The send message API does not require your login information. Additionally, a really great open source tool for sending messages is https://bar3.bsnk.dev With a basic understanding of POST requests, using the send message API is very simple Perhaps the option to receive recruitment message can be disabled by default, and in the new tutorial it can show you how to enable them?

Hello, I've never actually done one of these suggestion forums before. But i'm going to now because I believe there is a major problem with alliance recruiting messages. Many new players are absolutely bombarded with recruitment messages, this gives the impression of the game being a spammy mess of people looking to milk funds and score out of your nation. I think many players are overwhelmed by this. Here is my suggestion: Require all automated messages be sent via the send-messages api All messages sent via the api are flagged as automated messages/bot in-game, clearly for players to see Additionally, automated messages sent for the purpose of recruiting are flagged as recruiting messages Players can enable/disable recruitment messages on the account management page Recruitment messages are limited in how often they can be sent Each alliance can only send one recruitment message per new player Ie, I just joined the game, I can only get a message from the same alliance once Let me know what you think ig. I don't think this would be exceptionally hard on administration/development to implement. Just a couple fields in the send-message api to mark whether it's recruitment or not. And they should already be able to check if it's sent with the API or in-game.

I actually like the motivation here, I think the game is very in need of things to help new players, but the reason we need that is so they can still compete with older established players in the long term. The daily bonus changes are helping not only new players but also established players. We already have plenty of new whale boosting mechanics, this might be small but it still exists. As far as the raiding, do you mean only small nations would be able to raid up and down, or would everyone? If that's the case alliances with lots of inactives are going to find themselves getting raided all the time, and i'm not a milcom expert but I suspect this could be an issue in war too, where nations are declaring on random inactive small nations to fund things while in a blockade, etc, something not really possible at higher city counts. Again though, interesting ideas for sure

I'd advise making these posts in Orbis Central, not alliance affairs. This is traditionally only for alliance announcements, such as DoEs, declarations of war, treaties, and merge announcements. Second, I agree with Kev, join an alliance similar to the alliance you want to create, learn how they do it, perhaps get some experience as gov/staff.

I think a lot of tools do provide a great resource for dozens of members. Just because you or Arrgh don't like to use them doesn't mean others don't use those resources. Idk about you, but I'd say managing 80+ members - or in the case of TI/TKR/Rose 180+ - is quite time consuming. A lot of the tools we use in BK just save a ton of time and effort. We don't have to sit there and check the control panel to see warchests, we don't have to open 50 tabs to manage offshoring, we don't have to bother managing taxes and grey's. It's just automatic. I agree with you on the point of recruiting. New nations get spammed with literally 50+ messages, and even when large nations move alliances they get one or 2 messages. However I think that's also an effective way to get new players to join alliances, cuz let's be honest, if they don't then they won't play for very long. Not to mention, there's been hours upon hours and in some instances hundreds of dollars pumped into building tech for this game. Some of the stuff that's been created is arguably more sophisticated than the game itself.

Seems like an effective use of the forum to me I noticed your forums link on your AA page links to this thread, a lot of times when people use said forum link they host their own offsite forums (ie https://www.knightsradiant.pw https://polarorder.net etc). I would advise against just posting a thread in the public to run your alliance, but alas.
