  1. Hello! I'm working on a game timeline to fill my boredom over the Holidays. Since this will be a big task. I opened up a Discord to ask the community for help. Inspiration- I'm a big 2b2t Player and 2b2t has a timeline for the server. Its manly for historical purposes but New Players do look at it for knowledge. -How it Works- Each Event Has Date Description Link (To Wiki Page/Forum Images? (Need to Find them first 😅) Discord - https://discord.gg/Y5csKzXEau (What I have done) 1ish hours ago I checked the dates. If it doesn't seem right please let me know. This is very early in making. It should turn out relatively similar to the 2b2t one below.

  6. The Meat Men Declaration of Existence Two men, Jack Mosby and Thomas the II, found themselves in a butchery working nine to five, two weeks ago they had swore an oath of brotherhood. They had become fed up with mass abuse of power led by the corrupt government. They had gotten many men alike, and declared independence in the butchery. They formed the butchery into their headquarters with the meat there becoming symbols of the revolution against the corrupt government. Their declaration of independence had even gotten many members of the corrupt and abusive government to join the side of justice. ‘’We the people of Meat Men declare independence as a united people against tyranny, we have tolerated abuses and now cannot stand it. We the people of Meat Men, declare the nation as a meritocratic republic for the people and by the people. The nation is independent from those who have fought us and we shall fight those against us. We believe the nation should be free in all ways and we declare it the right of the nation to free the people for the duration of the nation. 7. I actually didn't realise rose was only a few weeks older than tS. All of tS's early founders were technically members of Rose for a week or so before tS officially founded as Rose gave us an umbrella to shelter under whilst we formed etc. But yeah, for some reason I just assumed rose was a good bit older than tS. I'm pretty sure I've still got a couple logs with keegoz and pub on a long forgotten IRC account giving me a history lesson on this game up until November 2015 now that I think on it. I seem to remember most of the chat revolved around Abbas being being blitzed every war via missiles back in the day when 1k infra was a substantial amount of infra 🤣

Nation Link: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=583 Ruler Name: Placentica Nature of Violation: War Slot Filling https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=1159437 They have declared war, for no other reason than to cry about a war that happened in the past, without the capability to actually wage a war. While they may not have the intention to do so, it has lessened the number of defensive war slots I have available, at no cost to me.

  12. i think, it will be good if after a war is over the winner has some options like- -- Loot( the usual thing, like the winner gets loser's resources) -- Disband Military( it would reduce all military units(except spies, missiles& nukes) by -30% and cost of building new units +10% for next 5 days)( though the losing nation gets more days in beige)( not available during raids) -- Sack Cities( heavy infra penalty in all cities and infra cost +5% for next 5 days) -- War Reparations( Winner gets 25% of losers net monetary revenue for 5 days and any grants from the alliance bank are not possible for the next 5 days) ( not available during raids) I think this will make war endings more dynamic and losing wars will have a long term effect.

  16. Sorry if these are getting somewhat spammy. Will reduce their content a bit. Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Totals): Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Averages): Summary: Now that all attacks from Alpha have been undone, Clock got yet another huge boost in military from the C31-40 rank that freed up a lot of nations back to max mil. This looks good as over.

  17. 🦀 ALPHA IS GONE SPECIAL EDITION 🦀 Updated 12/22/21 ~1:30 AM GMT: City-By-City Membership Count: Military Strength: Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Totals): Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Averages): Summary: Two interesting things happened between the last report and this. One -- Rose double bought at update and mass suicided dogfights and attacks, so respect to them. The other is that Alpha was exposed for being a huge multi ring and are essentially out of the war, which is CRUCIAL because they were in the tier that Rose was pushing in. Without their nations and after the double buy, you can see a visible decrease in Rose's share of the plane count between C31-40, and the positive change Rose gained C41+ is likely temporary. I don't like calling a war early, but if I had to call it know, it almost certainly seems like Clock are on the path towards victory.

Updated 12/21/21 ~10:30 PM GMT: City-By-City Membership Count: Military Strength: Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Totals): Military Strength Comparison Graph (Based on Averages): Summary: Quite an interesting one, I think -- Rose has at least stayed even or made a bit of headway around the C31-35 tier, and tiers in which it outnumbers Clock are beginning to show less signs of change than before. Although the lower and highest tiers look mostly decided, still lots of work to be done in the middle-upper ones.

