2. Oh get off of your moral high horse Raoul, you were in a position where you had the power to do that because Arrgh allowed you to be there.. don't mistake that. And the text that follows, the shallow understanding you have of Arrgh shows how much of a mistake it was to let you be in such a place. The first purpose of Arrgh is to provide an escape from the chains/restrictions/obligations of other alliances and as long as it is doing that it is serving the purpose it exists for, you could've killed the in-game alliance, sure, but the people who share those ideas would always be around, that part is beyond your control and that is the part that matters more. The point where I could take it as a joke is long gone.

  3. I will answer This Post was onto me so I will surely answer , I first would say that this post is made by a rival of mine , not hate but kinda enemy in the game , secondly the 13 year age discord had happened I admit it was by my account but I should tell that my Bros were using the acc who r older and I thought they weren't using Discord or pnw real/test and till then they would admit 10 cause they are and I am 13 , I had said that it was my brother's fault but no one cared , And Yintel , Titan and Meme god (states of Tyson) are my rivals in test so they would say that probably . Nextly the comment having !@#$ was me try horribly joking and I admit that I was wrong I shouldn't have writed that , so I also edited my post . If ya want me to send my birth certificate I can surely send , But I wasn't clear on discord to verify my age like that also I wasn't home so I couldn't । As sir alex said about verifying he is right , but as this question is about me I would like to give a proof of needed .

  4. Just rig the elections every time, smh. Personally, my democracy has a very strict guideline for voting whereby only people of the zigbigadorlou class are allowed to vote for the new zigbigadorlou. Thankfully, only the zigbigadorlou, currently zigbigadorlou, can vote for this prestigious position. addendum: you could consider adding a head of state, like the queen, as a non-elected position.

  8. No. How does everyone feel about separating the timers and making them each 7 days, with a 2 Credit timer reset cost for each instead of 4 Credits for both? Note, that would allow someone to build 6 cities at once basically because of the 10 Credits / month limit.

  9. On this day, precisely one year ago, an alliance by the name of Oceania was formed by two men, and some pocket change. Unlike most alliances nowadays, we decided not to declare existence 2.5 milliseconds after forming. Since then, Oceania has become a tight-knit community full of unique and friendly members. Since the start, and along the way, we have made enemies and allies alike. At this time, Oceania would like to thank those that have stuck by our side over the past year: TKR: You guys have been the best protectors and friends we could ask for. You have stuck by us through all of our highs and lows, and never demanded a thing from us besides loyalty and respect. Both of these you have earned in droves. Thank you all ❤️. The Imperium/The Order: Though we may not have communicated very often during the days of The Imperium, I feel our relationship has developed in a very lovely way now as The Order. Thank you guys for being solid, caring allies all the while. Chocolate Castle: Though our relationship may have been somewhat tumultuous at times, you guys have been with us as a fellow TKR protectorate for a year now. Thank you all for the support you have given us, and the good times we have shared thus far; may we have many more in the times to come. Name Withheld: [REDACTED] ❤️ Additional thanks to any ally that I didn’t directly name. Also, thanks to any enemies, and/or those that perceive us as enemies, for making our jobs interesting. Edit: Please for the love of god stop thinking our theme is “the Ocean.” There is a vocal minority of people that believe this and it drives me crazy. We are based upon the book “1984” by George Orwell. You know, only one of the most well known books of all time. I swear some of you guys are illiterate or something, smh. TLDR; Oceania declares existence after 1 year.

  10. My last forum post got me most liked for a day. SO in the spirit of forum posters everywhere I decided to milk it and thank you all for making Ampere Orbis's first shitposting agency the most valuable company in Orbis history. I want to not only thank our investors but also our clients believing in us when there are so many other options. Over the weeks we have collected over 4.6 trillion dollars in sales and we are sitting now with 2 trillion dollars in liquid assets and trillions more in investments. Thank you all so much for making this possible and we hope for your continued business

  11. I would suggest a change to the beige mechanic. It is my belief that part of the idea of being forced onto beige after losing a war was to give the beaten nation a chance to rebuild their military somewhat. As it stands, others are still allowed to spy a nation that is on beige. I think that any nation on beige should be immune from all attacks, including espionage attacks. That is all.

