Sometimes wars are the result of political maneuvering - it’s clear this NAP was - but very little of that is made public. Some of the recently used “CBs” have made it clear that the war itself is because of something, but the reasoning is increasingly hidden from the public. Most players no longer even know what they’re fighting a war for when one kicks off. Spectators have no clue what the true reasoning is unless they’re in-the-know. And once the war finishes, the terms are white peace (or maybe a surrender) and a NAP. We’re aware most of you don’t care about this opinion. We just couldn’t sit around and watch a good number of our friends, within and without the alliance, continue to lose interest in the game because the talking heads don’t care about the overall game. This post isn’t about “politics” - it’s about pointing out that this is just… uncool. The mergers we’ve seen reduce the number of political actors. That’s not to say they’re not a valid strategy, but so is signing a forever NAP and just never fighting again. In fact, never fighting again is the optimal strategy. I’m sure some parts of the game are working hard on that goal, but the point is that, as players, we are partially responsible for the health of the game & its political environment. I hope this is the only time we see this happen, but I’m not going to pretend that’s what I expect. First it was 3.5 months for one day. Now it’s an extra 3 months for no time. Maybe these thoughts mean nothing. But we’re not the only ones having them. As we continue to put focus on remedies using diplomacy, discussions have been had in private channels about extending the Orbis NAP and having peace between spheres. This has been agreed upon and involved parties are listed in length at the end of this article. This will be effective following immediately after the end of the current non-aggression pact from the One Day War ending on May 18th, 2024 12:00 AM Gametime (Standard Update) The agreed upon terms are as followed: A non-aggression period between the constituent alliances of all coalitions lasting August 18th, 2024 12:00 AM Gametime (Standard Update) during which as defined are: No wars on members No raids on members No mass ghosting to hit coalition members No shell alliance hits No spy attacks will be carried out against the other coalition’s members No hiring of mercenaries or raiders to hit the opposing coalition signatories Signatories agree that an agreement of mutual defense supersedes non-aggression. Henceforth, if there is found to be documented and proven aggression by any signatories, diplomacy should be executed to resolve by way of peace, financial reparations, or war. Response by the defending party is at their discretion, based on severity. The terms of the NAP are considered void between the aggressive signatory or parties and the receiving signatory or parties - depending on violation, only upon official statement given publicly. If no statement of voiding is given publicly, with proof, then the NAP as outlined prior will continue to be enforced. All extensions of alliances below are automatically included in the NAP, named or otherwise. Trantor, 12 053 Galactic Era Hari Seldon looked at his calculations, and told himself: this can't be right. The galactic empire seems to be at the height of it's power, however, the psychohistorian Hari Seldon predicted that it's capital, trantor, would fall in the following 300 or so years. Following this would come 30 000 years of chaos and barbary before a new empire could rise, predicted once again thanks to his calculations, if we did nothing. But how could anyone do nothing in those conditions? As the empire could not be prevented to fall, Seldon decided to act in another way: reducing the interreign, also known as the period between the 2 empires. He decided to create The Foundation on planet Terminus, on the outskirts of the galaxy, to reduce the interreign to only 1000 years. The Western Republic and The Aequitas International decided to help him to the best of their capacity, sending 100k people total to create the colony. The starting goal is simple, collect all the scientific knowledge of the empire, and spread it through the galaxy through an encyclopedia, however, as time passed, it became clear that Seldon wanted these people to establish the empire themselves.... "Rescued" ODOO set terms and conditions on us for their entry that were undoubtedly beneficial to themselves. Their entry was self interest, a prid quo pro. By that point in the war, we had already taken all the damage we were going to take. Peace negotiations with SAIL and us would have taken place and been finished well before the extended war would have, had parties remained in the coalition instead of peacing out. We could have taken a long NAP and sat and allowed for things to play out without us. It would have been more beneficial for us to do so. We opted to make a deal that would prolong the conflict we had already been fighting for 2 months (preceding 2 months of fighting others) in order to make a move that would benefit all parties, That would have committed us to at least 5 months of straight war. The assertion that we were rescued from anything is laughable. I'm not going to expand on what your terms were, despite the various wild claims being made here, but the fact is, you guys had a deal on the table that worked for you, and that is why you helped. And then you walked away from the deal. And very abruptly. We all know how much of a mess that was. As far as us being "angry" goes, I hadn't really intended to get involved in this discussion much. But certain claims were made here that required addressing, and I think it's interesting you guys have chosen to single us out, given everyone else who signed onto the nap, including alliances you claim to have good relations with, and, all in all, we owe you the least here besides perhaps Eclipse. TKR immediately planned to attack us as soon as the Fortuna war in which we fought together was over. And they did, bringing in Syndicate. That put us under a NAP cycle, the same one that prompted their entry into our war later on. TKR made a deal that, as I said earlier, was beneficial to them, in order to bring themselves in, and then when things got too hairy for them, struck a different deal behind our backs, and attempted to exclude us from the process, which would have inevitably left us in the same war they are purported to have rescued us from lmfao. These are all claims I can easily support with evidence, if I have to. Despite all this, we have not gone after or targeted you directly, this entire time. We could have easily sought revenge on TKR/ODOO for your previous attacks on us, we could have easily sought to align with people attempting to hit you this cycle, and, with this nap in place, we could easily align with the current coalition against you. Instead, we have, more than once, attempted to work with you, and find mutual common ground and cut deals with you that would work to our mutual benefit. But past behaviour is a pretty good indicator for future behaviour, and TKR has proven time and time again, that collaboration with you ends poorly for us. Perhaps you'd prefer me to sit alongside you, whisper sweet nothings in your ear, and pretend like I wasn't one of the alliances who signed onto the NAP? Given who you guys have chosen as the target of your ire here, it feels to me that you'd rather hear comfortable lies than brutal honesty.

