  1. BABAI has exams in 2 weeks and he will not be active till August. BABAI already has a list of war dodgers he has personally vetted. He will begin the nuking of these people on 6th of August to celebrate the events that lead to the formation of his favourite anime grills(which incidentally coincides with BABAI'S birthday). But since people have asked me to nuke war dodgers, I'll just do something before exams. The first nuke will be launched today on the nation of Brightland. We have confirmed he is a pixel-hugger to the core and hence deserves to be nuked. I hope that insurance pays you well Shashwat. After this, I will be going after Mexifornia. Is he a pixel-hugger? I really don't know. But does he show signs of going pixel-hugger? Heck Yes The third target is yet to be decided but Zurg has asked me if I can do Deraj next. Well he does have a lot of infra. The current streak will continue till the 8th of July(cuz exams). The funds for the current pixel-burning have been contributed by a lot of people, especially Rose. But I'm afraid the funds might dry out soon. If anyone wants to help keep BABAI going, please consider donating to BABAI WHALE FUNDS, a fund created specifically to make BABAI into a whale. 10% of funds in this scheme go towards nuking pixel-huggers as well! Your "apology" was literally, "I'm sorry my in-game actions had negative real-life repercussions for people. But hey, at least I didn't do all this other OOC stuff that no decent person would ever do anyway." I believe you are sorry. Sorry that your actions had consequences, but not sorry for the actions themselves.

  18. I feel like you and I got kinda close during everything and we talked Abit. Despite you being the leader of GOONs I felt that I was able to portray my thinking to you. You seemed like one if the only people in regards to OD proper that were willing to negotiate and talk on an actual level of calmness and things were able to move forward. I can not comment on the mercyboarding as a lot of it happened on another game entirely with the same community and leaked to here. It doesn't make it ok that it happened however, I wasn't here or around for it specifically. I may be a sucker for second chances as I gave Anna one aswell, but in my opinion, despite being the leader of GOONs at the time, you were never an issue. You're tainted by role and name. I think if given a chance, you could make a new name for yourself if everyone was willing.

  19. From conversations and threads created during the last couple weeks/months I've compiled some ideas regarding tweaks to the war system/spy system based on feedback. These changes (besides spies) are much smaller and fewer than usual, I hope that's a good sign. Planes doing Bombing runs When performing a bombing run damage dealt to defending planes is reduced by 33% (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE DOGFIGHTING) The idea is that the target is blowing things up that are not planes. If you're sending 300 planes at 100 planes to bomb tanks, you may get an Immense Triumph but you're not going to kill as many of the 100 planes, and you'll lose more of your planes than if your goal was dogfighting. Reduce ships killed by bombing runs against navy by 10% Ship vs Ship Increase ships killed by naval attacks by 10% Changes that have not been introduced yet but are on the way The February update thread found HERE shows some changes to missiles/nukes/Iron Dome/VDS. These changes are still coming, along with spies being able to hit an additional missile chance. Spies Reduce Spy vs Spy casualties by 20% Create a method where spies can be rebuilt without losing spies without those spies contributing to espionage defense/offense (reserve/active system) Should nations be able to have units spied away while in beige? NOTE: Except for "Changes that have not been introduced yet", these are not confirmed changes to be made. This is a discussion based on feedback from the war to see if these changes (or others) should be made. Thank you

  20. Is there any controversial bully that you won't defend Firwof? I don't know if you remember Goons but they were truly horrible. They would troll and be toxic, flame and insult but then report mild offenses on others and hope to get their nations banned. They truly were a despicable alliance and their garbage continued into Ministate and then into ANO. Really come on man, grow some fricking balls and call out their shit. NPO and Goons were shitty. About the OP topic though as always I don't care if anyone rejoins the game. If the apology is sincere or not does not matter to me. Personally I think any from Goons/NPO should be allowed to rejoin if they want to but that is just me. Others obviously disagree and the reason why Firwof is because of the toxic cesspit that was Goons.

