I am 100% Samwell Tarly. To even think I'd be the sole commander of legions of loyal, unstoppable, killing machines is either giving me waaaay too much credit or giving Black Skies an outstanding compliment.

Even if you switched your color in the last 5 days but are on beige, i think you should be allowed to switch off it because your forced on beige when you lose a war and if you want to declare another you have to wait until your timer is up.

Turn the leaderboards page into a full-length leaderboard. Display all nations. Chances are, if you play this game, you enjoy watching numbers on a screen move up or down. You might be into spreadsheets. There are thousands of players yet the leaderboards only show the top ten players in each category. I assume the data exists and simply needs to be displayed. I think this would be a huge QoL update for anyone interested in being competitive and seeing where they rank in the various categories.

I'm going to dip my toe into OOC discussion here and see what happens. I don't see a thread on this and I feel like it was a big enough deal to warrant one. protesters in DC broke into the Capitol building while Congress was in session - specifically while they were certifying the electoral votes for the next President. protesters beat, at least, one cop to death on film. Damaged or stole property. Caused the Senate and House to be evacuated to some bunker somewhere. At least one rioter was shot and later died after trying to charge through a doorway full of police/security. multiple people filmed/photographed with guns wandering the Capitol. Multiple people photographed/filmed with handcuffs/ropes/zipties/restraints wearing "tactical" gear. bombs [maybe accelerants?] were reported found at the scene. How did a protest/Trump rally turn into a violent mob rushing a federal government building? What would have happened if they got in quicker or Congress hadn't been evacuated in time? Why did anti-mask sentiment run so deep that they didn't cover their faces?

i would like to see the treaty web be able to be expanded beyond just top 50, especially to see offshores, vassals, & academies, as well as micro blocs. And to have filters included or be able to expand the treaty webs of individual alliances beyond just the 1st degree of their web, their treatied allies, to see blocs & their spheres of influence better.

instead of proposing a "micro" sub-forum and pushing micros & nanos in there, i would rather like to suggest that a subforum be added to Alliance Affairs where all alliances can post news they normally wouldn't post in Alliance affairs because its not that relevant to geopolitics, such as minor government changes, Protectorates, O-treaties & minor deals, micro blocs, etc. This also allows micros that might not be ready to post in the alliance affairs to post things like DOEs and MicroBlocs & treaties, as well as even war declarations. However any brave enough should still be allowed to post things like war declarations in alliance affairs.

I've spoken to rienne, that's just ludicrous. E404 wasn't even close to being in the top 3 with the peoples vote, and they're suddenly 'winners'. I agree it shouldn't be strictly popular vote, but if you can take nearly last place and make them the winner, that system is more flawed than popular vote.

As of yesterday (I forgot) Jan 7, 2021. I have played PoliticsandWar for my 6th year. (I joined cybernations on the same day because I was looking for a nation simulation game and joined several until landing on PoliticsandWar) 6 years ago i would of created my First Nation and joined the original Brotherhood of the Clouds. After playing for a bit I went inactive and eventually rerolled joining some random alliance I can’t remember the name of and then forming my first micro the Federal Union. After that I want inactive again until my reroll which is my current nation, with all the crazy stories and fun times. I would like to take this time to appreciate the friends, enemies, children in my basement, and people who’ve made my experience in PnW and interesting one. Thanks everyone.

I fail to understand what other riots have to do with legality or morality of any other riot. Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm very tired of deflection as a talking point. I get viscerally annoyed at this point when discussing politics and the only response you can glean out of someone is "yes, but the others did it too."

You didn't even ask anyone @Alex I disagree with player ads being up voted or down voted. That means people will always ever see the alliances that have the most members that voted for themselves. This further cements the idea that top 5 alliances actually matter and they really don't. Please reverse this change.

