  1. Let Them Be Found Putmir and his legions had just returned home from their desperate attempt at defending their treasury, at the time home of some of the most valuable artifacts in the world. The battle was a hard one, but they fought with dignity. Meanwhile, elsewhere in Orbis, The Order and it’s armies had been resting, after fighting two large wars back to back. The memories of fighting against the legions of The Lost Empire still in the minds of many of the soldiers. But one thing they did remember, is how well they fought, the fierceness they showed, as well as their polite surrender. So they had the respect of The Order that’s why they decided to give it a shot, and we present to you the: Let Them Be Found Accords Article 1: Non-Aggression The Lost Empire and The Order, hereby referred to as “the signatories”, pledge that no acts of aggression will be taken against the other, for any purpose. Article 2: Aid The signatories agree to provide economic and technological assistance to one another, within reason. The signatories also agree to work with a combined vision for greater growth among both signatories. Article 3: Mutual Defense The signatories pledge to defend one another both diplomatically and militaristically if any outside party takes up arms against either signatory. In the case this article is invoked because of obligations to a third party by either signatory, articles 3 and 2 become optional, but still encouraged. Article 4: Optional Agression The signatories agree to allow the other to join on any of their respective war efforts, and also agree to coordinate in any mutual conflicts. Article 5: Cancellation Should either signatory believe this treaty no longer serves their best interest, they must give the other signatory 72 hours to prepare for cancellation, during this period all articles save Article 2 remain in effect. Signatures For The Order: Boyce the Great, Conqueror TigerFire, Inquisitorious Lord Vader, Grand Inquisitor of Foreign Affairs Thomas, Grand Inquisitor of Economics PeelsJ, Grand Inquisitor of Milcom For The Lost Empire: Ocean Master: Putmir Imperia: Dullard Legatus of Diplomacy: Xi Jinping Legatus of Economics: Waterwall Legatus of Internal Affairs: Henrik Legatus of Military Affairs: Germanicus TL:DR: The Order and The Lost Empire sign an MnDoAP

  5. The smell of charred earth rises to our nostrils as we overlook the landscape. We’re standing on a hill, overlooking vast plains of nothingness. A truly nightmarish sight. To think the last war could possibly result in such a cataclysmic event. “Base! Rebel!” a young Dream calls as he rushes towards us. “Yes?” “They’ve arrived!” As Rebel and I turn to face the newcomers, a smile forces its way through my stony expression. “Leftbehind...good to see you as always.” “Likewise. Is everything ready?” “We were merely awaiting your party’s arrival.” We’re all gathered here following the collapse of both our civilizations. Despite our many differences, the devastation caused by the last war has proven all too clearly that our strength would serve us better if combined. A Prophet of the Light had proclaimed the end of time and the Children of The Light had taken his words to heart but my own people and I only saw folly. What use is this Light in the face of our technology? Looking back now, I wish we had combined our strength sooner. As the final member of our triumvirate joins us on the hill, we begin the final preparations to finally unite. No longer will we be known as a cult and it’s virus friends. No...after this, we will be known as Cataclysm in honour of those we lost along the way. In remembrance of the truth of this world. One cannot survive alone... Tl;dr: Error 404 and Children of the Light merge into one as Cataclysm. Alliance link: https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=7452

  8. Mercyboarding was fairly standard with CN GOONS. I don't really see the harm in it; but then again, GOONS in PnW was configured to be the TRUE VILLAIN in IQ and actually make NPO etc look good by comparison.

  10. Congrats! Way to rebound TLE, well deserved treaty. I know TO wasn’t the only one after a treaty either, that speaks volumes. Keep up the upward trend!

Nation 1: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=346671 Nation 2: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=346990 Created Alliance: https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=8847 Unique ID: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/unique/id=346671 Trade History : https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=346990&display=trade Nation 1 Creates alliance named "Temporary" and gives leadership to an NPC that has not even attempted to develop any cities in his nation (Nation 2), Nation 1 is also funneling money through $1,000,000 food trades constantly. these nations share the same ID and should be forced to verify.

  17. Currently it's not possible to track trade profit/loss with a script for nations that purchase resources for consumption. It would be helpful if there were a comment box or check box to mark which trades were for consumption and which were for trading.