His alliance was ravaged from the onslaught of Arrgh, their forces desolate and depleted. They searched Orbis for another place they could call home. They stumbled upon Ad Astra, their long time friends from their time under House Stark and TCM. The 2 alliances rejoiced, aligning their spines as one. TLDR: The Ronin Empire merges into Ad Astra. I'm being held hostage by Deraj he made me make this post against my free will

  20. From a complete outsiders perspective, having joke wars declared is not uncommon and I have been accused of slot filling when I declared a joke war once. Alex told me I had to either continue on with the war or peace it out for him not to give me a strike because it was clearly a joke declaration. So from Alex's own perspective, if you peace it out it isn't slot filling because you aren't holding the slots for Rebel to do anything. If Rebel really did intend to deposit or trade or do anything, he wouldn't have accepted the peace after 1 minute of the declaration. He wasn't plotting anything.

  22. Dude, why would you report someone not being 13 on Discord? If he wasn't able to make another account, he would've had no way of contacting the friends he had on Discord, and he would've had no way to use Discord when it was needed. And now, you're reporting him in P&W? Because he's UNDERAGE? Please, think about your actions before you do them. How would you have felt if you were him, and now, because of some random troll, you're not able to play a fun game, or contact people on Discord.

  32. Anything to improve the tutorial please. That thing is awful and is not only overly wordy, really misses the point of the actual game. It just hand holds the player through each page without really doing anything. Not to mention the actual verbiage and layout (UX/UI) of the game could be changed to make things simpler and easier for new people to pick up the game and get up to a level of "decently competent". As much as I would like to be an elitist, without lowering the barrier to entry to playing the game; while not lowering the barrier of quality drastically; we can't bring in enough foot traffic to combat natural attrition of players, but also not add to the community which is the actual driving force of the game. With your specific points Roberts, I don't necessarily agree with railroading a player into an alliance right away, part of the tutorial is taking them to the recruitment page. I do believe that the emphasis should be increased to get anyone joining to join an alliance, but not necessarily to make that the first thing and ignore their actual education with the game itself. A player should primarily be familiar & comfortable with the game they will be playing; hopefully every other day, during their stay. And your point about the grant for cities, I don't agree with the specifics, but I do generally agree with the idea I would prefer if new players started with some sort of "base" city they can then edit and grow, rather than starting from zero. Some specifics about the tutorial, it's too linear so if a player skips a step they have to redo it for the game to count it as completed. Also could you add some NPC nations that a new player can war with? Or possibly some mechanic where after a war they go to beige automatically to rebuild with some bonus, for maybe the first month. So a new player could war right away, and then if they don't like getting creamed they can get a breather and rebuild. Taking them out of *half* of the game for the first 2 weeks seems silly. Someone that isn't already joining as a friend of someone else already playing is going to miss half the game for 2 weeks, when most people are going to drop the game in the first day or three. They should get a taste of winning, and losing a war as soon as possible in my opinion. I'd even go as far as making it part of the tutorial. Reset their nation afterwards if you must. Just anything to improve that aspect of on boarding. I could list a hundred things to improve or add to the tutorial, but in general I think any handful of experienced and driven players could write a much better tutorial. Education & player retention really just goes along with the theme of what I personally believe should the forefront of game development. I won't back off of my strong stance that thing should be tested though. Why not throw up the tutorial on the test server so even older players can try it?

  33. Why is RNG good? Too much RNG and you're just all playing separate instances of a lottery. So obviously pure RNG is bad. And no RNG would be chess. Given the spectrum, I would err to the side of chess with other human players, than a lottery.

  34. I won't comment on the first part, but the second is I hope just a tongue in cheek joke from you. I'm not actually advocating personally for bounties to be removed like OP. My intent was simply to throw out suggestions for changes, and give my unsolicited 2 cents about the hierarchy of priorities for game changes. Someone completing a bounty should always get paid the bounty. Changes to how or when could be made so there doesn't need to be any moderation and it is automatic. No game breaking exploits if those existed. But something should be done so that a mechanic that is in the game can be used fully & properly if it is to continue to exist. Otherwise if it is cut off at the knees, going against the entire point of the feature (to get money posted for winning a war against a specific target) in favor of fair play (whatever ruling that I still don't honestly know the history of involving bounties not being paid to people), then it should be removed if it is causing such problems. Simple as that. If Mr. Scarfalot is lying, and bounties have always been paid out correctly to all nations who have ever completed them, then I retract all of my statements. But bounties should work properly or be removed. Having a half baked feature around because people sometimes talk about one aspect of the game on discord or use it as a joke is not proper justification in my book to keep it around. My other ideas were just spit balling because I prefer freedom & versatility of game mechanics to allow players to decide the politics & metagame. Also one quick point in my word soup; I'm very much in favor of things being documented and do not appreciate players running into a wall because something wasn't specified. So any aspect of bounties that can not be clearly read & understood in-game should be changed or documented. No exceptions.

