  1. So i’ve come up with a few suggestions for the commend and denouncements system after seeing it go into affect for the past 24 hours(and witnessing Alex purge all my commendations at midnight lol) It would be great to add the option to remove notifications for commends and denouncements in settings. This would help those that don’t like seeing 50+ notifications appear overnight only to find out it’s for a cosmetic thing they may not care about. Second, remove Denouncements and Commendations from the nation activity log and add a page similar to the embargos page to show when they happen instead. While it is nice to be able to see them happen in nation activity logs, keeping them there will only produce negative effects. it will make the jobs for alliances’ gov departments harder or less efficient with commends and denouncements being able to easily cover up more vital nation activity stats like when war declarations happen or when they leave/join an alliance. TLDR: Give option to remove commend/denounce from notifications and instead of having them appear in nation activity log they appear in a new page similar to the embargo’s page.

  3. Having ability to see your defenders and attackers military without having to go into their nation page in war screen. Would help decide faster what attack to make.

  4. An option to turn on notifications for certain things and turn off for others. For example, you don't want to be notified about some denouncing your nation. It should be an option to turn that off.

  8. I have a few ideas as to who it could be, but here is my main idea. Vacaid. This makes sense in my head because of a few reasons. The first being that he wanted Sphinx out of office (the masked guy achieved that rather quickly). Vacaid was also a member of Mythic for a brief time, see: 10/31 06:39 pm - BlackBeard removed Vacaid from the alliance Mythic. 10/25 11:51 pm - Universal States Republic applied to join the alliance Mythic. As for why he had a "Sunsteel" blade, I'm not sure, but from looking at things, in my head Vacaid makes the most sense. (Also just want to say, keep up the writing Isjaki, its very good)

  10. Unless we're ever going to get a well balanced, interesting conventional warfare system that all, be that the administration, the playerbase, or both, can agree on (read: never), and considering that with recent changes, kamikazeing with units (eg. full plane suicides that were effective in NPOLT and other past wars) has been entirely nerfed, rendering obsolete mentioned successful tactics of an outnumbered/sat on force, ergo, eliminating the conventional means of fighting back and dealing damage for a losing side in a war, the only simple fix I see is indeed buffing the non-conventional means of fighting back against your opponents, ie nukes and missiles. I'd echo suggestions put forward by Potpie, Leo, and others. Make nukes able to kill more improvements than 2, for example 5, like Potpie suggested. It would be worth noting that it should probably have the amount of NPPs killed limited to two, and more importantly, allow another daily nuke buy, either as a Space Program bonus, or NRF itself. Converting VDS/ID % chances of shooting down missiles or nukes to flat % damage reduction is an interesting idea as well. In essence, there should be a cost to war and players should not be discouraged or limited to fight back, but rather the avenue of doing so should always be open, now whether you are proactive enough about it is a whole other matter (for instance, you would need to find ways to buy that second nuke, as effective blockading and sitting on an opponent could easily deny it).

  15. Phoenyx has agreed to come on to Thalmor Radio. I also spoke to Prefontaine on my show last week about him coming on and he agreed but I haven't followed up as my internet died Monday and has made everything harder to do. Show is tonight at 9 PM EST as always. So, about 10 hours from now. Thalmor Radio is P&W's only weekly radio show. Hosted by myself and cohosted by Shifty and Zig, we go live every Friday at 9 PM EST. We talk about thoughts on our minds, P&W news, and real life happenings. 18. If you're asking for speculation as to who the Mysterious HM leader was, I have heard speculation that it sounds like it could either be Aku or Change, who are apparently both HM leaders. I will direct the person who made that speculation here, perhaps they might like to add their reasoning. I hope you might also consider speculating as to what information Boyce had to decide to say that HM/TCW/Swamp was going to attack Quack in early December (more on that here)

  20. IMO there should still be a cost here to reward those who do their homework. But slots are rare, so it should only have the full financial costs of the operation IMO but the slot wouldn't be used. I've been using nukes to bait slot filling but I think that shouldn't happen. I thought it was bait to catch slot fillers. Destroying improvements would be nice, but it should be quite low, similar to ground attack odds, so someone doesn't use it to destroy 3 improvements/day lol. Maybe arcane/covert would affect odds.

  21. I dont think it should be removed from the score formula, but should contribute much less proportionally than it does now, giving score to improvements instead, in a balanced way, would be more indicitive of both military and economic output.

  23. I don't know about ya'll, but it took literally two assassination operations to kill all 60 of my spies, and that doesn't seem very balanced to me. Perhaps make it more difficult to instantly wipe a full stack of spies?

