A long lineage of merges and rebrands, some good some bad. We gained and lost a lot of great people over the years. Shout out to some former people like @DemonSpawnand @Alexio15. Some hated it. Some loved it. I hated it occasionally(mainly @Kiloist II), but I kept coming back. I came along during the Ampersand Era and had a lot of fun over my time with the crew. We won wars. We lost wars. We laughed, argued, cried, vomited, and even got tracked by the FBI. Through good times and bad it was a fun run, but as time went on the core group that had been with the alliance through multiple iterations began aging and stepping out of government. It was finally time to close the book. All good things come to an end, I guess.

I can't remember the last time 2 major alliances that are allies engaged in a proxy war lol. Neat

There’s so much going on that I don’t know which 2 these are. Could you fill me in while I find slots in Florida alliances. I’m not sure if we’re at war with them or not.

  3. #1 shouldn’t be just Multispheres and Bipolarity. I am pretty sure it’s possible to exist without either in play. I think if there was more connections between spheres and alliances and less blocs, wars could be more interesting. People entering the war over time as it reaches through the web instead of just one side smacking into another is more likely to cause a fog of war in my opinion. You could see stuff like an alliance 1v1 turning into some sort of global as it expands. I am no political professor in this weird game but one extreme or the other isn’t the only options.

The timer should be set to 5 days instead

I was kinda iffy on both propositions of moving it up to c15 and removing it all together, but your idea is actually one I like. I second this.
    Make it 5 days instead.

    Questions for the community:

Should perks be visible? Should only your alliance be able to see what perks a nation has? Should they be able to see all research, active, both? Should intel spy ops give info on perks of a target nation?

No they shouldn’t be visible. I’m still upset about having exact military numbers visible. Good idea. I actually like this.

When I wrote t$ treaties, I usually would explicitly spell out non-chaining clauses. I also prefer to spell out oA clauses, even though we have had past treaties and writers who say that any MDP has an implied oA clause.

The articles in this treaty between t$ and Eclipse, in large part, do cover what happened with Wayward.

But I remember a day, long ago, when we told an ally - hey look, there is a conflict that we do not have any business participating in. Let us not do that. Said ally then proceeds to intervene in that conflict, with little notice or warning, because of some grand plan they figured they were concocting. That led us to break the treaty, and stop the actions we were undertaking at the time. It also led to one of the greatest forum threads ever composed here.

Now imagine that happening, again, years later. I doubt other people would be thrilled by it either.

Non-chaining has been assumed for most of PnW's existence. I am guessing they may have spelled out some of these terms explicitly as a hint to their recent affairs, but these articles don't actually cover what happened between t$ and Wayward so maybe it's just a new trend of making treaties explicit and clear? Tbh that's a trend I support.

Spelling out treaties in detail is definitely something that needs to be more of a standard. Non-chaining especially can create some interesting scenarios.

I’m also hoping that this is possibly a move towards more AA centric stances on t$’s end though that obviously remains to be seen.

I just haven't seen nonchaining in a while. Maybe I missed a few somewhere.

I actually liked your post, except for this. Holding grudges like that in a game like this is just not productive or beneficial for the game at all. That’s why you two just kept smacking into eachother over and over with cbs sometimes and most of the time just “we don’t like eachother”. That’s not interesting or beneficial to anything in this kind of a game. Just keeps you playing the same exact story/war/game on repeat like a broken record.

    Nobody gets removed for that.

Only people that get removed are people that derail the convo or anything else but if everything is kept in IC then there is no problem

and if i remember correctly it was a misunderstanding with roberts and daveth that was handled 😂

    very well
