  1. As King JaxTeller I and his riding party were setting up their camp for the night, they looked to the sky and the shining stars, and wondered of the worlds out there. Prince Aggeremid wondered of their vast militaries, High Councillor Arko of their interstellar alliances, High Councillor Commissar of their galactic economies, but only King JaxTeller wondered if they were but alone. Suddenly, a flash of blinding light emanated from the void, and a craft unlike any other materialised before the party. The Councillors drew their swords, yet the King remained still. A hiss like that of a serpent, and vapour like that of pipe-weed billowed forth. Two dark silhouettes stepped forward, ethereal and bathed in white light. The Councillors remained wary, yet the King stepped forward and drew his sword, only to place it on the ground before him. After a few long seconds, Prince Aggeremid stepped forth and did the same, followed by High Councillor Commissar, then High Councillor Benzy and soon all the party were knelt before the ethereal beings. Dulcet tones emanated from the slender being. “I am the Empress of the galactic Empire known as Amarr. This is my consort Vander lord. Earthologists believe that our origins begin here. We have been searching for millennia so that we may find out more about our Holy God. As those who reside in our holiest of places, we shall hold you in the highest regard.” With this she bid the party to rise, and presented to Prince Aggeremid a sword like no other, light in form and weight, and sharp as a razor's edge, and with it a promise that when the darkness comes, their armies shall stand beside The Rohirrim to fend it off. To High Councillor Gross, otherworldly goods and resources, and an agreement of free trade. But to King JaxTeller I, King of Rohan, Leader of the Rohirrim, Shield of the Light, they offered not only to him, but to the Rohirrim as a whole, the promise of friendship and loyalty, of cooperation and peace. Of an alliance. The Rohirrim and Amarr Empire sign an MDoAP Signed on behalf of The Rohirrim: JaxTeller, High King of The Rohirrim Aggeremid, Prince of Rohan and Marshal of The Rohirrim GrandCommissarWill, High Councillor of the Treasury Dark Mulligan, High Councillor of Recruitment Affairs Arko, High Councillor of Foreign Affairs Mr.Gross, Councillor of the Treasury and Trade Czar Signed on behalf of Amarr Empire: Vanderlord and Sweetstorm of the Kador Family Iwboy of the Kor-Azor Family Freegamersonline of the Tash-Murkon Family Shaners and Life & Souls of the Sarum Family JJ and MSPaint Artist of the Khanid Family Parrish, Jarrett, SR, Marshall and Mubers of the Ardishapur Family https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kil0XQyRLHf10aV6BomMgOrwq39YfLUQuCvgGBr3TYE/edit?usp=sharing

  2. Let me begin this by saying I am not the one who has the condition forcing me to walk away. I want people to know that it is not my own health that has led to this decision, but the health of an extremely close relative. With that being said, and with the name of this announcement, it is undoubtedly clear what this is, but I will say it anyway. Earlier today, I received devastating news that a very close relative of mine has been diagnosed with what they believe to be cancer. It is this news that has led to my official resignation from the position of Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the Syndicate, a position I was honoured to share with @Agent W. I would like to thank @Prefonteen @Leopold von Habsburg@Shiho Nishizumi@Dionysus@Theodosius@Batavus @Lucasand many many more in the Syndicate for seeing some kid who had made mistakes that haunt him in NPO's Last Time, and then made more mistakes in the Commonwealth, and chose to accept him to their alliance. It was a brief period of time that I have spent in the Syndicate, but it has been an amazing time, and I thank each and every one of you, and many many more for giving me the chance to prove myself. I would also like to thank @Sphinx@Putmir@Yui and many more in the Commonwealth for convincing me to return to this game after NPO's Last Time, when I fully intended on walking away and never again touching this game. I can not tell you all the depths of my gratitude that you allowed me to have a second chance after the mistakes and horrible decisions I made while as a member of the Black Knights. I thank each and every one of you for the friendships you allowed me to make in this second chance, and I thank every person in this game who has treated me with kindness and respect and understanding. Although it pains me to think of those mistakes I made, I know I need to again mention them, because I will not run from or hide from my mistakes. I won't deny the things I did, and I won't pretend the pain I helped cause does not exist. I did serve as a member of the government of the Black Knights for NPO's Last Time, and it was indeed under my tenure as a member of government that the worst atrocity committed in the history of this game occurred. I was willfully ignorant of the cheating that occurred, ignoring those who told me it was occurring. I did not stand against members of government when alliances were killed and nations were forced to quit this game. I stood by while friendships were destroyed, and pain was caused, and while I did not do nothing, I could have done more. I should have done more. I know there are those who can not and will not forgive me for these things, and I understand and accept it whole heartedly. I can say nothing more than this. With every ounce of my being, I am sorry for the things that occurred. My apologies will not take back the things done, it will not change the past, and it will not make the hurt go away. It will not bring back the alliances that died, it will not bring back the nations that were lost, but I need to apologize regardless, because now, at what I believe will be the end of my time in this game, I will not leave without accepting the depths of the pain caused by an alliance I was at one point proud to say I was in the government of. I have nothing more to say, save for this. I pray with all of my heart that this is not the end of my time in Orbis. I pray with every ounce of my being that the news I was given was a mistake, and should it not be a mistake, I will fight with every fiber of my being to do all I can to help my relative recover from their condition. I hope beyond hope that I will continue to play this game for years more to come, but if it should be that this is not the case, then I thank each and every one of you that I have met in this game, for giving me an experience over these three years that I truly believe will stick with me for years to come. Thank you all once again. I love you all. Imperator Tarroc of Imperium Romanum.

