  2. A hamster poem they share a name, cute af are both, wolfy leo is my feisty betroth he likes me and i like him back well enough, world domination i left behind to kindle his fur fluff but one day, when we were walking around town, a familiar silhouette walked past down i turned around and caught a glimpse, and i was quite certain it wasn't a Sphinx my heart jumped like it has seen a knife, oh it can not be, but it surely was never forgotten, the first love of my life. a sudden emotion took my body ablaze, too late to hide, my betrothed caught my staring gaze TEsting his patience, he said -- oh the words felt like a noose, we need to go right now or all hell will break loose. but there i was, i just couldn't move and kept staring at the love i've thought i've said long ago -- adieu he turned around and gave me a wink, and it's all it took to have my engagement bethink'd fluffy was furious, but it was already too late this fortunate encounter wrapped my fate. cracking a villainous smile he pushed my fiancee away, hugged me and whispered - our love will never again be led astray, they'll all bend the knee or be a hunted prey!

  3. What was it that we wanted all along? To prevent a hegemony? Minispheres? There was a reason BK was hit and not NPO. BK’s Sphere was the one that leaked the logs. Everything else about NPO was conjecture. We were hoping that you guys (N$O) were still pro-minisphere and rejected the offer from BK to pull the hegemonic move, and yet there was uncertainty. When N$O hit Guardian/GoB, we were upset because it could signal that the conjecture was correct - but also we were still holding on to the hope that NPO/t$ would ensure they stuck to the rules of engagement and perhaps use the situation to make it a multiple front war to follow through with the ‘Minisphere’ ideology that we had been gunning for. When NPO hit TKR, everyone’s heart sunk. Not for the outcome of this war, but what it could mean for politics post-war. T$ withdrawing didn’t earn them points, but at least it showed that they weren’t pro-hegemony.

  4. This is ridiculous. The script captcha is there to prevent cheating, and now when players don't cheat someone complains about it and now it becomes an issue even though it's hardwork of clicking? It's been unfair to players who went VM that the players still freaking age, I've suggested it to you a long time back, and now suggestion to limit the amts of play or reduce the amt to earn?! That's gone too far. And please, not everyone that plays baseball are from NPO. Some people played it way too early from the start. Baseball is the one thing I refused you to touch on and instead of focus on other important areas of the game! There are people like me who plays baseball by heart, and hard earned time on it, for the fun. Not everyone are playing 10,000 games a day. I said this because I invested baseball as slow as possible, doing it my slow way of reaching 100% rating, and having the fun to join the baseball community to interact with the other players. At some point, someone still does earn a billion for doing baseball, but someone also sacrificed for their time doing those earnings, and cutting it off is way too unfair for those who put their time on baseball through real efforts. Baseball is not intended to earn billion this way? What? Did it account that these figures are the hardwork of those who spent it 4 years straight on baseball and not just some cheaters to achieve it in means? Did it account the fact that players actually do tipping from the money they earned to the others who played their games as a fair share of trade? When most baseball players are doing according to fairly tip rules, you want to implement a limit of someone who loves to play baseball? This suggestion benefits heavily to those who hate baseball and find it a waste of time, clearly unfair to those who actually spend real time and effort on it. What's wrong with doing it with real effort? What's wrong with earning it by clicking? Even if it's 10,000 games per day?

  5. I'd say after the first "x" amount of games it goes down in profit exponentially, I'd recommend 500 games per day at normal profit and then it goes down from there

  6. So since some things are regular occurrences lets make a fun game out of it. I will use lottery between people who guessed this one correctly and the winner will get 2 credits, runner up 1 credit. Also additionally calling for predictions on what will be NPO's next spin on OWF. Post it below and if you see them starting to push your narrative let me know. $3mil for first 3 correct guesses.

  10. So many things... Sheepy: Won't give us a one click button to upgrade players because he wants the clicks. Can't or won't fix the server lag. Can't or won't fix the bug that allows extra actions against nations. Can't or won't fix the issue of planes being over powered because they can kill everything but only planes can kill planes. Totally ignores the fact that the trade system is broken. People make way more money from trading than they do playing baseball. If you are going to nerf baseball you damned well better limit the number and size of trades people can do per day because most of these mega whales sure as hell didn't get that big playing baseball. Yes I have made over $10 billion playing baseball but it has taken me 1,340 Days to do so, that is around $7,536,398 per day. People can easily make more than that in a single trade. You have many more pressing problems than the money people make playing baseball, How about you work on fixing them first.

