First, Alex has nothing to do with the awards threads which includes both their creation and deletion. The awards were originally supposed to be a fun thing with no real impact on anything what-so-ever. Each year they've been done there has been increased complaining all around which ramped up with an in game benefit, even though it was merely a badge, and has continued escalation in the current game climate. Second, the awards don't actually matter in any way. Since they've become more of a headache than anything else, I'm going to petition the removal of the in-game badges from years past and any official game results based on an entirely player run endeavor. That doesn't mean there's anything stopping players from running their own, but unless Alex or another administrator wants to run such an event there shouldn't be game rewards for such. Should Alex decide he wants to do such then badges should stay, however all player run events will do is cause problems which have been clearly demonstrated this year. If you want to blame anyone for the removal of the yearly awards, thank/blame me. I pushed for their exile based on the negative community response no matter what happened. Please continue all complaints about the yearly awards in this thread to help prove the point of why their gone. tl;dr Official awards are no more -- Feel free to run as many alliance based ones as you want but there is no game run one this year and hopefully ever again.

Locked, because it's difficult to manage bug reports with active discussions. I'll look into it, but I don't think there's any reason to believe cash is being generated out of nowhere. They're using various alliances to transfer funds to prevent it from being looted.

I'm very proud Mythic has gotten a sphere to change their ways and think about game mechanics. However, trying to change the mechanics in a way that will make safekeeping impossible, resulting in the oppressed side of a war to easily lose everything they have, is only good if you wanna kill the game.

The Galactic Republic employs a city based tax system, with cities below 5 are at 30-100, and cities below 10 are 50-100, and cities above 10 are 75-100. We are working extremely hard to grant all cities, even those above 10, through income based off of selling resources to make up for the absence of 100-100 taxes. What makes TGR better than all of the other micros? The community here is extremely inclusive, and the gov does their best to reach out to the members, and accommodate as much as they possibly can to make your experience playing Politics and War better. This probably explains the matter along with what was said above: It does bring about another question though, is this an unintentional exploit of how AA Bank funds can be managed? To me, they are taking advantage of a loophole, where they can stash a lot of money in an AA bank, then quickly start up a new AA and transfer the bank over to that new AA before getting beiged. The only way to really prevent that would probably be to implement some sort of AA age criteria before transferring large amounts of money/resources into that AA. Maybe make the AA have to be 10 days old before other AAs can send in money. I don't know. This is a topic for another thread. I definitely don't fault someone for using how the system works to their advantage. I'll tip my cap to Veins and Dryad for being able to execute that gameplan as well as they do.

I don't really care either way about the rewards, but you must be a pretty miserable person to take offense over a secondary, unofficial award ceremony! I sure am happy I don't have that much emotional investment over a nation sim!

I'm not trying to be mean or anything (especially since we're on the same side), but the treaty of Versaille turned out to be one of the biggest mistake that any nation in europe made in history. It was the principal reason why Hitler was mad at other powers, and the first thing that he said to his civilians to make him believe that non-aryans are bad. Learn about history before you make stupid comments. Also, know that if we make them do whatever we want like that, they'll get mad. Really mad (and for good reasons). And what do you think will happen? At some point, even if it's in like, 2 years, they'll beat us and make even worse terms. Which would be totally normal btw.

Why is GOONS even getting reparations? The stepped in so late and they only attack alliances with zero military,like you can't even give them credit for helping Coalition B. (despite them cozying up to NPO stinky balls) If reparations should be given then both sides should receive. Yarr should also receive reparations for being attacked by 40 alliances despite not being involved on the global. Other countless micros should be paid for being attacked despite not being in the global. The Syndicate should get paid for NPO breaking their treaty and just attacking their procterate. Articles 1-2 are sorta legit.

Thank you for your response. It's strange to me that this could not be communicated to t$ for the first 20 - 30 days. The logs which you claim are out of context are supported by additional logs which are in my posession but which I have to this day kept to myself. They hail from a channel to which your alliances does not appear to have access, and prominently feature major figures involved in the peace process. Our concerns were brought to the public because of a combination of a failure to communicate with t$, what looked to be a (deliberate) frustration of peace talks on both the ketog and t$ front and the receipt of a series of logs (over time) which suppoted the consideration that there might be no genuine interest in peace. The practices which led us to make that post have continued to this day. In light of this, the maintenance of confidentiality which your coalition appears to demand (regarding peace talks) is something we can not uphold without seriously harming our own internal stability as well as our external brand. This is primarily due to factually misleading statements made by coalition B officials prior to our post, which frame coalition A as unwilling to come to the table. I once again implore you and yours to simply meet us, and present the entirety of your terms. We will work with you and walk through them one-by-one. I do not believe this has to be as complicated as it appears to me.

This is in regards to the "we only have surrender/NAP/meme terms" statements? Convenient how that was your party line up until we posted our surrender and things only changed the second you got what you wanted and got us into talks.

Our entry in the Knightfall war was optional. I chose to assist when Partisan asked us for help. Admittedly we considered leaving Knightfall earlier but the decision was made to stay till the end after talking to some people. TKR was extremely persistent and nuked us till the very last day of Knightfall. It certainly did not "end quickly" As for the current war, I originally wanted to assist CoA with their front but three high gov members were on vacation overseas so the plan had to be shelved. Some of my gov members are teenagers; I can't expect their parents to leave them alone at home to fight a war in a browser game while the rest of the family goes on a family vacation.
