  1. Announcement from the Church of Atom The Church is declaring victory after Papal intelligence services confirmed that Hollestial has indeed disbanded. Our primary objective has been achieved. We will continue a limited special military operation against TKR as they have wide swaths of infrastructure that need to be deinfratized. We thank the community for all it's support and will continue to work to make Orbis a better place!

  2. I gotta be honest here, i dont see why anyone would put Roq on this list. If you want to make a list of infamy sure. He ran NPO, an alliance if i remember correctly that won 2 wars (I am giving them the win in the IQ war, even tho they disbanded in the end) in its entire existence. Came into the game and was bankrolled by a shit ton of alliances, and only found dominance when it was bankrolled by an alliance of 1000 members whose only job was to feed them resources while they fought. Then he used that power to pin half the game in a war for about 8 months.

  3. Announcement from The Knights Radiant The Radiants are declaring victory after Radiant Intelligence Services confirmed that TKR has indeed regained its #1 spot on the Nuclear Stockpile list. After CoA launched 274 nukes and had 137 destroyed by Radiant spies our primary objective has been achieved. We will continue a special military operation to widen our lead as they have many more nukes available to be launched or destroyed by Radiant spies. We thank Church of Atom for its support in helping us return to the top as the preeminent nuclear power in Orbis!

  9. EDIT: This post was a bit of a cluster-f. TL;DR: Fortify should ask the user what to fortify against (air, land, sea). If user fortifies against air, and opponent uses air-strike, then the attack will be severely nerfed.

  11. Your first city, which is the only one not powered has an infrastructure of 1060. A single oil power plant provides power for only 500 infra and you have two of them which means only 1000 out of 1060 infra receives power. Hence, the rest 60 infra is not powered. I would recommend going for nuclear power, you can buy uranium at the trade market and one nuclear power plant powers the same amount of infra as four oil plants.

  14. Hello everyone, Some of you may have heard by now but our beloved friend and comrade RedArmy has passed away this weekend. He died from complications from heart surgery, he was 33. Those who knew him already know this, but he was one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. He would do anything for anybody, including driving 8 hours across the country to pick up another alliance member who was going through some really rough times, and helping them secure a place to live. Although we've only been playing this game together for 4-5 years, he ended up becoming like a brother to me, and to most of ASM. He was someone who would always listen to you, and help guide you through whatever rough patch you were going through. He was so genuine in an era where that doesn't exist. We went on an ASM camping trip last year, and it was a blast, except our first night camping we were crushed during Guns & Roses, and 3/4 of ASM's gov't was off in the woods drinking, out of cell service. Red was the only one who had cell service and when he got the notifications he promptly turned the phone off, and casually mentioned it to me a few hours later... deep into inebriation. Red was one of the most selfless people I've ever met, and that I will ever meet. He constantly gave others everything he had, whether it was emotionally, physically or even financially. He kept nothing for himself. This was true even in death. With his last dying breath he was able to hold on long enough to make it possible to donate several organs so that others could live. ASM will never be the same. He was the bedrock of our community, the glue that held a bunch of political stalwarts from delving into chaos every waking moment. There aren't enough kind words I can say about Red. Please pour one out for our fallen brother. We are heartbroken. If you are interested there is a gofundme for his family, i've posted it in ASM's discord server. In the interim I have taken over leadership of ASM. See you on the other side brother. Rest easy. Love Yinz.

  17. Red was a mix of genuine and kind that as simple as it is rare. Everyone in the ASM Discord has a story of him being so giving and supportive that it's almost off-putting, until you kept interacting with him and realized he was 100% the real deal. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have gotten to know him. Rest in Power, Fellow Worker.

  19. A lot of bluffing and huffing in this thread but unfortunately it has to be done. On behalf of TKR we accept Church of Atom's terms and formally surrender with the following: 1. Morf will be removed from government 2. Who Me will decom all his nukes Thanks for the good fight, we just couldn't overcome the odds.

  24. The Royal Wedding between the Hive & Aurora Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join two lovebirds in holy matrimony. The beloved prince in shining armor, The Hive, and his beloved women princess Aurora. Preamble: The Hive and Aurora (herein "the signatories") come together under the guiding principles of the magic of royal marriage, love, mutual defense, and common prosperity to establish a Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact. Article I: Equal Marriage The Signatories each recognize the sovereignty of the other and henceforth, in the spirit of mutual cooperation, agree to not attack, defraud or otherwise harm the other signatory militarily, economically and/or politically and commit to furthering the shared security and welfare of both alliances. Article II: Family Gossip The signatories agree to share any pertinent intelligence obtained through "little birds". Pertinent intelligence is deemed as information that threatens the security or sovereignty of either signatory. Article III: Defend as a Family An act of war upon one signatory is considered an act of war on both. Both parties agree to provide mandatory mutual defense should either signatory be attacked. In the event either signatory comes under attack via activation of an external treaty, the mandatory defense is then considered optional defense. Article IV: Aggressive Love In the event that a signatory requires assistance in an aggressive war against a third party, signatories are strongly encouraged but not obligated to assist the other by means of financial or military support. Article V: *gulp* Divorce If either signatory feels that this treaty has been unjustly violated or would like to end the agreement, notification of withdrawal must be given to the remaining signatory within sixty-nine hours. Custody of Children will be determined during this by court. Article VI: Family Décor In accordance of Clock, the treaty will be established in-game as an MDP to maintain a well adjusted household (treaty web). If any events do change that no longer require this, the in-game treaty can be corrected to an MDoAP. Signatories, The Hive, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live? I do, Conscience: MinesomeMC Conscience: Caboose Right Brain: Church Left Brain: Witherskella10 Aurora, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live? I do, First Explorer: Kan0601 First Explorer: ToxicPepper Second Explorer: Alex Chairman of FA: Xi Jinping Tl;DR - Aurora and The Hive get married and sign an MDoAP

