Hi all! This will probably come as little surprise to anyone I've really spoken with, but time's come for me to take another step back and do virtually anything other than play this game. No regrets at all: learned a lot, grew a bit, and met a lot of really awesome people. And I'll be keeping in touch with them, so little loss to not log in and push the buttons. I'll pop into VM for a while longer (It kind of seems like a waste to delete a nation with so many amusing city names? :D) and hang around in the CoS discord still. This is a bit late but i was muted since thanksgiving so apologies. However the alliance Golden Phoenix Coalition has merged with the The Manhattan Cartel. The terms of the merge were as followed. Terms to TMC Several government positions will be set for certain GPC members, with another leader position be open for MinesomeMC All members above city 10 will join TMC except Academic Head while GPC will be an academic extension of TMC for under city 10s The Last Resort, a GPC protectorate, will become a TMC protectorate A possible merger name will be discussed by the membership of the merged alliance Terms to GPWC GPC will remain a copyright of MinesomeMC, so GPWC is still under copyright infringement Terms to Pantheon (for Poor Pantheon Conflict) the conflicting alliances will be truced and all ongoing wars will be finished with no new wars declared. Some terms were modified in a reformation of the alliance, and GPC was eventually completely annexed. For those wondering why I did it. The goal of mine was to reach top 50, which I did. Now i was able to retire as an alliance leader and start focusing on some other hobbies including Pirate Island Time and my NatSim Global Regimes. And with a hostile political environment especially with goons and coalition A v. B, i felt the alliance would not survive when I left. So i did what was necessary, find them a place were they can stay safe for a while and recover. It's a fair bit more than a "few" jokes and offhand comments and it's backed up by the actions your coalition representatives have undertaken. That's the larger issue here - that we have not seen any genuine action being undertaken by Coalition B as a unit towards peace. I understand not everyone agrees and that coalitions have differing viewpoints and concerns among different member alliances but your coalition's appointed reps have held an uncompromising stance towards splitting our coalition and undermining our ability to negotiate amongst other actions such as delaying t$'s peace talks. Any one of these actions on their own could perhaps have been overlooked but the combination of all of them, regardless of leaks, have made it fairly obvious that they were not serious about peace during the three weeks we were working with them for. During the same time period, we made multiple concessions in an attempt to negotiate and none of those actions were reciprocated. We've been fairly clear with our stance here but maybe it's gotten lost amid all the recent leaks and drama. We took the first step when we publicly posted our offer to surrender. We have not rescinded them. None of what we're asking for is ridiculous or uncalled for and we made these overtures in private first. If we thought leaving it at that would have sufficed, we wouldn't have come here, but between how our requests were handled there and the narrative that we were the ones delaying talks despite all our best efforts to negotiate and come to an agreement with your coalition, we felt like publicly addressing our issues and concerns and making clear the progress of negotiations up until that point was necessary. We are willing to negotiate though and we've made it clear what it'll take to get us back to the table. We still agree to surrendering as a term. All we're asking for is for talks to be conducted straightforwardly, with all terms presented upfront and all coalition members included. That's it.

Let me preface this by saying I'm completely prepared and expecting to get downvoted to hell. Your red arrows mean nothing to me, I'm just here to speak my mind. So, TL;DR: There are way too many people on here (especially Col. A) being extremely hypocritical. There's no denying that lately there has been plenty of anti-Col. B threads floating around, really kinda starting with George's "plea", but the current sentiment around Col. B has been this way for a good while. Now, let me be clear: this is NOT in defense in Col. B. This whole post is against hypocrites and I'd be one myself if I didn't admit both I myself and Col. B members have made mistakes. I'm here to say that I'm sick of people on here acting like they'd never/never had done do/done anything wrong. There's plenty of people on here absolutely ragging on others for whatever, but then turning around and doing the same or other awful things. I'm making this post because of what my alliance leader, TheNG, revealed to me today. He was doxxed by Col. A members. While this wasn't a full doxxing (no address, phone number, etc. revealed) it's absolutely ridiculous that someone thought it was ok to leak DM's of him talking about OOC real life stuff. I've never seen this game as toxic as is it now and I've been playing off and on since May 2016. You guys - me included- need to get a hold of yourselves. Remind yourself that this is a browser game and there is no need to try to ruin it for others. Again, this goes for everyone. My message to @Alexis: Get control of this game back. I can't tell if you're just ignoring the problems or have selective hearing, but you appear to be responding when it's convenient or when certain people report something. The discord and these forums are both a mess and you combat them with vague responses, such as your cyber-bullying announcement earlier. I posted a comment on here a few days ago criticizing you and it got removed for "posting in a non-discussion forum", I've received that warning before and didn't have my post removed. There is loads of bias with several moderators and nothing is being done to combat that, let alone the state of the entire community.

Coalition B is literally trying to find faults and use it against Coalition A. Coalition A is literally trying to find faults and use it against Coalition B. Coalition C is trying to play a nationsim. That's a pretty dumb move It would make things worse regarding the peace talks.