Actually, I'd say that the emp effect would be pretty powerful in terms of shutting down rebuild options for someone that's overextended, if everyone on them emp'd. It probably wouldn't quite be worth more than the 3 airstrikes each that it represents, though, yeah. Hrm... it could be used for whaling/assassination in that one slot could reliably shut down 2 cities worth of military rebuild. Take 3 nations to prep the ground, and you can shut down 6 cities, well 5 statistically given ID, without at *all* reducing the targets score. Time your approach so that the wars either expire or are beiged out by the target, opening him up to a devastating followup attack. Makes downdeclaring even more deadly, given the prep work. The opening forces wouldn't need military at all, as long as they have either the nuclear stockpiles or enough warchest.

The NPC delegation had arrived. The Quack leaders got up from the table and walked outside with Partisan carefully clutching his last pint of ale. Benfro signaled for a table to be set up and served while the leadership sat down and their armies watched on. “Well, Snek,” croaked the prickly old man, “I’ve gotten the best of you again, until my memory fails and I have to come get you off my color bloc lawn again.” His laughter quickly devolved into coughing before LeftBehind rushed forward and fed him some medicine. “Nappy nap time.” the old man mumbled before drifting off to sleep. The peace document soon was passed around the table and signed by each representative. Partisan dipped his snake tail in the ale and signed with his beloved booze. The old man was still asleep, so his aide signed for him. When the last signature was complete, Adam of the $yndicate stood up and read the document aloud for all to hear. Official Peace Terms: Effective at Day Change of 14/12/2020-15/12/2020 (Greenwich Mean Time) 1. Quack posts admission of defeat. 2. Blanket NAP of 120 days (Ending on the 13th April 2021) including all current protectorates on both sides. 3. All wartime changes in regards to color blocs must be reversed to pre-war status. This applies to both coalitions and protectorates for the duration of the NAP. 4. No new war declarations after peace is in effect; any ongoing wars may end naturally via peace, expiry, or beige. 5. Yui is to be provided a baby giraffe picture from TKR. When Adam finished reading aloud, armies from all factions shouted for joy and the leaders congratulated each other on a well fought war. Quack and NPC leadership walked down the hill together to celebrate and feast. Peace had arrived and the world was no longer burning. The old man remained at the table, still sleeping from his medicine, mumbling about punching the snek again. Partisan also remained nearby, too drunk to walk, too tired to celebrate. He cradled his third half-empty pint in his arms and drifted off to sleep. TL;DR: Quack surrenders to the Nameless Paperless Coalition. Both parties agree to peace with a 4 month NAP. I will stick up for Quack some here. I understand why they proceeded how they did given what they were facing, so whether Boyce had anything of actual value or not is somewhat irrelevant to me. They felt they were going to be targeted either way and they acted upon it - plain and simple. I don't fault them for that at all for making the best play from that position that they saw at the time. I think people focus too much on actual CBs that in some way we need some hard evidence to be justified for a war. It should be as simple as "we felt threatened and that's why we acted". As one that would like to avoid a repeat war, we need to accept some of what happened for what it is and be willing to move on. While I still stand by our assessment of the threat before the war started, this war did show that they weren't in as much of a dominant position as much of the game feared perhaps, and so I appreciate their feelings on the defensiveness about being viewed as a hegemony. I think everyone can reset some of their expectations and perceptions perhaps, as we all move forward.

Dude..... come on. Don't take what I said and try to make it the next thing you hound publicly to try to get people to talk about. Peace talks will remain mostly confidential, don't start beating drums to other leaders to put it all out there in public, it won't happen. Even though I said I'd be fine with it, I'd advise against it and most other leaders would too. In fact that would probably derail peace talks more than anything else, and you're one that's been trying to facilitate getting peace done. Just drop it, please. When peace is done and the terms are made public, I'm sure there'll be plenty that could then be discussed by all.

Sorry, I do have to correct some things here. TKR, t$, and TI allied each other before NPO imploded. After NPO left the game, Partisan, Tyrion, and I, along with our FA teams, spent a considerable amount of time talking about what we wanted to do and how to move forward in a post-IQ world. In the end, we didn't agree on how best to do that and TI elected to resolve those disagreements by cutting ties with us and t$ and forming their own sphere, Swamp. It was an amicable split.