Yes sometimes life will frustrate your well-laid plans, but your immediate reaction to a poor turnout is to ping your supposed audience to admonish them for being "too lazy" or even too busy to play the game(s) you wanted to play... I type this as actual life advice. It's ok to be frustrated but you are exhibiting classic lashing out behaviors that indicate a lack of emotional maturity. Life doesn't have to be a battle, buddy. Try to limit additional content beyond the scope of what is in this thread. Thank you. Trading Treasures Treasures can be directly traded between players. Treasures cannot be traded while either nation has an active offensive or defensive war. A nation with a treasure already in it cannot trade for another treasure. City/Project Timers New City timers are not effected by projects. New Protects have their own timer of 10 days (120 turns) City timer resets are reduced by 1 credit to 3 credits. Project timer resets cost 1 credit. New Projects Research and Development Center Effect: This project provides two project slots (net: one additional project slot) Cost Cash: $50,000,000 Food: 100,000 Aluminum: 5,000 Logistics Center Effect: Opens an additional trade route for Commodities Cost Cash: $5,000,000 Food: 25,000 Uranium: 5,000 Aluminum: 5,000 World Trade Organization Effect: Opens an additional trade route for Commodities Requirements: International Trade Center, Logistics Center, Space Program Cost Cash: $20,000,000 Food: 250,000 Uranium: 15,000 Aluminum: 10,000 Gasoline: 10,000 Spies Casualties Spy vs Spy casualties are reduced by 33% for the defender on a successful op, and attacker for a failed op. Missiles Spy attacks against missiles have a 25% chance to destroy an additional missile. Soldiers 5% increase is casualties from soldiers fighting soldiers. 33% reduction in tanks killed by soldiers. Soldier only attacks/defends kill too many tanks. Tanks Tanks ability to kill planes after gaining ground superiority reduced by 33% 15% increase in casualties to soldiers by tanks 10% increase in casualties to tanks by tanks With soldiers killing less tanks Planes 25% increase in tanks killed by bombing runs. 10% increase in planes killed by dogfights Ships 10% increase in ships killed by ships. New Attack Type: Bombardment When a nation is blockaded naval units can bombard a city instead of performing a naval battle. This attack destroys 33% less infrastructure This attack destroys 2 non-power plant, non-military improvements in that city. If there are only power plant and military improvements, this attack kills no improvements. This attack costs 50% less gas to perform. This attack costs 50% more munitions to perform If a bombardment attack happens while the defending nation has defending ships, the casualties caused by those defending ships is increased 25%. Example: If you attack with 200 ships and they have 50 ships defending and those 50 ships were going to kill 20 attacking ships, in a bombardment attack they instead would kill 25 ships. You must use at least 75% of your max navy when performing this attack max navy is determined by the number ships you could have if all of your cities had max dry docks, not how many dry docks you current have If you have 20 or less improvements in a city this attack will only kill 1 improvement. If you have 5 cities or less, this attack only kills 1 improvement. Nukes Nukes can now kill 4 improvements per nuclear missile. 2 of these improvements are "general" improvements and have a chance to be any improvement. 2 of these improvements are any non-power plant, non-military improvement. In the event there are no available targets, it bumps up the target list. Effectively if someone only has power plants and military structures, the nuke will destroy 4 of any improvement. Missiles Missiles can now kill 2 improvements per missile. Missile Launch Pad allows a nation to build 2 missiles per day. Iron Dome Reduces the amount of improvements killed from a missile by 1. In addition to normal effeccts Chance of blocking a missile reduced from 50% to 30%. Vital Defense System Chance to block a nuclear missile increased from 20% to 25% Reduces the amount of improvements killed from a nuke by 1. The improvement category this blocks from is the non-power plant, non-military category. Quality of Life Alliances can only have 1 treaty between them. Alliances have the ability to create up to 8 alliance positions, 5 more than the default 3. All alliance roles will come with a check list for which powers those positions have. Bank Access Changing Roles Ability to see spy counts Ability to see daily reset timers (time zones) Editing Tax Brackets Accept new members View member caches Alliance Trades offers also show in the global trades. These trades will show in a different color Expand leaderboards Increase the leaderboards from top 10 to top 100. Alternatively, include all nations in the leaderboards (suggested filters, upon talking more with Roberts: active, non-VM players, perhaps also with a filter to exclude the brand new nations that only logged in once/haven't built up anything). Allow for a search by discord handle Send an automated email to players with nations emerging from vacation mode after an extended period of time. Allow for an option to hide trades of embargoed nations/alliances from the market.

