  2. Since my tenure in Rose govt I've been pretty withdrawn from wider Orbis affairs so I have no real idea what's been going on except the major wars, but regardless of my absence, I thought we agreed as a community to stop making superblocs? Does this not remind you of anything? And yet we still get this kind of bs? What is this? Since when it was it socially acceptable for a dozen top 50 alliances to behave like a 2020 micro? Didn't we used to roll microspheres with 30 treaties per party? If I'm being stupid please, feel free to let me know but it feels like we as a community have some kind of selective amnesia once every few years. Why is it that we catagorically pay lip service to the idea of "minispheres" and yet we bumble along like drones when someone decides to bloat their sphere up like they're having a meal at the Heart Attack Grill?

  3. Thought it prudent to clarify that Requiem is not part of Florida at this time. It remains tied to both Rose and Paradise in different manners (not to mention, tied both at different times & before the formation of the sphere). We are as much a part of Florida as we are HOGG or TOB. That is to say, not at all. Our treaties are by definition individual and non chaining.

  4. While this isn't major it's still a bug and this probably means like the last time something similar happened where it breaks the alliance Seniority and you didn't have to pay taxes #bringthatback https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=247785 https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=10998

  5. Why did this line arouse a small part of me that desires to start a villain arc? But nah... I don't feeeeeeeeeeel like it.

  6. Oh, don't mistake me for one of those with a legitimate interest in mini spheres and things like that. I truly am a hammer person. It's my style of play to gather power and to wield it in order to impose my will whenever possible. I wear the villain crown with pride. 😘 I know you're being cheeky, but it really depends on what the objective is and how thorough the victory is. This game is made to make it tougher to force people to accept such terms compared to others, so I wouldn't expect it to be the norm at all.

  8. Do you force allies to split after you force their government to change, or is that after?

  9. I imagine so, if you take it at face value. But the fact remains those treaties are relatively long standing - our MDP with The Afterlyfe transferred to Paradise once they merged.

  10. Tier list: ______ Midgard is pretty thick and girthy, but they don't have any cities. Maybe they'll be a threat if they grow all those dudes over the course of 18 months or something, but that's a problem for the future version of ourselves. Plus the rest of the game can come together to smack them down if need be. I don't think that's necessary though. A true superbloc is one where, if the entire outgroup came together to smack them, that it would still be a tough fight or otherwise uncompetitive. I believe we are far away from that.

  11. It may be frowned upon by my peers, but I'm going to say it... I basically agree. Somewhere along the way @Kan0601 seems to have slipped on his goal of making smaller spheres and generating more interesting dynamics in the game's politics, because Midgard right now looks to be exactly the opposite of that. Nothing against Kan personally and I'm loyal to Aurora, but like... just saying.

  19. First, I already don't trust you about this because your math is off. Where did you get $6,000? You just said assume 1 steel = $3,000. So that should be $3,000. Then 3000/5 = 600. Also, sure, let's just totally forget/neglect the additional $60 per tank. Second, well yeah tanks are meant to cost more than soldiers. That just makes logical sense. Now if you want to argue worth the ratio is too high because 1 tank = 40 unarmed soldiers and 1 tank is worth roughly $1,560, which is 7.8 times the $200 the 40 soldiers are worth, then that's up to you m8. Note that reducing it to 0.25 steel per tank would decrease this ratio to about 4 times the cost of 40 soldiers. Third, militarization isn't mean to be cheap, kiddo. That's part of why alliances need to consider when to militarize and when not to. But for reference, assuming steel is $3,000 ppu, tank militarization alone is $1,950,000 per city while soldier militarization is $75,000 per city. Finally, unless you're not serious about this suggestion, you put it in the wrong place lol.

  21. If you think a particular bloc is too big, my recommendation is to gather enough firepower to take them down and force them to split up. I wouldn't expect that a random thread chastising the community for not doing it for you would be especially effective.