The long hard road to recovery begins now.

Today The Immortals welcome their new official allies in The Syndicate and The Knights Radiant. Discussion have been in the works for awhile, all with the original intention of being activated post-war. However, we have been drawn into the conflict, and because of this, cannot and will not just walk away from our new friends and let them continue to be bogged down in war. We stand with our friends and will remain in the conflict until a fair peace is negotiated for the war. As leader of The Immortals, I don’t have a personal issue with any of the OD alliances or leaders who we are at war with – that is not why we remain at war. A war that lasts this long is not good for the game, nor is peace terms that are too harmful for those they are brought upon. Many good people have and will continue to quit due to the conflict. The game needs balance for it to be enjoyable, so I implore both sides to come to a fair peace and we can all continue enjoying this game for many months and years to come. Until that happens, we will be there in the battlefield. So with that, I ask all nations out there to consider helping bring about a peace and ending to the war. If your alliance has peaced and you still personally believe in the cause, build up your military then come temporarily join The Immortals or other allies in the fight, and help us balance the power. Let’s talk about bank heists for a moment. Some people celebrate them, think of it as some great victory. Well laid plans of deception paid off and away with the money the robbers go. “Look at how smart I am”, they may think. An alliance bank like, oh let’s see… Pantheon’s as an example, would be the culmination of hundreds of member’s efforts collected over multiple years. So many people contribute to that over such a long period of time and “poof” just like that, it’s taken. But congrats, you pulled it off – and look at what you have to show for it! However, as we know in life, there are consequences to actions. Some alliances do not tolerate this action and so here we are. Depending on the value of resources, last week Pantheon’s bank of well over $10B in value was taken by the collective efforts of Gorge and Nokia Rokia. This money must be repaid - in one form or another – and any other accomplices must also be held accountable. If you have done business with either of them, it’s likely stolen funds and we urge you to help return the money. Somebody knows where the money is. Somebody is hiding the money for them. If you harbor either of these two in your alliance, you are an accomplice because you are likely getting financial benefits of the stolen money, knowingly or unknowingly. Kick them out or form a new alliance without them. If you are protecting the stolen money directly, you are an accomplice. If you are countering efforts to recover the money, you are an accomplice. If there is a refusal to pay, we will claim ownership over their personal assets including loan receivables. If you have a loan and owe money personally to Gorge or Nokia, reach out to Pantheon and you can save a bit of money on your loan debt by paying a fraction of what you owe back through Pantheon instead. $10B must be repaid immediately. The longer and more expensive this takes, the more that will be needed in order to get resolution. Actions have consequences.

Project cost: $76000000, 1000 munitions, 500 aluminum, 500 steel Project function: Would allow for a second set of borders, in another country or continent, placing it in another continent would still take up one location change though. When placed on another continent you would lose 1000 soldiers. Once colonized, your nation about section would read "ExampleNation is located on the continent of ExampleContinent with a colony in AnotherExampleContinent." This project cannot be destroyed unless your approval rating is 0 for 100 turns. You will be refunded 100 munitions, $35000000, 200 steel and 200 aluminum. When you purchase new land you can grow your main country or your colony. Your colony will appear like a city under a "colony" tab, but instead if starting with 10 infra, it will start with 50, however all prices of operations/infra/land mass/improvements are increased by 2.5%. I just think that this would be a more efficent way of gathering resources, send any feedback in the comments!

Most Missed Alliance: New Pacific Order

As a proud member of the Global Alliance Treaty Organization, I have known that our side has been winning Global War 16. It is about time for the Aggressors, (Alliances like Eclipse and TKR) to surrender. One of the Aggressors, the Amarr Empire has had their score fall from 98K to 50K. This is due to the high-intensity fighting alliances like GATO have sent towards the Amarr Empire. I feel that at this time, it would be best for the aggressors to surrender, their scores have gone to trash while defender scores are relatively steady. Hopefully, the war ends soon so times can get back to normal.
