  1. I for one am waiting anxiously for your in depth analysis into this change in the political landscape. What do you think happened, Phoenyx?

  3. Lord Tyrion personally mailed me a letter telling me that the two alliances will merge to form The Fighting Immortals. They will then become fully paperless and lock arms with Arrgh to bring in a new Golden Age of paperless politics. It's over for pixelhuggers.

  6. I would like to take a moment to thank everybody that managed to attend. I for one had an absolute blast. Congrats to our Assassins Guild winner, im poor. Thank you to Daveth and Zygon for being interviewed on our radio show. The Uno War was fun. If I learned anything this year, it's that Children on Leashes will always win at CAH. See you all next year!

  13. With Global War 16 a month old as of tomorrow, I think it would do us well to reflect on how things are going for our respective nations, alliances, spheres, and sides. As for me, this global's brought me new friends - on both sides of the conflict. Despite my alliance being actively engaged with them, i've grown fond of several Carthago and TKR members, and i'm looking forward to hanging out more with them at the conclusion of hostilities. It's also brought along stronger bonds in my alliance - on the first few days of the war, 2 of my comrades and I decided to call ourselves the "Lower Defense Brigade" as a trio of C10s finding targets - and i'm glad for that building of friendship. How are you all doing with this global a month in? Whether you're in Quack or not, I feel like taking some time to think on things would cool potential salt as we approach the winter holiday season. Happy Holidays

  14. Yes, you posted threads. I disagreed with all of them ;). Our investigation was enough, and was later proven correct. The faillure on part of the opposition to be in any way consistent with regards to *events that occurred* ((facts, not reasons/opinions) is a direct validation of our assessment and the decision on which we based it. Sigh... are you going to spam offbase references to events 5 years ago again if I dignify you with a remotely serious response?

  16. Okay bub, I'll bite that bait. Let's see if it fits your definition. "A gag order is a legal order, by a government..." (Your alliance had a government, so that checks out.) "...restricting information or comment from being made public or passed onto any unauthorized third party." (That government imposed a restriction on your commentary, so that checks out.) "The phrase may sometimes be used as a private order by an employer or other institution." (While PnW governments have no legal authority on Earth, they are without doubt private institutions. They give orders, backed by their jurisdiction over warfare and alliance membership permissions. That therefore counts as a legal authority on Orbis*, so that checks out.) The only disagreement that you seem to have with the definition is that you consider "stop posting or else you can't be in our alliance" to not be an "order". It very much IS an order, just one that explicitly clarifies the otherwise unspoken (but still very extant) penalty for not following orders: being kicked from/leaving the alliance**. It is functionally identical to a legal gag order IRL: The authority (government or company) tells you to not do something. You still have the choice: Not do it, or do it and face the penalties that the authority sees fit to levy against you for your transgression. This is the same: You were simply told up front what the penalty would be, which changes nothing except makes you that much more of a jackass. *Orbis is the name of the planet on which our nations are canonically placed. The geography is identical to Earth, but there are of course massive differences such as the potential for overlapping territories, a physical inability to make war outside of certain boundaries, instant population growth, 2 hour days, et cetera. **Being kicked or leaving under your own power are identical in the context of this situation, since if one hadn't happened the other would have.

  27. I've been out of the loop for a while- As can be guessed, Tyrion wasn't exactly pleased with me sharing our private conversations regarding this global war. However, I think other people's guesses make sense- Tyrion did mention in a Thalmor's Radio show that he was thinking of downsizing Swamp after the war. So I think it makes sense that the other Alliances in Swamp decided to remove him and their close Allies TFP before they had a chance to get support to remove one or more of the other Alliances in Swamp. To be honest, I think that TI and TFP are better off this way anyway. I certainly saw no detailed arguments in this forum from any of them. I'm not so sure militarily speaking, but I suspect that the main military strength wasn't coming from most if not all of the others in the Sphere (confirmation on this would be helpful). My real concern is what this means for the future of TI and TFP. As I've been mentioning in a certain fictional version of Orbis that Isjaki is running, I think that if HM doesn't reveal more regarding what Ronnie's HM leader source meant when he said that Swamp had approached them and said they wanted to "counter Quack's growth", their best option may be to try to work out some type of peace deal with Quack on their own and call it a day. Ofcourse, what I think is best and what they think is best may be quite different. One last point to consider- now that certain internal rifts within Swamp have been made abundantly clear, the question of -who- exactly in Swamp the Mysterious HM Leader was speaking to becomes pretty important. With this separation between TI and TFP, it makes even more sense that there may have been a separate faction in Swamp that did indeed want to go to war with Quack, and it lends credibility to Tyrion and Kaz's statements that if there was such a faction, they knew nothing about this alleged plan. Ofcourse. But in the mean time, we can all guess. Speaking of an official response, Kaz has now made a comment in the Alliance thread:

They responded to the message with their own message which said, "Join kkkt? Absolutely not". Pretty self-explanatory. A play off our alliance acronym to call us racists.

  41. I actually came here to complain about just exactly that. This war is terrible and boring and I am not enjoying it at all and it is just like Knightfall. Fighting NPO was a challenge with different phases of the war, super exciting, even if IQ was toxic as shit most of the time (it did get stale when it became forever war). Tbh I got along with the GotG guys really well though even though I raided their alliance for years. Those raids on GotG was fun, fighting NPO/IQ was fun and tbh I miss it a bit. Fighting for slots isn't fun for me but it is what it is I suppose. Though in the spirit of the thread I did enjoy one war, some Oceania nation attacked me completely unprovoked, and I wrecked his military and then nuked him three times.

My alliance being actively engaged with them, i've grown sour towards more than half of the game, and i'm looking forward to hanging them at the conclusion of hostilities. It's also brought along weaker bonds in my alliance - on the first few days of the war, 2 of my comrades and I decided to call ourselves the "Staying Together For The Kids" as a trio of C30s getting swarmed by c10s- and i'm tired of that mutual suffering.
