By far the most common mistake new players make is building farms. And while I usually think allowing players to do dumb is a good thing, a slightly gentler approach should be used for new players. And in particular the games tutorial should not be actively directing new players into doing dumb things. So two things need to happen. 1. The objective to build a farm should instead be made into an objective to buy food and have explanation of why farms are bad. 2. Attempting to build a farm below 1.5k land should require confirmation that they understand it is a terrible idea.1 point

Some developments regarding this: We had a member start at 4 MAPs, naval once, who did not use the "Attack Again" option but rather exited out, did another naval, exited out, and it still put him at 4 MAPs in the end. So no waiting at 12 MAPs and no "Attack Again" and yet managed to use 12 MAPs in the space of 4. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=9558851 point

Hello people, its me, an ex member of ASM (I left on good terms), Stairner. I've formed an alliance called The Alexandrian Council, and was wondering if I would be accepted as a protectorate for around a month while the alliance builds up, thanks1 point

Shh... he left on good terms. If I recall correctly, you are looking to be made a protectorate, not to get one.1 point

Interesting, I concur and understand. It is extremely odd indeed. This also happened when I had more than 2 times my opponent's navy. Granted, it did eventually give me an IT but it required my opponent to have 53 ships to my 150 (opponent is c-11 to my c-10). When my opponent had 71 ships to my 150, it only gave MS still.1 point

You're a war dodger, who would *want* to risk resources like that?1 point

This statement is half-true half-false. Since the servers cannot use decimals(0.1, 0.5, etc), the numbers are bumped to their nearest integer. If I'm not wrong, the multiplication of the 0.x factor happens on the raw number of ships you use. Based on it, a 1 ship can have a max values of 1 ships(rounded to 1). You'd need atleast 4 ships to secure a IT(3×0.4=1.2, rounds to 1, giving opponent the victory in offensive wars you declare). Basically, you need to figure out what numbers you need to get to minimum value to get guaranteed IT.1 point

I believe you've mistaken this thread for the old RL picture thread. I would have chosen a more flattering picture if I were you. that one makes you look a bit upset.1 point