  28. A modest collection of gems from over the years - mostly jokes, some official yet often still hilarious threads, and a few thoughtful posts - for a venture down memory lane. This isn't even covering his jokes/gags from CN, or countless amusing IRC/Discord interactions - whether it was as a fellow member in GPA/Rose or as a dear friend in SRA (CN), CoS, Valinor, ASM, TKR, etc, it's been a wonderful 10 years of experiencing Red's humour, charisma, and wit. Always bringing smiles, laughter, and a genuine point of view. One of the best I came across, to end it off: If I missed any of your favourite Red moments, please share!

  30. I wasn’t aware of Red’s untimely death until this morning, just after arriving at work. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I have just gotten home to type this and it’s really starting to sink in. Red was a one of a kind dude and made a huge impact on me over the many years we had come to know each other. We would confide in each other and have a few laughs all at the same time. I had known him for a long while in my time playing Politics and War but we became extremely close when I joined Church of Spaceology in 2018. He was a loyal ally when we shared common goals and always my favorite person to interact with when we found ourselves on opposite sides of a war because he was always a good sport whether he was winning or losing. Although he may be gone I will never forget him.

  31. Redarmy is still in our hearts and in how he shaped us for the better. No man is perfect, but he sure came damn close. I fondly remember the times we'd go to Sheetz and just talk about the day. I also remember when we'd play EU4 with our comrades, and how him and I would make diplomatic deals regarding northern Italy so I could form the tag and he could be the cool Savoy. And the time he brought himself and friends to Gettysburg, and would talk at length about the battle and the Civil War in general - he reenacted, and knew a lot of cool Civil War songs. Red taught us to remain true to ourselves and be kind and compassionate towards all. He taught us how to be strong without spiraling into rage. His compassion and kindness showed no bounds. He brought me to Pennsylvania to have a home, driving for countless hours just to help a friend in need. We'll never meet a man as wholesome as Red, but may we all be more wholesome because of his life and how he touched us all. Rest in Power, Red. You're with God and John Brown's army now.

  33. No, I don't care if you're anti-TKR. But that's not the same thing as anti-hegemony like you guys are claiming.

  34. If you want to count this one, then I'll give you once but the jury's still out imo. 😉 Our tie with Celestial was temporary but I'm not upset with getting hit over it. Will call you all out on your shit if it's just TKR getting hit over it though in the end. Would make it very clear it's not anti-hegemony and more anti-TKR.

  35. I don't generally reply to allies or indirect allies regarding these subject matters however you caught my attention for your lack of overall understanding of how these processes work. 1. Firstly we lost mate, we were going to have to make some concessions in the end 2. I personally fought for yall very hard on this subject matter until we reached a middle ground. At the end of the day alliances and spheres have to measure the worth of staying at war vs the peace terms on hand, so once we found a soultion that worked for the majority of your alliance and clock, it was taken. In fact these negotiations took up the better part of a whole week, so effectively the entire sphere was fighting on your behalf for a entire week. Stomping your feet is just disrespectful to not only your alliance but every member of Br who argued and fought for you during this time 3. Lastly, the economic benefit from the gain if the color bloc will allow GATO to grow faster and recover. The rules for getting members back to the main AA are very simple and fair. While I understand it's not exactly convenient or preferred, it is the term your alliance overwhelmingly agreed to

  36. Orbis pls dont kill me for suggestion lmao I think that the amount of steel required to manufacture 1 tank should be lowered. Currently it requires 0.5 steel to produce one tank lets assume the price of 1 steel average is $3000 The price of 1 soldier is $5 I read somewhere that a tank is the value of 40 soldiers (please correct me if Im wrong) so with 1 steel you can make 2 tanks which is 80 soldiers and $6000 now 6000/5 is the equivalent of 1200 soldiers. (I seriously doubt one tank is 40 soldiers, its probably much higher but whatever) You see the problem, right? Tanks are extremely expensive to manufacture, and not worth the cost compared to a bunch of soldiers OK, SO IT TURNS OUT YOUR NUMBERS ARE BULLCRAP AND TANKS GO BRRRRR] Even in a scenario where 10K tanks easily beat 200K soldiers because I failed to do basic maths or missed out on one specific variable/formula: Tanks are still incredibly expensive and costly maintain, I mean moving to 5553 and getting your tanks to max would require thousands of units of steel, which is incredibly costly. This is especially a problem for nations with lower city counts and low incomes. So, I think the amount of steel required should be lowered from 0.5 to 0.25 or around that range, possibly even lower. As you can see, I am incredibly unconfident in this post but uh YOLO. I probably broke some hidden forum post rule Idk, poorly executed bye.
