Notorious Outlaws Declaration of Existence Mexifornia and Sojourner slowly dismount their horses and saunter through the swinging doors into the Saloon. They walk up to the bar, scanning the room. A silence falls as they order a round of whisky. Sojourner lights up a smoke. He glances around the room, picks up the shot glass with his gun hand to show his peaceful intentions, then throws back his head to down the whiskey. Mexifornia, a little uneasy, thinks he sees a gunslinger‘s hand move towards his gun. Mexifornia pulls his revolver from his side and fires around in the air. Everyone flinches, turns, and stares at him. Mexifornia, with a raised eyebrow, shouts “You know who I am? I'm the most feared Outlaw in the land! This here town is my territory and if you are looking for trouble you’ve gotta be the best gunslinger around, just to stand a chance.” He shoves his gun back into the holster. Two men slowly get up, Joe Anderson and Death Valley. They stare into Mexifornia’s eyes as they make their way towards him. “Not in my bar!” The barkeep exclaims, “outside, all of you!”. They all push through the doors and walk outside. “There is one way to solve this,” remarks Death Valley in a low rumbling voice, “A duel!” People run for cover, mothers cover the eyes of their children as they see the outlaws draw their revolvers from their holsters. No one makes a move. Sojourner, eyeing the situation, thinks and says “Let’s come to a mutual agreement. Join us and we can ride together." Joe Anderson glances at Death Valley, who slowly nods his head. Sojourner stands up and walks over to the three men, his cigar dangling from his mouth. “Looks like we have an agreement,” he says, shaking the hands of all the men. All four men mount their horses and ride off into the sunset. They all say together, “We are the most Notorious Outlaws in the west!” as they vanish into the horizon. They will be back, partner! Hey Everyone! So I recently came up with an idea, I believe it is a good one however some of the leaders may not cause of there precious tax farms. However, despite New Pacific Order no longer being a player in the game I have a proposal to the community. When nations are blockaded, they can't trade. This is common sense. But when they are blockaded, they can pay taxes. Transferring there nations revenue to the alliance bank even resources. My Idea TL;DR = Make Blockaded Nations not be able to pay taxes. (Sounds worse than it sounds)3 points

I'm going to play devil's advocate some because it's fun. I think this is a weak CB. You wanna punish past IQ gov? Fine. I still don't want to see any NPO decision maker return, so I can understand the sentiment. However, all the decision makers in Camelot left the alliance just weeks ago. Epi is the only one really left. Arthur went elsewhere, George went elsewhere (although to his credit, he did try to undermine Coalition B). Epi is still left and he's done a wonderful job giving everyone on this !@#$ called Orbis a reason to swing at him, but the time to punish Camelot for being an IQ collaborator was before all they key people jumped ship. You had 18 months to exact vengeance. Speaking of: Huh? Was there some glitch that prevented members of your bloc from declaring war in-game? I mean, just off the top of my head: -Camelot's Rosian allies were distracted when we hit WTF and friends during one of our Crusades. -Half of Mystery was distracted during Guns and Roses. -Camelot was getting pounded six ways to Sunday back in July against a bunch of random alliances. But even these examples kinda don't matter. A year and a half is a long time even by P&W standards. If you want to make something happen, and you can't get it done in that timeframe, that's a failure on your part. And this is really the post that inspired me to make one in this thread. Flavee's post is basically him saying that what Nexus is doing, is that they're punishing IQ. That the OP of this thread - which is pointed towards Epi but benevolent towards the members of Camelot - is false or misleading in some way. He's saying that you guys should go after all former IQ members and not just those in Camelot to be consistent. Your response to him is to say "well, all I see in Camelot are IQ members, and also they're all either evil or stupid." Okay! Look, I'm not against whacking former IQ members for the past allegiances, but it's kinda weird to say this right after saying you guys have "no ill" towards them in the text of your declaration of war. --- I don't support Camelot and I'm not against Nexus, but upon further inflection, this war is a bit silly (or, at least, the politicking around it is). You want to punish Camelot, but the old guard are either gone or stripped of gov. You name drop Epi and blame him for this war, but then say that's 'simplistic and disingenuous' to say that's all this is about. You say you have no ill towards the members of Camelot, but then say that they're either 'complicit' to some agenda or that Epi is successfully misleading them. Correct me where I'm wrong. I consider myself neutral. I'm just pointing out where me, a dumb third-party, are seeing some issues with the narrative here.3 points

i would think that is closer to the intent of the blockade, since the point is you wont be able to move your resources, and if your taxes are set to 100% that just means you are moving all your resources off nation, with our without blockade, I would be good with this change.2 points

This actually makes sense, it cuts the alliance off from the resources of that nation so they can’t tax it during the blockade and benefit. It’ll force alliances to break the blockade.1 point

Can I commit war crimes against your alliance and leaders with no repercussions to my own alliance and then report you if you deny me? asking for a friend1 point

Edit: nvm, it got peaced. War link: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=1069556 I believe its against the rules to declare on someone in your own alliance, correct me if i'm wrong. 20m19s ago: Biohazard left Cataclysm | HEIR 09/15 02:17 am - Biohazard declared war on Seven Seas for the reason of "I'm real sorry man". 09/15 02:23 am - Biohazard applied to join the alliance Cataclysm. Something went wrong! You've received the following error(s): That nation, Seven Seas, is currently involved in 3/3 defensive wars. Please wait until at least one expires before declaring a new war.1 point

my only questions are: why is it so expensive if it is so inaccurate? why do we need this? what stops me from using a nuke instead if they deal more damage and are cheaper?1 point

Deus Vult for the raccoon pope, take that you disrespectful Lazurus Cultists and wanabee pirates, I'm guessing there's more we haven't been told, since they've done way too much bad during this war, making me realise why we shouldn't have trusted them when Holy Sea was first proposed1 point

I'd agree this is war slot filling, thanks for the report. In this context, these nations are probable allies, and these wars fall under what I would consider "sending attacks with minimal units to appear to be fighting a war." These were both Raid wars, so if the attackers' true intent was to steal as much loot as possible, they wouldn't have sent such minimal units. Just because they fought the wars to completion does not mean that it can't be war slot filling - it seems clear that the intent was to fill the slots to protect the nation from being attacked, and then give them beige time to continue to be invulnerable to new declarations. I will issue moderation strikes against the two nations that committed the war slot filling violations. EDIT: Also a reminder that this is a no discussion forum, and I've already issued some warning points to offenders in this thread.0 points
