Alliances and Blocs are concerned about is a power becoming too powerful. It's why so many Blocs allied against Quack- the belief that Quack had become too powerful and if the Blocs didn't ally together, they could be taken out one at a time. No one thinks that KT will be destroying Oasis in the forseeable future. Like you said, Oasis can take care of this themselves.
  8. Pfft. NAPs for the win :-). Like you said, those who really want war will find ways around it. The rest can enjoy some Farmville time -.-
  9. Assuming you're talking about Immortals, that's not how I'd put it. It's more like- KT pesters Immortals long enough to get Immortals to declare war on KT. War is now in full swing- Immortals offers a peace, probably with the understanding that KT will henceforth stop pestering KT. KT makes it out like Immortals are weak, when the truth is Immortals is pounding them hard and apparently having fun doing it. The way I see it, Tyrion plays the long game. Sure, it's fun now, but eventually it'll get dull- why wait until that point? But some people like waiting until that point, and then waiting some more. To be honest, this reminds me a lot of the global war against Quack. I remember Thalmor saying how dull it was in one of his radio shows, as Quack was all slotted up and it was just get those coming out of beige, rinse and repeat. Well, history tends to repeat itself if the lessons aren't learned...
  10. I don't know much about Fark, but I've been a fan of The Immortals for a while now. They may not be your cup of tea, but they actually have quite a few friends, as well as a fair amount of members.
  11. I strongly disagree with that. I'm guessing you really didn't read this thread in its entirety, particularly Tyrion's post. Quoting from it:
  12. I never needed to get involved. I got involved because I care about the issues. Still do. Anyway, it looks like things may have settled down as much as they're going to, so perhaps we can finally put this whole thing to rest :-p.
  13. What Ronny and others have been trying to persuade you guys for a very long time is that while they may have thought of attacking you guys briefly, it was very brief. Swamp, via Tyrion, has once again been adamant that Swamp never had any plans to attack you guys and no one on the non Quack side has contradicted him at this point. Ronny has always made it clear that he didn't actually talk to Swamp, so it's easy to see how he could have misinterpreted things. Leftbehind certainly hasn't contradicted him.
  14. I read every word in the OP. I imagine Tyrion did as well. It seems clear as day that he's saying that he believes that Ronny simply misinterpreted things. Because unlike Leftbehind, he never spoke to TI. Now that Leftbehind is here, I imagine that he can weigh in on his own recollection of his conversation with TI. Perhaps that will help us finally come to an agreement on what really happened here.
  15. I think what Tyrion is getting at is that he wasn't in the HM only conversations. He has already said that TI spoke to LeftBehind concerning a defensive treaty.
  16. Thanks a lot for posting this here. As to what Shifty meant, my guess is he meant that Leftbehind had spoken to TI, which was true. But what you said above puts that all into the proper context. For me and possibly for many others, it is quite possibly for the first time. I had -suspected- that the HM leader (which we now know was Leftbehind) had been referring to Swamp's wish for a defensive Coalition but with your words, it solidly reinforces this belief.
  17. Thank you so much Shifty. It's no secret that I've been longing to know who the HM leader was for ages now -.-. However, if your hope was that I'd stop posting once and for all, I'm afraid I'll have to dash your hopes :-p. As a matter of fact, until the HM leader was revealed, I really couldn't say much. There was simply no lead left I could follow. As to your point that TI did know, the first question to that would be, know what? The only thing that LeftBehind said in your log was the familiar bit about wanting to counter Quack's growth and that Swamp had wanted a tie with HM, but that doesn't mean that they wanted to attack Quack. As I've said in the past, what would -really- be good to know more about is whether LeftBehind talked to anyone in Swamp about this. Based on the log, it seems that he might not have, but Akuryo did, assuming that James is/was a Swamp representative.
  18. I said I cared about Corpsman and he responded by saying that I'm obnoxious. The logical conclusion would seem to dictate that he equates caring with being obnoxious. Or perhaps he finds it obnoxious if someone cares about Corpsman. Anyway, your tactical points seem sound.
  19. It seems you equate caring with being obnoxious. Beginning to understand your meme :-p.
  20. I was told early on that spies were super useful, so that's not happening :-p.
  21. Someone was killing off my spies for a while too. They finally got me down to like 13 spies, I think they got bored of it at that point :-p.
  22. I doubt it :-p. However, I did get -someone- sending me some information without even requesting it. Now, it may just be part of a joke, but this is a rumour that I've heard before, so I'll just pass it on. Someone in the Politics and War Discord server named "BananaCheeks" told me that the mysterious HM leader is Keegoz. He also said he is a senior HM leader, which I'm 99% sure is BS :-p. He also said some stuff I don't believe at all, such as this notion that HM and Rose had a treaty going back all the way to June, which is why I think this BC guy is either just joking or just saying what he believes. I've been told that this is what some in Quack believe, so I thought I'd pass it on. You, ofcourse, -know- who the HM leader is.
  23. A rose by any other name... I just woke up. How about you :-p?