  11. Below is bad analysis and comparison of PnW and real world military production and standings. Proceed at your own peril. Fun data sources: Modern stats: https://www.globalfirepower.com/armor-tanks-total.asp WW2 production stats: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_production_during_World_War_II Soviet tank factories: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Soviet_tank_factories USA WW2 aircraft factories: http://acepilots.com/planes/factory.html Note: Tanks listed below includes only combat tanks, not armored fighting vehicles. Also, sources aren't cited when used, but it shouldn't be difficult detecting when each is used. Some modern stats Russia 21,932 tanks 142,122,776 people 6,480.155754149188 people per tank China 13,050 tanks 1,384,688,986 people 106,106.4357088123 people per tank USA 329,256,465 people 6,287 tanks 52,370.99809129951? people per tank North Korea 25,381,085 people 6,075 tanks 4,177.956378600823 people per tank India 1,296,834,042 people 4,184 tanks 309,950.7748565966 people per tank Israel 8,424,904 people 2,760 tanks 3,052.502536231884 people per tank Ethiopia 108,386,391 people 800 tanks 135,482.98875 people per tank Some observations. The most populous nation in PnW at the time of typing is Wampus (16235) at 20,358,053 people. If the above ratios were used to determine this nation's standing tank count, it would be somewhere between 60 and 7000. Currently this nation is 43,050 tanks strong. A number equal to about half of the total amount of tanks USA produced during WW2. Also worth note is how Wampus has 206 factories to Soviet Union's ten during WW2. Soviets of which made 119,769 tanks through the whole of WW2 using only those ten factories. If Wampus was able to make tanks as effectively as Soviets per factory, his 205 factories would have produced him 2,467,056 tanks throughout WW2. Additionally, USA had 40 aircraft factories during WW2, while Wampus has 205 facilities capable of aircraft production. 295,959 aircraft were made by the US by those 40 factories, and again if Wampus could produce at the same rate per production facility, he could have made 1,516,789 aircraft throughout the entirety of WW2. If we are to assume 7.5 days pass with each update, with each factory producing 50 tanks each update, each PnW factory is producing 6.67 tanks each ingame PnW day. If one factory were to produce at that rate for a year, it would produce 2,433 tanks. If all of Wampus's factories were to produce at that rate for a year, they would produce 498,833 tanks. Keeping in mind that the Soviets produced 119,769 tanks throughout about five years of WW2. That's each factory producing about 65 tanks a day compared to Wampus's 6.67 tanks a day. Real life tank factories are ten times more efficient than Orbis factories going by these numbers. Similarly, one aircraft production facility in PnW can produce 0.4 aircraft a day while a USA factory can produce about 4 aircraft a day. Again the ten times efficiency difference comes up. And let us not overlook how Wampus has 43k tanks but only 3.6k aircraft while every major military power during WW2 made just as many planes as tanks if not more and all modern major military powers at worse keep a ratio of about 1 plane for every 4 tanks. A possible disclaimer being many of those WW2 planes were trainers. Thank you Wampus for being an example, and congrats on having such a big nation! Some thoughts. Populations of nations in Orbis is funky. I'd be curious to see the total world population. Relative to RL historic factory counts, the amount of factories present in Wampus's nation is incredibly high. Relative to RL historic factory production, the factories present in Wampus's nation are incredibly inefficient. Relative to RL historic numbers, the ratio of aircraft and tanks present in Wampus's nation is incredibly skewed. Relative to RL modern military standings, Wampus's standing military is incredibly high. The amount of tanks a nation can house probably isn't related to the number of factories they have but probably more related to their storage ability. Some questions. How would a PnW with ten times more efficient factories look? How would a PnW with ten times fewer factories look? How would a PnW with five times the current aircraft count look? Would it be more fun to increase the importance of factories by limiting their number per city to say one? Would it be more fun to be able to produce more military, faster? Would it be more fun if military capacity wasn't linked to military production? I wonder if manufacturing and trading military units would be fun or fit? I will conclude by saying now that PnW is a nation simulator or at least I believe it is, so looking at real world examples to build and design its mechanics isn't unprecedented and actually should be expected.

