  1. I'm trying to figure out how this topic moves you closer to peace. I'm also trying to figure out how this moves the peace process beyond the constant whining about procedure that has taken place so far. Of course if you were actually engaged in something called 'negotiations' regarding the terms as they come up, that'd be great, but that's not happening at the moment either. Evidently, you like the current state of things, and don't want peace. So be it. I'm comfortable watching your members delete in frustration (R.I.P. G Nation) and your alliances slowly die. Are you?

  2. Hello everybody! TODAY I have decided I would do something special for the top 40 alliances as the owner of On Mark News Network! I am going to write a poem for every alliance that is in the top 40! These poems represent their alliance theme or represent what they are known of but some poems would be about the names and not the theme because I cba to learn 40 alliances in 1/2 days. PS: I have wasted a lot of time on this because I don't wanna disappoint anybody! I want it to look good for the alliances to be proud of their own poem so I hope you like it! If you see it cringe, bad or anything like that then I would love to hear your feedback on how to make my poems better! 4. Let me begin this by saying I am not the one who has the condition forcing me to walk away. I want people to know that it is not my own health that has led to this decision, but the health of an extremely close relative. With that being said, and with the name of this announcement, it is undoubtedly clear what this is, but I will say it anyway. Earlier today, I received devastating news that a very close relative of mine has been diagnosed with what they believe to be cancer. It is this news that has led to my official resignation from the position of Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the Syndicate, a position I was honoured to share with @Agent W. I would like to thank @Prefonteen @Leopold von Habsburg@Shiho Nishizumi@Dionysus@Theodosius@Batavus @Lucasand many many more in the Syndicate for seeing some kid who had made mistakes that haunt him in NPO's Last Time, and then made more mistakes in the Commonwealth, and chose to accept him to their alliance. It was a brief period of time that I have spent in the Syndicate, but it has been an amazing time, and I thank each and every one of you, and many many more for giving me the chance to prove myself. I would also like to thank @Sphinx@Putmir@Yui and many more in the Commonwealth for convincing me to return to this game after NPO's Last Time, when I fully intended on walking away and never again touching this game. I can not tell you all the depths of my gratitude that you allowed me to have a second chance after the mistakes and horrible decisions I made while as a member of the Black Knights. I thank each and every one of you for the friendships you allowed me to make in this second chance, and I thank every person in this game who has treated me with kindness and respect and understanding. Although it pains me to think of those mistakes I made, I know I need to again mention them, because I will not run from or hide from my mistakes. I won't deny the things I did, and I won't pretend the pain I helped cause does not exist. I did serve as a member of the government of the Black Knights for NPO's Last Time, and it was indeed under my tenure as a member of government that the worst atrocity committed in the history of this game occurred. I was willfully ignorant of the cheating that occurred, ignoring those who told me it was occurring. I did not stand against members of government when alliances were killed and nations were forced to quit this game. I stood by while friendships were destroyed, and pain was caused, and while I did not do nothing, I could have done more. I should have done more. I know there are those who can not and will not forgive me for these things, and I understand and accept it whole heartedly. I can say nothing more than this. With every ounce of my being, I am sorry for the things that occurred. My apologies will not take back the things done, it will not change the past, and it will not make the hurt go away. It will not bring back the alliances that died, it will not bring back the nations that were lost, but I need to apologize regardless, because now, at what I believe will be the end of my time in this game, I will not leave without accepting the depths of the pain caused by an alliance I was at one point proud to say I was in the government of. I have nothing more to say, save for this. I pray with all of my heart that this is not the end of my time in Orbis. I pray with every ounce of my being that the news I was given was a mistake, and should it not be a mistake, I will fight with every fiber of my being to do all I can to help my relative recover from their condition. I hope beyond hope that I will continue to play this game for years more to come, but if it should be that this is not the case, then I thank each and every one of you that I have met in this game, for giving me an experience over these three years that I truly believe will stick with me for years to come. Thank you all once again. I love you all. Imperator Tarroc of Imperium Romanum.