I thought it would be nice of me to compile a list of things you could do between now and August if you are one of the roughly 3000 players affected by the handful of cowardly leaders who doubled an already way-too-long NAP after 24 hours of warfare back in February. In no particular order: Learn a musical instrument Start an exercise routine Coup your leaders Leave your terrible alliance Pick up knitting Give painting a try, Bob Ross is nice to watch Listen to some new, or old, music Read a book or 20 Start shopping for your autumn wardrobe - the NAP will end by the time the weather starts turning in many areas. Give Rise of Kings Online a try, a new nationsim game that doesn't [yet] have years of NAPs being signed Learn some basic Spanish Do some yoga Visit your family Post your ideas for how to spend the 2024 NAP here!

We've existed at war longer than peace. TKR started the beef here with trying to twist every fact. Is it this hard for you guys to stop with the bs? We're annoyed with the lies and the gaslighting that has been non-stop at this point. The claim hasn't been debunked btw. You guys saying it is false doesn't make it an automatic truth. We have enough evidence of TKR lying to our faces already, it's beyond pathetic and the basis of why we no longer trust you.

Now you are trying to pretend that was instigated by us, because as usual, TKR plays the blame game, and this is exactly why we didn't want to work with you. You betray the coalitions you work with, over and over, shifting blame to others to hide your own shit. We had just come off fighting 4 months straight, and you forced us into the room to make peace after one day. We would have fought on. You cut a deal with t$ and leveraged it to get us all to peace out. Attempting to pin the nap on us because, when faced with a decision we didn't want, we pushed for something that would benefit us more as a consolation prize, is rich. Now you are shocked and amazed that we dared not to work with you, when you are still out here lying and obfuscating information in order to shift responsibility from yourselves. This NAP happened because of you, because you weren't content to fight Eclipse in a 1v1 on your own terms, and we knew, that when face to face with that prospect in a months time, you would have signed the other deal on the table and left us to be screwed. Because that is what you did last war, and that is the pattern of behaviour you've established for 2 cycles in a row, you screw over your coalition partners.

Hey guys, what if instead of having multiple small alliances that all fight and compete with each other, we just merged them all into one? Then players wouldn't have to worry about such silly little things as "politics" or "war" or "having fun" which im sure no proper Natsim player would ever care about. Infact, to make sure no other alliance could form, we should deliberately raid any new player till they quit, so that there poisonous ideas don't seep into the community. Going even further beyond this, i think that this new alliance should purely focus on getting as much score as possible as fast as possible, therefore the new alliance should have all of its members accounts managed by the alliance government, infact members shouldn't even be allowed to login to their accounts, as that may create unnecessary "fun" that any self respecting alliance wouldn't allow. In conclusion I truly believe that this proposal would make the game almost 50% as boring as the current NAP (Disclaimer, this is satire of the recent NAP expansion, also my apologies if this is in the wrong section)