  12. Good evening, I am prefontanned and welcome to Terminal News Hour! The award winning news station bringing live footage to your basement. We broadcast to you from a secure, unknown location. Terminal News Hour prides itself on its unbiased, unflinchingly honest reports on controversial scandals during times of war. Our network has boots on the ground in all major alliances and has often been lauded to be first to the scene. And we are about to get better. Terminal News Hour is ecstatic to announce that it has been acquired by an anonymous fund intent on elevating this rag-tag news station to the last bastion of free speech and objective reporting in a world troubled by hurricanes of false narratives. Our new benefactor believes in the fundamental right of every man, woman and animal in this bizarre world to access to information. To that end, Terminal News Hour's funding has tripled and our team has been strengthened with an all star cast of reporters who work around the clock to differentiate the truth from IQ. The new management has determined that Terminal News Hour's new direction requires a refurbishment, including a new face. It is with a heavy heart that I, prefonturn have to at last walk away from this fine organization. I would like to thank my Terminal Jest colleagues for their steadfast support over the years as we made a difference, however small, in the world of mass media on Orbis. With all that said, please allow me to introduce your new host for Termi..... Greetings, friends! And welcome to Habsburg News Hour! That's right! We are rebranding to Habsburg News Hour! Why? Because of reasons that have nothing to do with filling my pockets. I am Fraggisan, and I will be your HNH host, bringing you all inquisition-related news! Yes, Inquisition related. We are going underground so you won't have to. With these NPO guys betraying people left and right, murdering the truth in their stampede for supremacy, someone has to stand up and orate about the virtues of truthfinding. And we will do just that! Scandals! Objective reports! Gossip! We'll cover it all over the coming weeks. Fear not! There will be laughs and tears along the way. You will learn to love us and hate IQ. You will learn the truth and we will decipher roquentin's posts together. Friends, this was our first broadcast. Stay tuned and see you soon! Pragglesan out!

  19. Yea, that’s called diplomacy. You’ve literally just outlined that we have actively gone through periods of war and peace, toxic hostility and borderline friendship with people you maintain we’ve always been buddy buddy with. You’ve also revealed we are bigger than our egos and can make amends and work to overcome our differences. We’re not married to any idea. There were times we were really entertaining approaching NPO in a serious manner to open up relations because we had hope after the dissolution of IQ. The fact that it took basically one instance of you perceiving us to be colluding to have you throw the idea of a new dynamic out the window shows how little effort and faith you put towards shifting NPOs FA outlook from the status quo (IQ).

  20. First of all, I appreciated the trademark of ‘the real bad guys’. Second of all, in the bold - you just called yourself a Hegemony. You did exactly what you outlined. You had planned a war with BK on us. Whereas KETOG went to war with Chaos. So.... Great Job! playing yourself

  22. lol what? were we watching the reaction to t$'s DoW on Grumpy-Guardian in the same universe? Everything else has already been hashed and rehashed and no one is going to convince y'all otherwise. As much as you're convinced we have it out for you and will interpret everything you do as hostile or terrible, the same can be said of Coalition B's responses as well. This is all utterly unproductive, and I vote we just listen to Pre and log dump everything and let it all hang out. Sphinx is one of the few people who will read his own clear cut public logs and deny them, I like to think the rest of us are more reasonable.

  23. Um...How about just leave it alone? Has there been a vocal majority of players, demanding you nerf Baseball? Is that the highest priority thing out there? Do you enjoy frustrating the people that play your game and in my case, donate to your game? Why even ask us? No one who plays baseball wants you to nerf it...the rest of the people don't play it, so what's the issue? In the last two and a half years i have been playing this game you have added two projects, made a few cosmetic changes and threatened to nerf baseball. That's about it. Why not develop the game instead of taking away a portion of the game some people enjoy and others don't care about?

  25. I can speak on behalf of Chaos, not KETOG. However - From where we stand: All you have is conjecture on what war would “eventually happen”, we have cold hard proof that there was a war being planned against us. If you want to make KETOG out to be the bad guys, and they wanted to roll BK (providing you have proof). Then that’s your prerogative. But to say that t$ and Chaos colluded with them beforehand to bring down BK and NPO is absolutely ridiculous and has a basis in nothing other than paranoia.

