  2. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=630723 cost the defender 38.6m in unit value, the attacker 18.86m. Not including soldiers (which is roughly comparable) and looted cash (which favors the defender). Price of steel being at 4046 PPU and alum at 3506 PPU respectively. Theoretical infra lost (based from 2.1k infra since that's what the NS and his builds suggest) valued about 51m (no discounts) for the attacker. Defender lost some but I'll assume it's just like 5m or something of the sort. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=630730 cost the defender 37.8m in that same value, while attacker lost 20.8m. Infra lost (based from 1990 infra based on same parameters) valued at 40m. Defender also didn't suffer that many losses in that respect. Doesn't include beige loot values. That also obviously adds extra. What were mathematically unsound trades (especially given the circumstances) are apparently fine trades now. Then again, I'm not surprised he'd think that when he thinks that bringing up the Test server is meant to mean anything.

  3. A suggestion to cover what is obviously the most essential resource in the modern world Raw production is wood. The improvement is a forest, which basically operates like a farm - more output with more land Manufactured output is toilet paper. Every citizen you own needs toilet paper at a rate of 1 roll per citizen per week. If the supply of tp drops to 0 then there is civil unrest, all production ceases and your money is looted by your citizens

  4. I hope this announcement finds all are doing well in these trying times. In the interest of comradeship and joint alliance military operations, STR and TKBO have agreed to an MDoAP to preserve the wellbeing of both alliances. Article I In the interest of defense STR and TKBO will come to the aid of each other when requested. Article II In offensive wars it is left to the discretion of each sovereign alliance to aid each other when requested. Article III This treaty is non-negotiably binding until the agreed length of time (100 days) has passed. Upon the expiration of the treaty, STR and TKBO will once again come together and either: abandon the treaty, edit its contents and renew, or renew as is. /s/ The Stratosphere Commander: Dave III /s/ The knights of the Blood Oath Bogor: Isole Kendra

  7. Simple enough, his bois forgot to cover their butts against the naval strikes that they really should have seen coming. I've pulled that stunt many times myself, and notably it did not pan out against Aurora, whose boi did see it coming, acted accordingly and countered it properly. The standard old "air only" strats work well in alliance warfare... not in irregular warfare like this. I'd honestly hoped Camelot would know that by now, but turns out I was the sucker in that bet all along ? Micro your guys lost their own raids to, what does that really say about you then? I mean really. Taking two rounds to take down a lone screwball, that's pretty far from braggable

  8. Why is this of any note? First, we are invited to merge or to join new blocs all the time and we reserve to discuss these things internally, as any other alliance does. Second, Raoul, our former esteemed leader quit and decided to re-roll as a pirate(because he got tired of dealing with bs like this). Flamboyant language aside, this means nothing to anybody. To shifty, our mole, and anybody that thinks this is of note... I believe southpark says it best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMDP5Pa007o

  11. Caledonia Declaration of Existence Purpose: To announce the existence of the Caledonia Alliance. Intended Users: New nations and micro users. The alliance of Caledonia focuses on helping new nations make their way into the world of Orbis. There is of course those who are merely offended by the thought of micros because god forbid that someone do something other than what the macros want. If someone really hates the idea of micros well your parents didn't tell you your opinion wasn't worth that much. So for the most part we exist outside of the realm of macros influence who cannot handle the idea of not having something under their control. You may take my infra, lands, and men, but you will never take my freedom to talk crap. Otherwise, I look forward to working with many others in the world of Orbis. Signed: Robert the Bruce

  12. One of my members https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=192683 is set on a build with 6 bauxite mines and 5 aluminum factories. He doesnt have the Bauxite Works project so he should be producing more than the bauxite he needs in his nation at all times. Our taxes are currently at X/100 so 100% of his resources should come to the bank. I estimate that he should be making around 56 aluminum/turn along with 3 bauxite a turn. However, his tax records show that he is making 1.5 aluminum and 22 bauxite a turn, ie, only a part of his aluminum refineries are working Usually, this happens when the cities are unpowered but here is the catch-All his cities were powered. Plus, he has money in his nation along with food. Thus, power outage is not the reason. In the meantime, I will ask other alliances to check if such a bug is occurring with their members as well.