  4. With the relatively recent addition of an in-game reputation mechanic, it would only make sense if we could see a list of who our current commendations/denouncements are from (and, perhaps, who we have commended/denounced?). While some of it can be traced in our nation activity, it's not a reliable record considering it doesn't go back indefinitely and you can simply remove your commendation/denouncement immediately after issuing it. Sorry if this was already suggested somewhere that I missed! Or if it's already in the game, lol.

  6. Okay, so, a few things to work through from this post. First, it's not a random chance at all which resource you can produce. It's based, as shown when choosing your nation location, on continent. See the chart on: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/edit/map/ Also, while the military improvements might require aluminum (factories, also not bauxite) or steel (hangers), you'll indeed note that tanks require steel and planes require aluminum. The unit descriptions you quoted do note state this in itself, that's true, but the "Manufacture Cost" on the purchase screen clearly does. When you put in a number to manufacture, it explicitly tells you what is required next to "Calculated Cost" - I think the layout is pretty intuitive and I've honestly never come across anyone ever mistaking that they cost nothing (because, well, that wouldn't make any sense in terms of balance). I understand the appeal of being entirely independent, but that's simply not how the game works, which I find to be quite intentional. The game is designed to create the need to coordinate with others for resource acquisition and mutual protection through alliances, otherwise the global market and alliances would be largely meaningless. I recommend joining an alliance to learn how to play the game effectively. You're figuring it out on your own to a certain extent, anyone can, but it's much more effective and a far more productive experience to learn from and work with others.

  7. I wish you well, but I feel some of y’all take the events of NPOLT like if all of you got convicted for war crimes in Nürnberg. It’s been a year, it’s a game, just move on.

  8. Good evening. Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. The victims were in airplanes or in their offices: spies, spies, and a couple more spies. 60 lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror. The pictures of a text screen saying your spies died have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness, and a quiet, unyielding anger. These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat. But they have failed. Our country is strong. A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our spy count, but they cannot touch the foundation of Royal Confederacy. These acts shatter $50,000, but they cannot dent the steel of Royal Confederacy resolve. Royal Confederacy was targeted for attack because their leader is the second most obnoxious poster on the OWF. And no one will keep that obnoxiousness from continuing. Today, our nation saw evil -- the very worst of human nature -- and we responded with the best of Royal Confederacy. With the daring of our daily rebuys, with the friendly posters on the OWF who came to help in any way they could. Immediately following the first attack, I implemented our government's emergency response plans. Our military is powerful, and it's prepared. Our emergency teams are working in United States and Canada to help with local rescue efforts. Our first priority is to switch our war policy to arcane, and to take every precaution to protect our military at home and around Orbis from further attacks. The functions of our government continue without interruption. Supermarkets in United States which had to be evacuated today are reopening for essential personnel tonight and will be open for business tomorrow. Our financial institutions remain strong, and the Royal Confederacy economy will be open for business as well. The search is underway for those who were behind these evil acts. I have directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them. I appreciate so very much the members of OWF who have joined me in strongly condemning these attacks. And on behalf of the Royal Confederacy people, I thank the many world leaders who have called to offer their condolences and assistance. Royal Confederacy and our friends and allies join with all those who want peace and security in the world, and we stand together to win the war against terrorism. Tonight, I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a Power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: This is a day when all Royal Confederates from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. Royal Confederacy has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time. None of us will ever forget this day, yet we go forward to defend freedom and all that is good and just in our world. Thank you. Good night. And God bless Royal Confederacy. TL;DR shut up, no one cares.

  9. Many alliances rely on bots or spreadsheets to monitor and track their banking info. The bane of their existence is a lack of consistency. I'd like to suggest that the following changes be implemented as soon as possible. It will not effect the game in a grand scale, but it will enable ALL alliances to effect as much automated tracking as their leadership or skill allows. Short Term: Make the transaction note box a required element for both deposits and withdrawals. Long Term: Transition this box to a drop down menu, populated by a list of accepted transaction codes or references, defined by the alliance leadership via a text box under the alliance settings. After reviewing some of the most common notes and activities, I suggest the list be limited to 15 unique identifiers.