  20. [DoE] [RoH] [DoW] You know my methods, Watson. Epigraph: A DoE, RoH, DoW, and everything else your brain could think of rolled into one. DoE: It was a cold winter’s evening. Holmes was sitting around a fire with a cup of Earl Grey, warming his toes after a long evening of crime-stopping. The mystery of the vanishing woman had been a tough one, but nevertheless, he had cracked it. Watson suddenly burst through the door. ‘Sherlock!’ he exclaimed. ‘I have a new mystery for you.’ Holmes leapt to his feet in excitement. ‘What is it?’ Sherlock demanded. ‘Has Vice lost his reading glasses again?’ ‘Probably,’ admitted Watson. ‘But alas! This is something far more exciting.’ Watson grabbed Holmes by the scruff of his neck and pulled him outside, spilling Holmes’ tea. Despite madly protesting about this unseemly manner in which to move him into the cold and his now abundant lack of hot drink to keep his nerves in check, Holmes was forced into the coolness of London. Standing before him was Mrs. Hudson(s) and Inspectors! And they were all in need of a new home. RoH: On 19/12/2021, the Clock bloc hit Bayou Brothers VooDoo. Dismayed at this tawdry action, Baker Street decided these actions were not to be tolerated and thus recognises hostilities with those who call themselves Clock. DoW: Because of the atrocious actions towards Bayou (or just bae idrc), Baker Street formally declares war on Clock bloc and wishes them the best of luck over the next few days of warring! Extras: To Aurora - Kan this is because you ignored me: TL;DR - Micro declares existence, recognises hostilities and declares war on an entire bloc! Signed: Holmes - Big Mac Watson - Thomas Mrs Hudson - Peelsj Mrs Hudson - RyanK Mrs Hudson - Dungeon Nerdy

  21. Give nukes a 50% chance to destroy a city. Not just the infra but to actually delete a city. Make people think twice and have a real reason to go to war. Would make the game actually interesting. Meaningless wars after every NAP expires is a boring gameplay loop. There has to be real consequences. Maybe interesting politics will actually develop then.

  27. Nukes deleting cities is quite honestly a veeeeery bad idea, it would render every viable war strategy, absolutely pointless within a short amount of time. Imagine going through the effort of suppressing a specific score range of nations against all odds and the suppressed side just lobs warheads that knocks you and your friends down three tiers. War would be pointless and nobody would want to wage it. 50% chance is very high especially if you have more than two offensive slots filled and I think that's unfair to everybody who worked hard to even get past 20 cities. Of course, wars IRL are pointless and nobody wants to wage them due to potential nuclear warfare ending most life on the planet, but P&W shouldn't be a reflection of that.

  31. I was just about to make a report from one of my other wars, so I'll just put it here since I assume it is the same issue. In this war (https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=1156462) I just launched 3 air strikes: So I should have just spent 12 MAPs and be at 0. Yet the war page says that I have 2: I don't know how the server was when Sphinx launched his attacks, but it was really slow when I was launching mine, so that might have something to do with it. I can also confirm, from the other side, that my war against Sphinx also displays him as having 6 MAPs rather than the 0 he should have. Don't know if that info is useful, but figured I'd mention it

  34. While the men of the Tojo-kai were busy draining the Swamp, they came across a group of people talking in an Irish-American accent, carrying a dead rabbit on a pike. Despite mistaking them for hooligans at first, it became clear these men were indeed themselves fighting the swamp-dwellers. The Yakuza admired the efficiency of the men with the Dead Rabbit, downing men after men with surgical precision. The people with the Dead Rabbit in turn, were impressed by the individual prowess of their Japanese counterparts, taking out scores of swampies through sheer might. After the first wave of Swampies was taken care of, the two groups exchanged greetings and the Yakuza invited the 5P to Gindaco Highball Tavern for some Welsh Onion Takoyaki and Blood Orange Highballs. Idle chatter between the two soon turned into business talk. The Yakuza wanted to get a foot-hold in the Americas and an ally in the hearts of New York City sounded like a wonderful idea. The Dead Rabbits on the other hand wanted to invest capital into real estate in Kamurocho and Orbis hills sounded like the best place to invest their money. Seeing profit for both parties in a mutual alliance, the bosses of both factions decided to sign a pact of brotherhood and help each other whenever they can. Tl;dr- The Dead Rabbits and Tojo-Kai enter into an Optional Defense Pact. They also both agree that RON did 9/11 Signed for Tojo HQ Isjaki, Chairman of the Tojo-Kai and Patriarch of International Smuggling Signed for The Dead Rabbits Bosses of 5P Dede#2907 JaxTeller

