During these troubling times, Hedge Money has been working hard to stay in contact. During one of our regular Zoom meetings, a strapping young lad hacked into our call. Before we could work out how to remove the intruder, he regailed us of his plan. He told us of the enormous amounts of wealth and hedges in the holy land and his desire to capture them once again. We were intrigued and confused but we brought him on board! Preamble The Knights Templar enter into treaties of mutual defense with Guardian, Grumpy Old Bastards and Children of the Light. Article 1: Money Grows on Hedges Should someone try to interrupt our hedge money growing scheme, the signatories shall eliminate the weeds. Article 2: Money Talks The Signatories agree that if they gain any insider trading knowledge, to inform the other signatories so they can also benefit from the profits. Article 3: It’s Just Business If profits from this scheme are not satisfactory for a signatory, they may withdraw relations from another signatory giving 72 hours notice. Alright. Let's keep this short. I've explained the following to arctic, but he seems to have forgotten. In essence: The Gringotts ordeal being referenced occurred a long time ago (1.5 year?). A lot has transpired since, and t$+I have been bugged about the matter ad nauseum, each time with different glorious stories. I'll recap: - Gringotts was founded in Hogwarts. It was run by Cuzelle (Helga hufflepuff at the time), BAMF and Ole. Initially Seb was involved, but he split his assets back into his own Emerald Bank fairly quickly and later went off to form Durmstrang. Eumirbago was never an owner At best he was involved with grunt work or a while. At worst he was uninvolved. I ran the alliance FA and at times conducted overlapping legwork, but never handled ledgers. I think most of you will know that I do not give a shit about financial/economic matters in this game. I can barely be bothered to log into my nation. - After Hogwarts disbanded (following Terminal Jest), I went back to t$. BAMF, Cuzelle, Ole and Eumir followed suit. Gringotts was fully functional at the time. Ole eventually went inactive, leaving just BAMF and Cuzelle. t$ allowed Gringotts bank access to move cash, but did not economically profit: Ledgers were kept seperate and t$ did not act as a guarantor. It was a service to oldtime members (BAMF/Cuz were oldschool syndi from 2015 days). - Unfortunately, Cuzelle decided to go off the deep end and VM'd with the contents of the gringotts bank plus The $yndicate bank (member deposits) for shits and giggles. Alex did his Alex thing and ended up restoring the bank while removing 20% of all contents. The totals of that was billions. Gringotts at that point can not have been solvent anymore. Simultaneously, there was supposedly some shady shit going on with greene which I tried to briefly investigate for BAMF, but never got solved. It boils down to: A large loan got defaulted on. - So, Gringotts was reeling and BAMF was the only administrator left. t$ was left with a hole in its deposits number in the billions due to Cuzelles actions. BAMF spent considerable time trying to find a way to close down Gringotts without defaulting and while covering t$' losses. Eventually, RL took him and/or he burned out. The bank closed down. BAMF prioritized covering losses inflicted to t$ by gringotts' operator cuzelle (when she VM'd). t$, at the end of the day, came out of that ordeal with a net loss, much like the investors. t$ has not been in posession of any gringotts ledgers and even if it wanted to, can not verify gringotts running loans and deposits. - Fast forward to last war: IQ attempted to hold t$ liable for Gringotts at the behest of some of these disgruntled investors. IQ demanded t$ pay an unspecified amount (the phrasing of their demand boiled down to "t$ repays all Gringotts investors". With no way to verify deposits, that would've been a mess. Suffice to say, t$ took note of that demand and of the investors pushing it. - Now to the events described by arctic: Arctic has been on a fools' errand. He is basing an investigation on the word of the person who VM'd with gringotts' contents in the first place, and who has been gone from the game ever since. She recently returned and is labeled non grata in t$. The remainder of Arctic's "investigation" is a set of inquiries with - Eumirbago, a t$ member with neither a significant role in gringotts nor any authority in t$, who holds a reputation for trolling. - A Partisan pretender. Ameyuri has been named Partisan ingame for over a year now. Arctic approached her believing she was me, and (as shown in the initial screenshots I attached) did not realize that he was speaking to an imposter until I made it painfully clear. Eumir and Ame fed him a bunch of bullshit for shits and giggles. This has since been clarified to arctic. Arctic's document also contains a few outright lies (re: Gringotts loaning cash to coal B with some weird winning condition). I was content to let things be until we received the screenshot of arctic attempting to gauge support for a coup in February. The "coup" predates the events of the past days and is therefore viewed as seperate by t$. While the attempt at a coup would never have had a chance at succeeding, the intention must be taken seriously. We have therefore subjected Arctic to a one-round rolling. Since then, Arctic has twisted about pushing his "story", while simultaneously pleading for peace and harassing e$ applicants. The sentence imposed by t$ will stand. Hopefully Arctic will learn his lesson and go his seperate way once the punishment is complete.

Resistance does not matter. Generally, the most relevant factor when analyzing a fight is the cost of damage. Dension did over half a billion in damage to Camelot (including stealing a treasure). This is inexcusable considering Camelot's size, age, and circumstances of the engagement. Camelot's unreasonable counters (that came as a result of their stupid counter policy) on Denison were a complete flop and there is no rationalization that can prove otherwise.

Lets take a quick look at his history, he grew his nation and made his fortune by "winning" 29 billion in Keno, left the alliance he was leading in the middle of a war, was involved in a pay for cash scandal, threw a hissy fit, and decided to become a raider, which he was terrible at, until he was eventually banned for trying to pay people to spy slot fill for him, so he could rebuild spies... This is also while he was extremely active while reporting other people pretty regularly for what he thought was cheating. Based on all this, he strikes me as a hypocritical scumbag, and Orbis is a better place without him. All that being said, I still wish ya the best of luck Known Cheater EM.