  10. a suggestion to make bounties more interesting 1) Have bounties collectable during a blockade. Money goes to escrow if the nation is under a blockade. 2) Add bounty stats Bounties Collected: X Money Collected From Bounties: X

  17. As alliances grow and drop, it would be wonderful to be able to get more options in the Treaty web. This includes adjusting it to top 75 or top 100. Selecting what treaties are visible, and maybe even adding a bloc feature that would box those alliances who are members of said bloc. Also a MDAP treaty option would be quite appreciated, as we’ve had several of those these past years.

  18. Just a thought: police stations give a buff to defending militias (the basic standing defense against ground attacks, which I believe is also influenced by population) Wouldn’t really be significant, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless~

  19. Founded in 2014, Rose is one of the largest alliances in Politics & War and has a rich history of being involved in almost all major events the world of Orbis has seen over the years. However, Rose is more than just an alliance. Rose is a people and a purpose. It is a brotherhood of common players who wish to make some noise and have fun during times of peace and conflict, but also serve a higher purpose by contributing value and meaning to the game around them. Thus, Rose is an alliance guided and held together by the central values of a true community, where those within make sacrifices for one another and stand together even in the most adverse of events.

  20. Okay let's be honest steel/iron is basically useless in the current meta-game. Now I am in a country in which I can't mine or make bauxite I get it's tied to your continent[1] which you can produce, and after making multiple cities it's still the case so I assume it's a nation thing, which is fair like oil/coal I get that. However unlike that disparity which makes your nation feel more unique and put a higher meta-game into trading. There is no accurate parody between iron and bauxite to account for the randomness. So I am a iron producing country and I like many nations are looking for military expansion. and I see tanks creators require bauxite so you know I don't pick that. I see hangers use steel so I'm glad assuming I can make planes with steel which makes sense that's what a lot of them are made out of. I should note going in I know I'd need to import oil/gasoline to power it, and I have a lead mine so I got that covered. I don't like importing oil cause it means it's unsustainable meaning if I got closed off to the market for any reason or in some case I wanted to go fully independent I can never do that since I can never produce the gasoline necessary to power the planes. So I do wish I could do something else but I get it's fair it gives strength and weaknesses somewhat and I accept it, so I buy some off the market[2] and make the hanger with my 10 steel. I'm ready to use it to make some steel airplanes and what do I find when I go into to make them I can't because it requires 5 bauxite, by the way not mentioned anywhere in the description, actually none of the material requiring military mention their cost per unit in their description only the cost to operate: I guess you're supposed to like on them to figure it out in the cost menu[3] but I don't think that's really a good idea cause I know other players will be like me and assume they don't cost any material to produce and make one without seeing the material cost and getting frustrated when you go to build your shiny new tank or plane to find it needs more materials than what you signed up for. So that's another little thing that could use fixing just put something like However in the current description is does not mention this disparity only mentioning gasoline and munitions which I stocked up on for this exact scenario. When I said I didn't like disparity between oil and coal because it makes my country unable to gain independence from the market because I have no way to reliably make gasoline without trading? This is quadruple the case when I can''t even make basic weapons without resources I *can't* produce. it makes it impossible for me to make a reliably staffed air force and tanks require bauxite to make the tank maker at all. This it makes it impossible for me as iron producing player to reliably or independently[4] get any tanks or planes at all leaving my army terribly short, I really do not like this and wish there was some way for me to make another military unit without having to import 90% of the materials from other countries, I wish to be able to make a independent nation without entirely depending on help from the market to make a single tank or plane. Okay I should note Navy fighters which I guess is supposed to be the counter argument, it 1 still requires bauxite though I guess more fair, it too requires gasoline something I have to import but that's another subject, but that's also 2-1 for not bauxite processor and I still need to import 20 bauxite just to make a drydock, but that is at least more fair in that way, but yeah that's all make better parody between Iron/Bauxite and possibly Coal/Oil too that's all hope this helps make the game a better place to play. TL:DR: Bauxite players have clear and definite advantages in military and other aspects of the game due to them not needing to import nearly as many resources as Iron players, and that gives them a unfair advantage in the meta-game I think this should be balanced so that both sides have important advantages and disadvantages and may still need to trade for many resources but at an equal amount. In the current game this is not the case and gives bauxite players a unfair advantage to bauxite players and this should be amended. This is also the case in coal/oil to a lesser extent. Okay I'm coming back to this post to round up some often repeated comments and address them in full. [1]: [2]: [3] [5]