  24. Eh, that runs counter to the entire situation in which nukes/missiles are used in the first place. So it's effectively nerfing them. Considering that they have to go through a 50/20% check in the first place, curtailing their damage even more is extra punishing for no real reason. (To clarify, addressing the GC/AS/Blockade debuffs).

  25. What about instead of "blocking", it turns it into a flat damage reduction? No longer an all or nothing attack.

  26. @Lord Tyrion I assure you that nuke sniping was definitely something that happened, and bots were not used. That being said I think you're right and the game should be more clear about when a nuke/missile is spyable, nothing is more annoying than a person basically spy slotfilling someone because they don't realize the nuke is protected. As for pre, perhaps buff spy vs infra? It's literally so bad that it's a meme, so maybe let the spy kill some infra and a random improvement (excluding NPPs). It wouldn't make it overly strong, but it would give the function some use.

  27. Maybe make nukes cost 250 aluminum and uranium more (up to 1000 aluminum/ 500 uranium) but make nukes destroy 5 improvements instead of 2. Personally when I get nuked I really don't care, I won't have to rebuild the city 90% of the time. Nukes currently are near exclusively for infra damage, but what if there was that risk of the nuke really destroying enough that you have to rebuild the city?
    1 point
  28. They probably do kill a little more than they should, but that's not overly concerning to me at least. The one thing I've never liked is the protection for missiles and nukes built within the day. I understand people could probably use bots to destroy them right when they are first built, so maybe there's a 5 minute window to launch it or something, but doing spy ops and not knowing whether you're able to destroy that nuke/missile or not is a bit odd. But if that didn't change, the game shouldn't even let you launch a spy attack if there's nothing that you can destroy - it should just say there are no nukes available to be destroyed and not have your op go through then. Same with when they have zero spies, I've heard that sometimes that gets your own spies killed - but maybe that's been addressed.

  29. I think this is a good idea, and it wouldn't hurt to add it. Worst case scenario -- no one uses it.
    1 point
  30. That's untrue at least for the first bit of infra that is necessary to recruit units. Though I'd also say that the score should reflect the nations overall strength and thats both military and economic output.
    1 point
  31. Higher infra = higher risk = higher reward. If you have 4k infra and make a ton of cash every day it should come with some risk, and if you're at 600 infra with no passive income it should come with some benefit (or raiders would find life incredibly hard.) You may not see raiding as a "valid" way to play, but they still exist and shouldn't be pushed out of the game.

  35. Your coalition outnumbers ours more than 2:1. Where's the posts from your side? Surely, you guys could outnumber us on these forums. But I suppose that would require having a sensible or truthful position, which you don't. So instead, your side has been the one who have had to gag members (including one newbie who is still brown-nosing for your dumpster coalition even though he has been kicked from 3 different alliances of yours for speaking on the forums, lol). That you come out here accusing our side of gagging members? One of the silliest and most absurd things I have ever heard.

  36. Lol @Grave I think everyone is fully aware you have your own opinions. What we arent letting you off the hook for is you running your mouth and then claiming that your views do not reflect The Immortals views. As high gov of an alliance you are a representative of said alliance. Milcom, IA, FA whatever you are still part of the highest levels of opsec of your alliance and you cant just pretend your words mean nothing. For you to make outlandish claims and then try to feign innocence when it comes to The Immortals is utter BS and people not accepting that type of micro mentality behavior is not an echo chamber no matter how hard you try to push it.

  37. Nice buzzword. What's next, oRgAniC SpLitS? It's painful that you are entirely oblivious to the most basic of concepts. This is not about (my) comprehension. It's about how organizations and cross-organizational relationships work. Authority is not something you can just swich on and off. Perceived authority is something one tends to be mindful of due to the impact it can have on your position. Must be that darned echo chamber again.

  38. Do you understand the definition of irony? You're gov; whether you want it or not, people will attribute your opinion to your alliance. I'm not claiming not to be representative of the alliance I help lead. What exactly is ironic? You're quite literally concluding that "SYNDI MUST HAVE ITS ENTIRE ALLIANCE GAGGED BECAUSE THEY SAY THINGS I DONT LIKE", and then calling that an "IQ similarity". IQ had historical tendencies to avoid the OWF, to call anything its opposition said "pRoPaGaNdA", to consistently reference abstract concepts like "echo chambers", to contradict itself constantly, to try to pull diplomacy into backrooms while shoving a narrative of lies through the throats of it member bases etcetera etcetera. What they did not do, where possible, was make public threads or statements.

  40. I actually saw a game do something similar to this once. There were 4 macguffin objects, and if someone brought them all together they could either double their nation or cut someone else's nation in half. It took years and a dozen global wars for anyone to even get two of them. If it requires 6 for one free city or one snapped away city, then it'd be a cool as heck once-off drama. I unironically support the idea.