  5. THE CHARTER OF THE INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF ORANGE NATIONS PREAMBLE The Nations of Orange united in their commitment to the Republic and encouraged with the will to renew, and strengthen their existing Union, in liberty and justice, to serve peace inward and outward and to promote progress and growth, have adopted this Charter. ARTICLE I. (The Republic) The Independent Republic of Orange Nations is an aristocratic republic. As such it is established and guided by the principles of meritocracy. ARTICLE II. (Sovereignty and the IRON President) The sovereignty of the Republic is vested with the IRON President. The IRON President must, in its exercise of sovereignty, preserve and protect the honour, integrity, stability and the well being of the Republic with any and all means at its disposal. The IRON President has absolute power over the affairs of the Republic, but may at any time and at its discretion delegate certain of these powers and responsibilities. The IRON Council is formed by the President and is subservient to the President. Once appointed to the IRON Council, the individual Councillors serve the Republic indefinitely or until such time as they tender their resignation. An IRON Councillor is accountable to the IRON President and can be removed forcefully by the President. ARTICLE III. (Membership) A nation that has applied to join the Republic, shall pledge its loyalty and devotion to the Republic and to the IRON President by submitting the IRON Oath with its application. Member nations accept that membership in the Republic is incompatible with membership of any other alliance, and as such forsake all other alliances. Member nations are bound by an oath of confidentiality and may not reveal internal or confidential information regarding the Republic to any party outside of the Republic. This oath remains in effect even after the member nation ceases to be a member of the Republic and is effective from the moment its ruler is granted membership. ARTICLE IV. (Violations) Any member nation found to be in violation of this Charter, the IRON Oath, Rules of War, any other law of the Republic or the spirit inherent there-in shall be subject to punitive actions decided on by the IRON Council at its discretion. ARTICLE V. (Charter changes) Changes to the present Charter are subject to the review by the President. ==================================================================== APPENDIX A. THE IRON OATH, COMMANDMENT, AND VALUES FULL TEXT OF THE IRON OATH I vow to faithfully, honestly, and honourably serve the reigning IRON President and his legitimate successors, and also dedicate myself to him with all my strength, ready to sacrifice all, should it become necessary Furthermore I promise to my Commanding Officer and my other superiors respect, fidelity, and obedience. This I swear! I [Rule Name] of [Nation Name], swear I will observe faithfully, loyally, and honourably the above IRON Oath. May the almighty Administrator, Alex, and His gracious moderators assist me! ==================================================================== APPENDIX B. The IRON Ten Commandments FULL TEXT OF The IRON Ten Commandments 1. Thou shall not have any other allegiances above the Republic. There are many alliances in P&W. If you are a part of IRON you are a part of no other as long as you fly our Alliance Affiliation. 2. Thou shall not recruit from within the Republic. If this Republic is no longer for you, post in the resignation area. You may not ask your buddies to come with you and make a new alliance whether you are still a member or not. 3. Thou shall respect others race, sex, religion, color, creed or nationality. The Republic is a very diverse group. Respect your IRON brother. 4. Thou shall honor the Republic, your Council, your Squad, your Nation and yourself. Conduct yourselves in accordance with the values of the Republic. 5. Thou shall honor your trades commitments. It's standard practice to give an advance notice to your treasury auditors when you wish to change production resources. 6. Thou shall fight when called. The Republic is one of if not the freest alliance on Orbis, but without this we might as well not even be an alliance. 7. Thou shall not cheat. The Republic does not cheat in any manner. Stay within the TOS of the game. 8. Thou shall not spy. This works with information going both into and out of the Republic. The Republic will not use such tactics to win a war. We have many ways to catch you. 9. Thou shall uphold the IRON values. 