  23. The folks from Error have been teaching us backwards neo-Luddites all about the wonders of technology for the last couple days, I feel like a tribesman from some remote jungle in Papua New Guinea being shown a cell phone for the first time. Now I just need to figure out if there's a bot can make my wife come back to me, please Susan it's been 3 years I just want to see the kids

  26. You could couple it with pollution maybe. Polluting above a certain threshold means some land becomes unusable, similar to how actual pollution irl works. But i'm all for providing fleshed out ideas and having people vote on those first instead of just "land changes yes or no" without actual proposals on how it'd look like. The community has endured a lot of sudden, messed up changes that upended the meta overnight so buying a cat in a bag like this isn't really appealing to many.

  27. I started this game as a fun thing to keep myself and my friends occupied at work/home. Hours turned into Days, Days turned into months and months turned into a year. Now I find my nation at roughly 620 days old. I've been in many alliances. Avengers, Camelot, The Blitzers, and Error 404. I've made many friends and enemies. Don't know what else to say. But, Thank you. To my Friends at Error 404. Thank you. To Base, Borg, and Dyana. Thank you for giving me multiple opportunities to be Gov. To make this interesting. I might be holding multiple giveaways before I officially leave. I am giving away everything that I can. (Mostly all money) If you would like to win. Stop by WYN's Discord See ya!

  28. I dislike this idea greatly. With the coding that has existed for 6 or 7 years, it has been so land was a safe investment that couldn't be destroyed or stolen. For this reason, some people, I included, have spent tens of billions over half a decade in something that you could keep and not lose. Making land destroyable/lootable is equal to being able to steal cities. If a change like this was to be implemented, you might aswell make a new game instead. I am glad so many think like I and the voting is heavily balanced towards no.

  32. I told you if I got bored this would be a multi-part series. If you missed Alliance Edition you may click that and read. Last time I covered some things that I would consider generalities but that I've noticed the community at-large has neglected. Now I'd like to take a dive into more specific areas of alliance functionality, starting with the area I've spent the most time in: Foreign Affairs. So firstly what is Foreign Affairs? Foreign Affairs, as it pertains to a nationsim, is any particular alliance's efforts, either implicit or explicit, to influence other alliances. Often this is in pursuit of a goal such as a treaty, bloc, favorable disposition, favorable coalition composition, creating or breaking apart a sphere, initiating a merger, extorting value, or making peace. Foreign Affairs has a myriad of applications and is really, like most things in a sandbox game, only limited to the extent of one's imagination. For the purposes of this rant I'm going to break down foreign affairs into a few categories. Explicit or Hard FA, Implicit or Soft FA, and Public Relations or non-targeted FA. Explicit FA also called Hard Diplomacy. This is the bread and butter of most ministers and leaders, the nitty gritty discussion of where we go from here. This is usually considered highly opsec and expected not to be shared when it occurs. OPSEC is a term we use for top-secret material and conversations, by the way. For raiders this can often be seen in negotiations with victims for protection money or extortion. For others this can mean peace negotiations during a war, treaty talks, discussing concrete issues in an attempt to resolve them. Explicit FA is what people expect when it's time for business and it's important to be able to have these conversations with the right kind of professional tone. Too nice and you may come off as too weak, too harsh and you may be rebuffed. Professionality is key in these moments. Implicit FA also called Soft Diplomacy. For many in PnW today this is the mainstream diplomacy tactic. Business is for business hours and I'm on discord to relax unless I am forced into doing my job as the FA person. This may include simple things like jokes, gaming, random chatter, or even playful roasting. Almost imperceptible from normal hanging out with a friend if you're good enough. Implicit FA is the gateway to Explicit FA. Where you are building relationships in order to soften an approach or resolve a problem that would normally have caused an incident. Implicit FA also isn't as irregular as explicit FA, being necessary to maintain the relationships and ties already established. Explicit FA may be where the business happens, but implicit FA is where communication can make or break you long-term. Public Relations and non-targeted FA. The true long game. Attempting to establish a reputation for your alliance, not only within your group of allies, but across Orbis. Yes, this is where I'm going to rant about a lack of forum content. Alliance announcements, small OWF posts (like Rockefeller Rants), and general engagement in a public and permanent place off of discord is an important part of FA and alliance image outside of actual FA circles. Public communication not only builds and maintains your own reputation but the communications offer opportunity to interact, publicly, with other alliances in both a constructive or destructive manner. Both of which are necessary to a healthy political meta. Just some surface thoughts. Curious to hear what you guys think of FA.