With the previous war having recently wrapped up and the current one just beginning I'd like to start a general discussion thread of what needs to be tweaked besides beige mechanics, that will be its own discussion later. Posts about beige will be deleted to avoid thread derailing. This thread is more for things like "Spies still kill to many spies", or "Air should kill less ships", those sort of tweaks. All combatants please share your thoughts and I'll work with the dev team and Alex to implement some tweaks down the road. Thanks! List of changes to consider (Being updated as we go): Spies kill too many spies Perhaps need to up spies produced per day Perhaps need a protected way to rebuild spies

  31. Hello O R B I S, I am the former leader of GOONS (yes, that GOONS). That left the game of their own volition after it became clear that Morningstar wouldn't be able to offer me the protection that I would need to continue playing the game in any capacity. I've since kept a relatively quiet profile, logging in here and there to double check on my nation and occasionally popping into discord. There are some weird misconceptions that I wish to clear up before going any further; 1. Why didn't you delete and reroll? A. I'm not hiding my previous actions as if I'm an innocent, that is wholly unfair. 2. Why weren't you banned? / I thought you were banned? A. I never partook in the harassment of @Alex, giving him a heads up when people found his address (he already knew) and actively attempting to get the collective membership of GOONS to stop reporting the game on Google Play. I was never banned, nor moderated against for anything that occurred during NPOLT. 3. You mercyboarded people!! A. You're right, I did, and so did my alliance. At the beginning this practice was viewed in the lens of humor and eventually after entirely legitimate complaints from both allies of GOONS and the community et al, we changed the way the process worked. Although we still practiced "mercyboarding" we tried to keep the requests funny and light hearted and avoid OOC breaches. Additionally, Alex had previously asked (and received) screenshots of our mercyboard chat room. AFAIK this was fowarded to the proper authorities to ensure that any violations were dealt with as required by the cyberbullying task force. Specifically; I was never involved in the "DOG FOOD GUY" or "CAT FOOD KID" (these happened in another game, well over 8 years prior). Although I did rehost them upon the request of GOONS membership which I admit was a bad look. 4. What do you want? A. Short answer? To play a nation sim and build cities / carebear. I have no intention of bringing back GOONS or Opus Dei. I have no intention of tracking down former OD members and creating a coalition. OD is dead and should stay dead. Any resurrection of those alliances should be met with brute force. Onto the important stuff; As I previously stated I am not going to hide who I was or what I did. I'm not going to make OOC excuses for how I acted (although plenty exist); but I am going to offer an apology and a pledge to be better. I enjoy this game, and always have. I apologize to people who were doxxed by GOONS, NPO, or Opus Dei. Although not by my direction; my direct lack of action helped create the environment that Opus Dei flourished in. I apologize to people who may never read this as they have left the game due to being placed on Kill-On-Sight lists by Opus Dei. I apologize to those I was close in KERCHTOG with for not using the political weight of GOONS and myself to end the war before there was damage to the community. I apologize that the point of the war became one of community damage. I cannot change the past, and I will not try rehash it. I can only post what I remember of my role; and what in my hindsight was going on. Although I may feel that some of those actions were completely justified I am certainly guilty of many times forgetting that we are all people on the other side of the screens and that the things we say, post, and do to each other can sometimes have drastic affects. Which should always be the first determining factor in how we interact with each other moving forward. I, like Anna, would like to use this thread to respond to any questions, feelings, or thoughts you have still have on this. As for now, I'm going to slowly begin to rebuild the infrastructure of my nation and hope that Orbis can forgive my actions and more importantly give me a chance to prove that I am sorry.   35. Classic Havgle, assume w/o asking background. If you actually scroll through thy channel, you'll notice that we were planning an event for a while that not many signed up. Even with plenty of time given for activity sign up. Wouldn't you be a little frustrated if you took tine to plan an event, advertise it over a set amount of time,& get barely anyone to respond w/in set timeframe? (We planned for a whole week and then gave another week to sign up). You're horrible even scummy at trying to bring people down that makes you fully cringe. It's even worse that you enjoy others in harm's way aka you're a schadenfreude(German terminology that's treated as a mental illness). Definitely not something to be proud of ya cringe master damage-joyster