  13. Heaven has spoken. The gods have declared our time as a strong, independent empire is now over. As of today, the Ming Empire is just a memory. We have had four beautiful and prosperous years in PnW, what started as a CyberNations alliance founded by Diomedes and Trajan as Ragnarok become something more. The Ming Empire was an alliance of diversity, of friends from afar who joined to foster a sense of community and we are proud of that. And while we, the citizens of Ming are sad to see it fade into the pages of history, we are proud of our accomplishments, whether it be supporting each other or our allies, to reaching 50+ members, or joining the top 10. We go now into the beyond with hope and trust that our time here was enjoyable for all and that Heaven’s will be done. While our Mandate has expired, the gods have entrusted a new just ruler with their blessing: Valk of Rose. As fitting, our Empire will merge with theirs, becoming stronger. In the spirit of an independent Ming however, our members had the free will to join any other alliance they saw fit, and we wish them health, wealth, and prosperity. Ming Out TLTR- Merging into Rose

  17. I don't think there's a bug. It sound like he just doesn't have enough bauxite in his nation inventory to produce the aluminum. And he's not building up any stockpile of bauxite because it's all being taxed 100% to the alliance bank.

  18. because the last war was just yet another example in a long string of wars that the mechanics are fundamentally flawed. It just happens to be the most recent and probably best example. There will be no update or mechanical change that can change wartime morale. You either care about your pixels or you don't, a healthy interest in a game that you play isn't a bad thing. We saw NPO+company repeatedly over the years reach a damage "threshold" that they didn't care if they kept 'losing'. Conversely last war they won but weren't satisfied with their threshold of winning so they sat on everyone instead. A toxic group like that could potentially rise again and abuse the mechanics, again. There's probably bad gov people out there right now discussing how NPO's attrition strategy was "cruel but effective." Changing the score formula to only hurt raiders won't help that. Changing rebuy rates to help the entire game as a whole will help that. You guys need to climb out of the echo chamber and do some of your own math sometimes. Lowering casualties and raising rebuy rates gives war a tactical meaning to it other than a quick blitz-and-sit for 5 days. There's more to this game than your once a year wars where it's only about the spreadsheet damage stats, the quicker you grasp this the quicker PnW will stop seeing 2/3rds attrition rate from global wars.

  33. I'm actually enjoying something that's put in place on the test server that has nothing to do with the changes being tested: A daychange happening every 4 turns. This actually makes it extremely difficult if not impossible to hold people down long-term because it still takes 60 turns for a war to expire and a beige still gives 25 turns of beige time. You get 6 rebuys in 24 turns which would be enough to rebuild fully during the duration of a single beiges beige time even with the 1/6 daily rebuy. Letting a war expire will also let the target rebuild, because they have so many rebuys that you are basically forced to do enough attacks to beige them to hold them down. I think that would actually get rid of the issue that people would not wanna win wars. Double buys while doable more frequently wouldn't be directly buffed which people have an issue with. The main downside would be that it requires higher activity if you want to rebuy as often as possible, you would have to be online at least every 16 hours to double buy, if you cant be online every 8 to single-buy, but tbh I think that's not too activity requiring. Anyway, it's a bit offtopic since it isn't whats being tested, but I thought it would be worth throwing it in.

  34. I see you failed at reading. He's not capping nukes at 50. He's capping score you get from them at 50. This means nukes 51-infinity no longer add score. You wanna launch em at people over that, go for it, you wanna keep them, go for it, he's not preventing that.

  35. Changing for the sake of change never helps. This impacts at most 10 nations. What are your plans if you do this? 950 nukes refunded? 820 ish nukes launched on the world? You're making a very unnecessary change with no valid reason.

  37. Actually, I agree with most of your statements Bjorn, but I founded Yarr to address the same concerns rather than keep !@#$ing about them. In our 3 years of existence: - We have never screwed anyone - If we took a hit due to a raid, we replaced deposited funds with our own - We have never paid interest on deposits - We lend our own savings - And cctmsp13 devised a way for us to lend people's deposits, have them participate in the decision on who it will be lent to, and then track it all. And we don't take a cut. Where is our profit you may ask? This activity gives us retirees a role in Orbis, a way to stay relevant in our retirement. And that lies at the heart of the problem with banking - as a money making venture, if done honestly, there is NO MONEY TO BE MADE. At best you keep up with inflation, and at worst, the people who put it together feel a sudden pang of entitlement, wig out, and steal the bank, justifying themselves that it makes up for the service charges not charged... In short, a greedy or blingy banker is a future thief. Seb is a member of Yarr now, and of course doing his side deals. You came visiting our Discord, made similar accusations (which I did not necessarily disagree with), but failed to present any evidence, so I asked you to stop, and you did. Yet the problem persists, and reappears on a public forum. If you have evidence of his wrongdoing, please post it here and we can take a look at it. Yarr's credibility is our core product.