10. Thou shall have fun. President has the final say and judgment on all rules and punishment. Violation of these rules could range from an eye roll to removal. The rules may change at any time without notice. ==================================================================== APPENDIX C. IRON Values Our ethics remain the foundation of the IRON Alliance. In turn, our ethics rests on a bedrock of our IRON values; Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. It reflects the high standards to which the entire Alliance adheres, regardless of its mission area. Just as the IRON values guide the thinking, behavior, and professional ethos of every member, so will those same values guide the actions of those who support and lead them. The priorities we set, the efficiencies we gain, the continuous improvements we achieve, will be attained in keeping with our IRON values. We will continually measure ourselves and our success by our adherence to those values. Loyalty Bear true faith and allegiance to the IRON Alliance, the IRON Military, your Squadron and Alliance brothers. Bearing true faith and allegiance is a matter of believing in and devoting yourself to something or someone. A loyal member is one who supports the leadership and stands up for fellow players. By wearing the IRON Alliance Affiliation you are expressing your loyalty. And by doing your share, you show your loyalty to your Alliance. Remember, IRONers fight for each other, loyalty is that commitment. Duty Fulfill your obligations. Accept responsibility for your own actions and those entrusted to your care. Find opportunities to improve oneself for the good of the group. Doing your duty means more than carrying out your assigned tasks. Duty means being able to accomplish tasks as part of a team. The work of IRON is a complex combination of missions, tasks and responsibilities all in constant motion. Our work entails building one assignment onto another. You fulfill your obligations as a part of your Alliance every time you resist the temptation to take shortcuts that might undermine the integrity of the Alliance. Respect Rely upon the golden rule. How we consider others reflects upon each of us, both personally and as a professional organization. Treat people as they should be treated. In the IRON Warrior's Code, we pledge to treat others with dignity and respect while expecting others to do the same. Respect is what allows us to appreciate the best in other people. Respect is trusting that all people have done their jobs and fulfilled their duty. And self-respect is a vital ingredient with the IRON value of respect, which results from knowing you have put forth your best effort. IRON is one team and each of us has something to contribute. Selfless Service Putting the welfare of the IRON Alliance, your Squadron, and your subordinates before your own. Selfless service leads to organizational teamwork and encompasses discipline, self-control and faith in the system. Selfless service is larger than just one person. In serving your Alliance, you are doing your duty loyally without thought of recognition or gain. The basic building blocks of selfless service is the commitment of each IRON member to go a little further, endure a little longer, and look a little closer to see how he or she can add to the effort. Honor Live up to all the IRON Values. Honor is a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity and personal courage in everything you do. Honor provides the moral compass for character and personal conduct in the Alliance. Though many people struggle to define the term, most recognize instinctively those with a keen sense of right and wrong, those who live such that their words and deeds are above reproach. Honor is demonstrating an understanding of what's right and taking pride in that reputation means this: Live up to all the IRON values. To be an honorable person, you must be true to your Alliance and live the IRON values in all you do. What is life without honor? Degradation is worse than death. Lieutenant General Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson Integrity Do what is right, legally and morally. Be willing to do what is right even when no one is looking. Integrity is a quality you develop by adhering to moral principles. It requires that you do and say nothing that deceives others. As your integrity grows, so does the trust others place in you. The more choices you make based on integrity, the more this highly prized value will affect your relationships with your Alliance, your Squadron, and also, the fundamental acceptance of yourself. Personal Courage Personal courage has long been associated with the IRON Alliance. Facing moral fear or adversity may be a long, slow process of continuing forward on the right path, especially if taking those actions is not popular with others. You can build your personal courage by daily standing up for and acting upon the things that you know are honorable. Courageous leaders are willing to look critically inside themselves, consider new ideas, and change what needs changing. Personal courage isn't the absence of fear; rather, it's the ability to put fear aside and do what's necessary. It's the bravery that allows an IRON warrior to take risks in combat in spite of the fear of infrastructure loss. ==================================================================== Signatories JadenStar10, President of IRON, Interim Minister of Internal Affairs, and the Vault TheRealMichaelJordan, Vice-President of IRON, and Interim Minister of War Blade 619, Advisory Councillor, and Community Liaison Hideri Kanzaki, Secretary of State Discord Link Forums Link Alliance Link