  28. i like that idea. make it into a stadium upgrade like searing. call it Marketing, it adds a small amount of profit to each game...say a max of 30k with the upgrade and sends 33% to away team. make it automatic, no clicking any option. this allows a home team to make a max of 20k and the away to make a max 10k. add in league play and you have what you intended. a fun distraction for players to spend time in while waiting on turns to pass. i keep seeing these BS comments that those of us playing baseball are pulling money out of thin air and you dont like it because we didnt raid or trade for it and therefore dont deserve it. im number 22 on that list Alex posted and ive been playing nearly 2 years. its a mind numbing slog that gave me a chance to earn something if i put some time and effort into it. just because you dont have the testicular fortitude to do the same dont take it out on us. the only reason this is being discussed is because a few butt hurt individuals are mad because things arent going their way. just shut up and try and lose this war with some dignity

  29. This is utter BS...Baseball is good the way it is dude. Don't nerf or remove it. Judging by the same logic you should also remove the "buying land during naval blockade" feature but I don't see anyone complaining about it, right? Just leave the damn game and don't "improve" it further

  30. I'm guessing you will nerf trading next? I'd like to see a table on how much the highest earning Nation has made from trading, please. Keno too since people have hit the jackpot a few times. Their earnings will be higher than anyone has achieved through baseball. There is a miniscule amount to do in this game. Only a small amount get to play the Politics part, the majority get to play the war part. The only other things available is trading, baseball and keno, with baseball being the only real inter alliance community building aspect of those. The amount you make from baseball isn't really that much and you need to spend a lot of RL hours on it.

They stuck to their word, which was impressive to us. It didn't completely let them off the hook, but it went a long way to pave the way towards reconciliation. It also helped they got absolutely smacked by Grumpy and Guardian. No that is scarf.

  36. I want to clarify something, I did indeed play while on a voice chat, however my opinion of it differs greatly. Anyways so my opinion on the matter is simple, smaller nations in the game are at a huge disadvantage, its hard to get to the mid teir or higher in a relatively decent rate, and most alliances wont build you at a very quick pace. when your new I think baseball is a great way for newer nations who want to put in the time, to earn money in order to grow at a quicker rate. As for the larger nations, I dont feel there is enough people making a significant amount of money to justify nerfing it. A few people made a huge sum of money, cool but with that way of thinking we might as well nerf the market so you can only post 10,000 items and the ppu is limited aswell.

  37. The problem here is the NAP, at least for me, because you can trust Chaos on the NAP, you can trust KETOGG, you can trust the brave and beautiful coalition, but you can't trust NPO anymore, and if you can't trust the biggest alliance controlling more than half of the game on the non-written rules you basically killed the politic part Disband (even if this means no more stats site) and I accept that offer from the others, including the infra cap If I take the annoying BK gov over you it is really the time to ask you what you are doing with your game life
    3 points
  38. Also dude, I got rich from Baseball but I only have $400,000,000 on me right now, so honestly, if someone earned 2 billion, that is not that much. This game is simply expensive, plain and simple. And then you have to TIP that person 50% of your earnings if he's only playing you, and 30% if he's playing like 10 people. Don't forget, the Aways player doesn't earn anything. That halves/reduces your real net income. So factor that in. So for example, that post that you posted about someone earning 2 billion, the reality of that is just 1 billion.

  39. It's a known issue, and I'm working on a solution. The biggest issue, and the reason that this hasn't been fixed, is that I can't seem to replicate it myself. I'm not sure how or why it's happening, which is making it a very slow issue to debug. I've tried a number of fixes, but I've been forced to take a "wait and see" approach because I can't test until it's fixed on my end. tl:dr - The guy let me know right away, and I don't think anything malicious is happening. I'm working on fixing it.

  40. The problem here is that BK on multiple occasions showed willingness to follow through on that hostility with military action. The first sign on that was the knightfall flareup, which nearly compromised the entire war effort. The problem with these flareups is that NPO has at no point been willing to openly back The $yndicate over BK. You remain mute and allow BK to leverage t$ out of political position because you fear the loss of your BK contacts and the security those provide. I have always been pragmatic about these things, and I understand that you are looking out for yourself and your alliance. But when it backfires as it did just now and shit hits the fan, pinning the degeneration of relations solely on t$ is disingenious at best, and malicious at worst.
    3 points
  41. You do realize that BK being hostile to everyone means that they are indeed hostile to us, and as an ally of tS that should be problematic to you?