  35. I know they are used, but they're hardly used that often. I was being hyperbolic when I said 'never used'; the point I was trying to express was on holding on to certain game mechanics vs. reworking them.
    1 point
  36. Could we not just put a delay on when a bounty is posted and when it could be collected? Yes some people might then "abuse" (air quotes because they would simply be using it) to get money when blockaded, but it's the same logic as declaring on a target who is blockading a nation in order to break their blockade on a third nation; you would declare war on another nation to get money when one nation is having you blockaded. The actual usefulness of a blockade is to stop someone from getting resources to defend (like munitions, gas, or steel) or moving those resources or large amounts of cash off their nation to someplace safe. All this would do is allow someone who is otherwise blockaded get some amount of money. It's no more broken than simply using a credit to get out of a pinch when a nation would otherwise be "blockaded" and with a credit you can get resources too. Something beyond the scope of a bounty. I still am not really a fan of how bounties work in general, but I would be in favor of something being done to make them useful or removing them. Keeping around a vestigial feature just limits gameplay changes in the future and confuses players. Yes a new player isn't going to instantly understand all of the meta game in year [current year] without some experience or interactions with the community, but features that are never used shouldn't remain simply to have them around. They should be reworked. If we really wanted to try and make bounties more useful, more features like being able to set a bounty for any alliance member in an alliance for a period of time; any nation in [x] alliance that's defeated in an attrition war will win the nation 5million for example. That would make bounties insanely more useful, and political. Nations that win should always get their money (I don't know where it goes if they are blockaded) so they should at least be able to get it later (maybe make it standard that they're paid as soon as they're out of all wars? That would be a funny mechanic, to keep a nation at war so they don't get an influx of cash they've built up. That would be an insanely interesting "abused" mechanic). An open ended bounty system like that would have its own problems, but honestly with a couple of checks, I think it would only add a few interesting ways for drama to happen.

  37. Add the option for secret bounties. Only paid out once the conditions are met, but you don't know what the conditions are/how much it is. Maybe just hide the payment. Seems like that would be funny. And I think humor is the highest virtue for deciding these sorts of things.

  40. I didn't reply before since that again really goes against what I thought was perfectly clear was my message in the other post; but it goes to show the steadfast spirit of human ingenuity and stalwart ability for the mind to piece together and form patterns & webs of thoughts that create a narrative where they think they are right. tl;dr It is fine (air quotes and an asterisks on that one) that you have your own take; but I do not agree. To be blunt my post was about people interacting (reacting with up or down reactions, quoting, replying, or in any other shape or form engaging with) with that dude because after the first few honest exchanges, is it clear to myself that he is not either conducting himself properly or knows what that means (I can't decide what % of it is for show or a troll and what % is real). By engaging with someone who you feel is only a negative aspect on the forums, you are only furthering the decline of the quality of discussions that can be had here. really too long; didn't understand Don't reply or react to posts of people who will not take a hint or adjust themselves to the community's standard practices at large. Anyone doing so is actively contributing to the decline in forum quality that they most likely are also complaining about really too long how dare you write more than a sentence; I don't get it buddy could you just post a meme? Stop interacting with bad posters.

But while I agree in part; I do think multiple threads, one after another, that I believe each were just originally the same exact take just in post forum in the appropriate thread, is too much. There is a proper balance that needs to be struck for forums to be an enjoyable & positive addition to the community.

  44. I would say start small with just the separation of project and city timers; If you really wanted to, increase the limit before timer kicks in to 12-15 cities as Keegoz suggested. While I think the 4 credit cost to reset timer is almost never worth it, I don't think being able to buy 6 cities in one day is a good idea. Unless you cap the amount of times you can reset your timer in a month, I would leave the cost alone.
    1 point
  45. Maybe just the project at 2, city remaining 4 or 3. since while some projects can be powerful, if some alliance upbought their soldier 6 cities on a war at the end of month and then upbought 6 more at monthly reset that would just be way too abusive IMO And 6 on its own can be pretty heavy too especially in the lower mid tier.