  37. When Orbis as a whole decided to move to the minispheres model, the idea was to seek ‘political flexibility’. By political flexibility, the idea, I believe, is that the blocs don’t fight the same set of enemies in every global (like IQ vs EMC or Syndisphere vs Paracovenant) and fight different blocs based on changing political objectives, or maybe even for plain fun. Indeed, the ideal minisphere world would be one where we have short, fun wars like Surf’s Up, where all the spheres act mutually independently and don’t try to play world police. Unfortunately, not everyone seems to believe in this version of minispheres, least of all Lord Tyrion, leader of TI and one of the most important people in Oasis. Attaching some screenshots below, all of which are publicly available in RON. The implication is clear, TI, and Oasis as a whole, are willing to play world police and intervene in wars they have no business intervening in based on how ‘threatened’ they feel. Multiple normal blocs will coalesce into single super-blocs when external pressure is (seemingly) applied. Wait, there’s more. Apparently, Tyrion’s definition of minispheres are rather different from what most of us think. I am sure there might be some of you reading this, thinking, “Hey, this is exactly what minispheres are! Why is this bad?” This is bad because, in the past, most wars have been tossups and milcom actually had to work hard to ensure victory, coming up with tactics like tier-locking, planes only etc. Over the last few wars since NPOLT, it has become easy to predict the eventual victor from the first few days. While this obviously means that competence has taken a hit, this also means that those who have been starting wars have been exploiting minispheres to hedge their risks. No self-respecting alliance leader in this game will greenlight a war these days unless they have a reasonable degree of assurance about the outcome. Thus, wars naturally tend towards being ‘uneven’, if not outright dogpiles. The price is paid not by the experienced Orbisians, but rather, by the new members, the bloodline of the Orbis community who keep the game alive. As the new members VM or quit due to fighting against unrealistic odds, Orbis as a whole is worse off. Okay Isjaki, we get it, minispheres have failed to work as intended. So, what is the solution? Once again, we go back to our good old friend Tyrion for his opinion. That’s right, going back to a duopolistic Orbis is our best option. Wars will be drab, standard and boring, yes. But at least, both the sides will be more or less ‘equally’ matched, and competence, not numbers, will dictate the outcome. “That sucks, Isjaki” you say, and I agree, it absolutely sucks. Unfortunately, we can’t have nice things, since Oasis has made it clear that they will seek secret treaties. When one bloc makes it publicly clear that they will seek secret ties, other blocs naturally have to seek secret ties of their own (or get rolled out of the way) until we end up with a duopolistic Orbis. Rather than having a glorified 2 sphere world, united by secret treaties, maybe it would be better to have an actual 2 sphere world.

  40. Last recorded log of fanatic cult leader, Thrax (self declared spaceman), to his personal journal: I fear my time has come. The Koolaid fountains have dried out, and our reserves are dangerously thin, almost empty. The people, my wangs, they have grown dissolutioned with my orders to limit Koolaid consumption. Already so many have abandoned ship but those who remain have become starved, the withdrawal symptoms have driven them to madness. Those who left, they called me a liar, a cheat and a false prophet. But those who are left thirst for the Koolaid. My sweet wangs, my followers, I fear they may soon come calling for the Koolaid pounding through my veins. With nothing to wash down the bagels, they become oh so thirsty... Very well. The time has come to feed my sweet wangs. Oh sacred Bocephus, first of his name, give me strength. I only wish ripper would sit upon my lap one more time before I go. One final time: I am become Koolaid, destroyer of Wacky-mallows. Peace. In case you didn't realise it, CoS is disbanding. We want to thank our friends Soup, Seven Kingdoms, The Knights Radiant and Sanreizan for a great time. We couldn't have asked for better allies. We also urge all the participants of the war to end things before there are any more casualties. CoS disbanding came as a direct consequence of this war and nobody should take war to the extremes of destroying a community. We wish all the best to those still fighting and hope you end this thing sooner rather than later. To the ex government members of AK, we thank you for fueling our alliance's existence purely through sheer will and spite to prove you wrong. It was most beneficial, now however since you're also gone our spite dried up. Guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. Cheers all! Tldr: despite our best efforts, CoS is no more.