  6. Now that I'm banned, I figured this was something that should be done. I'm not mad or annoyed at Alex in anyway; what I did was completely wrong, and a ban was incoming. I do regret what I did, which is why I didn't deny anything that Alex questioned me about. I wish none of this was even necessary, but I made a mistake that I need to pay for. Please do note that everything I did was my responsibility and mistake alone; I would hate to see people unfairly blaming KT for something that they were completely unaware about. I know this in no way makes up for the immense wrongdoings I've done, but I hope it's at least a start. It's been nice being in this community for a year. I know many of you will rejoice that I've gone, and I can't really blame you for that. I'm far from a good person. I'll miss some of the people I've met here. -Yang

  11. Would have been an interesting twist if that nation is also given the option to buy out that bounty at 3X the value (just as another resource sink). I.e. I have $100m accumulated on my nation, I can spend $300m to remove it (unless I am already in a war).

  12. First off, you don't need 6 coal power plants. One can power up to 500 infrastructure, so you need two of them. Next, you might want to buy a bit of coal on the market to jump-start you. This, along with decreasing the amount of coal mines you have (because they need coal to work), should get you set up nicely. You can also check if you're losing coal (which I'm assuming is the most likely case) on the Revenue tab (between Projects and Military in the sidebar)

  14. What you're describing (bounties being used to transfer cash to someone blockaded) was the reason that you restricted bounty payouts to wars that started after the bounties were posted, as I recall. (Which was fair, for exactly those reasons.) Besides, bounties are only about the 3rd best way to send cash across blockades, and one of the other two is credits. So, bruh. I've suggested it before, but I'll give it another shot here: Instead of being a binary "win while unblockaded to get bounty, otherwise no bounty at all", allow bounties to remain in their phantom escrow state but "claimed" by whoever first accomplishes the bounty criteria, payable as soon as they break their blockade. That way, people aren't frustrated by investing their resources into a bounty hunt, only to get shafted by a wholly undocumented mechanic. Thinking about it, perhaps you could also encourage warfare by implementing "natural bounties"... like, every nation gets a little bit of bounty added to them every day, based on their city count. It wouldn't be enough to warrant attacks often, but someone with 40 cities avoiding wars for 3 years straight would start to look really tasty... :3