  46. I wrote this for Rose, right before I leave. But I figure some other people don't have a proper FA dept set up, and honestly the more people run FA well, the more interesting the game becomes. So here's a guide with all the juiciest parts removed. The job of FA is to win the wars. Milcom addresses the tactical part of wars, what to do, when, where, how. FA addresses the strategic parts. FA determines who is on whose side. When there's a threat, FA should find out first. When the alliance or coalition is in a bad place, it's FA's job to disarm, delay, or dig them out of the pit. It's common practice to put the most extroverted person in FA. But often much better to put the most cunning person. It requires a lot of problem solving, mostly in regards to people, and a lot of those problems don't always have solutions. I would break down the job of FA into three tasks: Public relations Personal relations Wartime communication Public Relations PR is effective for almost everything. In almost every global war, the alliance with the lowest PR often loses. People want to feel good about wars, they want some moral backing behind something as risky as starting a war. It's politically cheap to hit someone who isn't very well liked. Being in a popular alliance increases internal morale and war performance. And it attracts people from outside the alliance who are looking for a new home. Once wars end, you'll get better terms if you're a "nice" alliance. It's difficult to place harsh terms onto a popular alliance. Don't dismiss the opinion of alliances that aren't on your side. If anything, they're the ones you want to influence. PR is pretty simple. Just don't do things that make you look bad. This seems obvious, but surprisingly many violate this. Don't insult people when you get nothing out of it. Or even if you want to be an ass, be an enjoyable one. If you can just maintain some slightly positive public presence, you'd be well ahead of the curve. You do have to handle false accusations, especially on the OWF. Be careful not to lob false accusations either - this harms your own credibility and makes you look salty. If your members are being idiots in public, reel them back. Vocal members determine an alliance's image more than their gov sometimes. Encourage the good shitposters to shitpost. Personal Relations In a world of conflicting treaties, the treaty with the deepest connection takes priority. If an alliance has two treaties on one side and two treaties on another side, they will join the side they like the most. If two allies are being equally attacked, they often choose to defend the ally they like the most. Build friendships, very real ones, and build them deep. If you have a choice between having lots of friends and having good friends, go for good friends. Most of the real conversation goes on in private chats. People don't want to say personal things in a public chat room where everything can be seen and screenshot. Try to get access to as many private chats as possible. This can be as simple as a joint channel or even playing a game together. For the same reason, forum embassies matter a lot too. Heavy topics require lengthy responses. Smarter leaders want to think and reread what they say before replying to a controversial topic. Forums are the best place to ask the hard questions, especially to enemies. I find them far more effective to figure out an enemy's motives than sending spies. People will treat you the way you treat them. If you want people to do favors for you, do favors for them. It's also important not to ditch people when they're doing badly. If anything, people will often remember the favors you do for them when they're in a bad place. Wartime FA's job is handling the grander strategy during a war. If you're expecting a war soon, you might want to keep in updating allies to arrange fast counterblitzes. Every hour counts between getting hit and countering. FA monitors how allies are doing. They pass down information from allies to milcom. It's milcom's job to assign nations to help allies. FA keeps the flow of information running smoothly so that milcom only needs to worry about assigning targets. FA monitors the status of enemy coalitions as well, to see whether an enemy alliance is going to break, or whether they're doing unusually well. In the early stages of a war, this is vital so that the resources are funneled to the right fronts. And when initializing a war, please post a CB. There's this trend of not posting CBs recently. CBs strengthen your side's will to fight. A good CB means that your members and your allies will stay in the fight longer and the enemy's side is more likely to capitulate. CBs don't have to be very strong. But they should be there so that people don't just think that they're being manipulated for some personal grudge. In peace talks, be respectful. Make active effort to understand what the other side is thinking. If the opponent feels you empathize with them, you're much more likely to come to an agreement. Treaties Every treaty has resonating effects. Every alliance you sign will please some and displease others. Every treaty comes with their own baggage and possibility of chaining you into a war that you don't want to be in. More treaties do not make you safer. Aim for high quality allies, not quantity. Mergers are, in general, not good. They'll give you more score, sure. But many mergers are also a stability hit, some bigger than others. You'll be forced to take on some people you may not want and can't kick. You'll often have to give out some gov positions too. The mergers that work usually try to fill out empty gov slots, not add new ones. Protectorates are an investment. Don't protect someone just because they're a friend. Protect someone only when you're going to help them succeed. Ideally a good protectorate will also be someone you fear or admire a little. They're alliances that you think can grow bigger than yours. If you think these guys are just going to fail, then do them a favor and don't protect them. If you're going to splinter and start an alliance, make sure you fill the gov slots really quickly. The new alliance buzz wears off in about a month, and if it's not a rocket ship to the Top 15 by then, you're just trapped with a lot of responsibility and little fun. The strength of an alliance is not by its numbers and stats, but by its leaders. Great leaders can change the stats really quickly and make the most out of what they have. Don't just look at the person at top. Their high and low gov line ups matter a lot. Remember that many alliances are not just led by gov, but also some people who choose to remain general members or low gov.