The second you made it political, full stop, you lost. OOC should stay OOC, it should not be brought into the game, whether that be leaking private information without scrubbing or driving people out of the game.

So currently when you run out of food you only loose 1/3 of your income. In a long global war this really doesn't have much impact once everyone has 400-800 infra per city. I have been sitting at 0 food for 2 months and it really doesn't affect me much. I believe that having 0 food should bill lock a nation the same way as not having any cash or power in your nation. With this change, it would actually change the dynamics of war quite a bit, and I believe in a good way. During the nuclear phases of the war causing mass drought, food could actually become a factor in the long attrition of a global war. Thoughts ?

As far as I know, those raw logs were leaked from someone from within your own coalition, then released by someone who isn't in either coalition. Shortly after, they were removed, and no one in our coalition has disputed that removal I don't think? Just the opposite. It sucks to have OOC stuff released and I'm genuinely sorry NG is that upset. It shouldn't have happened, but it I don't think anyone intended for OOC stuff to be released in that way, and our coalition was not responsible for it. I'm sorry: I understand your frustration, truly, but you're throwing gas on a fire making this thread with incomplete facts as far as I can see it.

It has been a fun 2 years in this game, guys, but I realized that I can't really deal with the GOONS virtue signalling, and neither can I deal with @Alex being clearly biased and appeasing them any further. It's a sad day for me, as I really enjoy playing this game (have played it on and off since 2015), but well, I outlined my reasons. @Quichwe10 thanks for taking me into TFP, I deeply appreciate it. @Harry Flashman, @Kaz, @Robert Jordan you guys were some of the best friends I made in this game, thanks for sticking around. @The Royalist I really enjoyed my time in Empyrea, thanks for that. @CitrusK maybe I will have to raid you some other time ? To the rest of the PnW community, adios amigos. I am looking forward to @MinesomeMC's upcoming game, Global Regimes, wherein he implements the changes that have been suggested to Alex for long (but he won't implement) and hopefully moderation is more fair and doesn't fall down the SJW rabbit hole. Like I said, I did enjoy playing this game, I shall continue to remain active on the PnW and TFP discord channels, and if, for once, Alex actually decides to make this game and moderation fair for everyone, I would be glad to join back. I've been successfully goaded into an effort post: It's actually not great, if you care about the political meta at all. GOONS, and specifically DNFJ, didn't want to be involved in the war at all. The whole reason GOONS was founded when it was is because it was believed that peace would be coming relatively soon after. Our plan was to continue to take loans from multiple locations and tier incredibly fast to city fifteen all around. TGH's totally disproportional response to two rogue spy attempts convinced GOONS government to enter the war only after negotiations had broken down. GOONS hit TKR in lieu of TGH because hitting anyone on the Coalition A side meant we were involved full tilt, so we wanted to maximize our usefulness to coalition B. So, yeah, at the start of GOONS entry into the war there were some pretty bad beiges by GOONS members as we were all largely new to the game and still learning the proper war mechanics, since they they have died off dramatically. Instead you've giving a group of players that number close to 200 in total; four months of war experience from the founding of their alliance. GOONS is now a militarily competent alliance, as shown by our blitz on Arrgh, Typhoid, and others; let alone our net damage stats (if you are someone who cares about that). Then it gets better, talks stall, GOONS leadership begins interacting with Coalition B leadership on a higher level instead of talking only to NPO. This creates friendships and war-time allies that eventually lead to the creation of Opus Dei and Drinking Buddies. TKR, Rose, Soup, and a few others were simultaneously trying to court GOONS friendship in the post war world. DNFJ personally wrote Drinking Buddies, Opus Dei, the GOONS TKR declaration (and bait by Roq), as well as created the "In defense of" meme post for hitting Typhoid. So yeah, it's gone very well for you. You've managed to create a group of players in a now hyperactive alliance that are 1. War tested & 2. Playing the game solely for their own bemusement at your "tears" in the form of forum posts and ingame messages. TGH spying on GOONS and not being diplomatic when approached is the reason why Opus Dei, Drinking Buddies, and by extension Apex exist. So congratulations, you've managed to play yourself by ensuring that GOONS actually become a hegemonic power in 2020, a power which you've managed to put yourself on the opposing side of by constantly spewing non-sense like this, instead of speaking to us reasonably. As anyone who has dealt with us, have all seen that we are very reasonable, up to and including @Akuryo, @Princess Adrienne, @Leo the Great, @Kevanovia, and yes, even managed to get along with @Buorhann on a radio show after airing our differences (as members of opposing coalitions usually do). As one of the most reviled players of the game, I can honestly say I don't really give a shit about the opinions regarding the war, the leaks, or anything related to it, as it does not change my position, nor the position of GOONS, or even the peace talks honestly. This whole thread is a side show meant to demoralize Coalition B and help spurn activity and excitement for Coalition A.