  15. Okay let's be honest steel/iron is basically useless in the current meta-game. Now I am in a country in which I can't mine or make bauxite I get it's tied to your continent[1] which you can produce, and after making multiple cities it's still the case so I assume it's a nation thing, which is fair like oil/coal I get that. However unlike that disparity which makes your nation feel more unique and put a higher meta-game into trading. There is no accurate parody between iron and bauxite to account for the randomness. So I am a iron producing country and I like many nations are looking for military expansion. and I see tanks creators require bauxite so you know I don't pick that. I see hangers use steel so I'm glad assuming I can make planes with steel which makes sense that's what a lot of them are made out of. I should note going in I know I'd need to import oil/gasoline to power it, and I have a lead mine so I got that covered. I don't like importing oil cause it means it's unsustainable meaning if I got closed off to the market for any reason or in some case I wanted to go fully independent I can never do that since I can never produce the gasoline necessary to power the planes. So I do wish I could do something else but I get it's fair it gives strength and weaknesses somewhat and I accept it, so I buy some off the market[2] and make the hanger with my 10 steel. I'm ready to use it to make some steel airplanes and what do I find when I go into to make them I can't because it requires 5 bauxite, by the way not mentioned anywhere in the description, actually none of the material requiring military mention their cost per unit in their description only the cost to operate: I guess you're supposed to like on them to figure it out in the cost menu[3] but I don't think that's really a good idea cause I know other players will be like me and assume they don't cost any material to produce and make one without seeing the material cost and getting frustrated when you go to build your shiny new tank or plane to find it needs more materials than what you signed up for. So that's another little thing that could use fixing just put something like However in the current description is does not mention this disparity only mentioning gasoline and munitions which I stocked up on for this exact scenario. When I said I didn't like disparity between oil and coal because it makes my country unable to gain independence from the market because I have no way to reliably make gasoline without trading? This is quadruple the case when I can''t even make basic weapons without resources I *can't* produce. it makes it impossible for me to make a reliably staffed air force and tanks require bauxite to make the tank maker at all. This it makes it impossible for me as iron producing player to reliably or independently[4] get any tanks or planes at all leaving my army terribly short, I really do not like this and wish there was some way for me to make another military unit without having to import 90% of the materials from other countries, I wish to be able to make a independent nation without entirely depending on help from the market to make a single tank or plane. Okay I should note Navy fighters which I guess is supposed to be the counter argument, it 1 still requires bauxite though I guess more fair, it too requires gasoline something I have to import but that's another subject, but that's also 2-1 for not bauxite processor and I still need to import 20 bauxite just to make a drydock, but that is at least more fair in that way, but yeah that's all make better parody between Iron/Bauxite and possibly Coal/Oil too that's all hope this helps make the game a better place to play. TL:DR: Bauxite players have clear and definite advantages in military and other aspects of the game due to them not needing to import nearly as many resources as Iron players, and that gives them a unfair advantage in the meta-game I think this should be balanced so that both sides have important advantages and disadvantages and may still need to trade for many resources but at an equal amount. In the current game this is not the case and gives bauxite players a unfair advantage to bauxite players and this should be amended. This is also the case in coal/oil to a lesser extent. Okay I'm coming back to this post to round up some often repeated comments and address them in full. [1]: [2]: [3] [5]

  17. I like this idea in general. It's debatable how much it adds, but it definitely doesn't hurt. I definitely foresee some not being used at all, while others being used by everyone. It might be interesting to add some type of element where the less common a resource is, the more of a bonus it provides. I would also like to see some commodities that impact resource production other than just food.

  21. Commodities Every nation generates two different Commodities in their nation. There are 25 total different Commodities. Every nation starts with 1 Commodities swap which will allow for an instant change for a single Commodity. If a nation has less than or equal to 100 days since being founded and uses their free Commodities swap, that Commodities swap will return 15 days (180 turns) after being used for free. Any nation with more than 100 days since being founded that uses their free Commodities swap will have their free Commodities swap return after 60 days (720 turns). Commodities swap timers can be reduced to 0 turns for 2 credits. Every nation is allowed one default shipping routes. Which allow access to the other nations Commodities resources creating a total of 4 Commodities resources. A low cost project will be introduced which allows for an additional shipping route creating a total of 6 Commodities resources. A higher cost project will be introduced which allows for an additional shipping route creating a total of 8 Commodities resources. Commodities effects do not stack. 22. From Gamestop stocks rising in price after the announcement of a new Battletoads... This is Shifty bringing you the economic and gaming news no one will Everyone remembers Greene. From Cobalt Clique getting rolled, to him buying ingame currency/credits for people w/ irl money (the original EM/Elijah), to his Ponzi Scheme, and his numerous attempts to buy P/W from the game. It's not the first time he's tried to use irl currency to buy a game or things in a game. This is the man that has all the vanity pets and funny hats a nickle and dime freeware game can offer. This guy was the Monsanto of Farmville. Today, he is manipulating the estimated worth of Taith reserves, but better yet, he is trying to buy API keys. Can Greene do what Terradoxia, NPO, Nova Riata, EM, and countless others have failed to do? For all we know, he's already rigged the Super Bowl tomorrow. Only time SNN will tell.