The only representative for GOONS in the peace talks is me, and our terms have already been leaked. Take it up with the rest of the coalition and leave us alone.

The shocking thing is that this mealy mouthed bullshit is the best damage control IQ could come up with.

To clarify, logs were not the sole reason for leaving. We detailed all our reasons for leaving in the OP of this thread. We put forward a concentrated effort in the face of clear trolling and efforts to tank talks and tried our best to show that we were willing to negotiate and make concessions. The leaks we received back then and those that have emerged on here since have just clarified what we already suspected based on the behavior of your representatives - that they didn't want peace and had no serious intentions of entertaining us. So why should we waste our time trying to do all that if they don't have any intention of progressing towards peace? If that has changed and they're willing to earnestly engage with us, I'll repeat what we've been saying this whole time - we're here and willing to listen and work with them.

Not sure how it is on PC, but on mobile, lists (such as viewing the "nations" page) has the next/previous page buttons at the top of the page only, which doesn't make sense when you're scanning through multiple pages. Please add the links at the bottom of the page, as well.

No coalition has ever held people at war for 7 months and expressed excitement over people quitting before. I'm not sure what you would expect to see in our coalition channel since we aren't in a position to do what your side has been doing and when we were in that position in past wars we didn't do it

One thing I never understood about any online community Ive been involved with (And Im very involved in the League of Legends world... for those of you that know.... thats a toxic place) is that, people love to bring OOC into a game in a negative light. If you're like me, you play games like this and league to get away from all the shit you are dealing with OOC. You make friends. You will get to know about some peoples personal lives, and then for them to just become the victim of bullying when that could be what drove them to an online community in the first place is just pure evil imo... no one is safe sadly. On that note: I for one love doing face reveals and showing pictures of my cat! Shes gorgeous! If anyone ever wants to talk about whatever im here!!!

TFW GOONS doesn't understand what the COPPA or CIPA acts are. Or any other such acts protecting children. If you ended up in a courtroom right now your defense would get you slapped with $50k+ fine per incident. Because yeah, YOU know it's optional, but looking at the GOONS mercyboard channel, nobody else, especially the younger ones being brought in there, do not. Edit: this ignores that Alex, and his company, could also be held liable over it. And this also doesn't account for laws in any other country, where they might be even more brutally iron fisted about it. As I've seen GOONS say, play stupid games, win stupid prizes, it's time for more than just fascists to catch-up to current year. TL;DR - remove the illusion of choice and replace it with an actual one. State right upfront on the tin, none of this mandatory, it's just for fun, and there's another, perfectly good way you can achieve this same benefit, from us, without any of this. Toss in some extra wording imploring ways to protect their identity if they participate, and a judge might actually side with it. Anywho, that marks the end of my ride on the jump on GOONS train. I'd prefer frankly, that you got rid of them entirely, I think. However, I also think no matter how reasonable it may be to demand that, it likely wouldn't happen. So I hope this suggested compromise leaves everyone dissatisfied and not one upset parent away from a federal court. Even if it would give Alex the big news headline he's been waiting for, "no publicity is bad publicity" as they say.

This is an out-of-game forum, so I'm going to respond to you as a human being who gives multiple shits about the well-being of other human beings—sorry if this is an unfamiliar concept to you, I can break it down further if necessary—rather than as an emotionless nation-sim player. I think everybody, regardless of the coalition they are in, can agree that your response to these accusations is both heartless and appalling. A few forum posters presented evidence of you goading players as young as 11 into posting demeaning videos of themselves that expose their IRL faces and thus open themselves up to entire worlds of persistent harassment. Rather than denying the charges, you took pride in having pressured multiple such young and inexperienced players into such ridiculously extreme tasks in exchange for a bit of in-game leeway. Even if these players have personally wronged you in-game, I cannot imagine how you could possibly believe that a self-recording of eating animal food is any way a suitable consequence for their actions. Someone mentioned earlier that it's different pressuring minors vs pressuring adults into these acts. I frankly disagree. It does not matter whether your target is a pre-teen still figuring out how consequences work or an emotionally mature adult that understands the significance of uploading such a degrading video. Every player you encounter deserves to be treated with some minimal level of respect and human decency, and your actions have quite vividly shown that the concept of decency is one you don't subscribe to. Furthermore, it's not just a CN thing that you've left behind in your past. There's proof you've tried to coerce players actively involved in the P&W community into recording similarly humiliating tasks in exchange for the end of this global. I don't care how much pixel damage they've caused you or even if they took your offer seriously, the fact that you suggested this as a realistic path to peace (and have gone forward with executing it countless times in the past) is evidence enough of how severely damaged your mind must be. I'm not a fan of OOC insults, and unlike your coalition's leaders I do not wish my enemies to leave the game. However, I genuinely believe that you're a horrid person and that this community, however flawed, would be better without you.
