So, NPO defended my alliance (Black knights) on the grounds of respect. Which I'm finding amusing to believe since we dropped our treaties with them? So, as you know, this kind of behavior should be expected from a micro, and uhm... a surprise coming from NPO? Sure, a TCW member shitposted and called them secret allies, but does that really suffice reason to renew a pact? Also, not to mention we're a giant blob bloc with no vision, right? So, you shouldn't of taken too much concern over us with all the numbers. We clearly didn't know NPO well enough, we launched prematurely actually, and only did so because Sphinx had bad opsec. Clearly their disclosure was more important, and over time, Sphinx seems to have turned TCW into Pantheon. We had a misunderstanding over a members identity, since I had assumed it had been an old friend (Bad Company), and it's 100% my fault for not checking who it was but /shrug I find it funny. Bad Company, got pissed off, thinking we were all shills.They got mad, due to the fact they wanted to war dodge and side with TKR, over members voting like the usual. NOTE: we don't even know if this member was inactive or actively war dodging, this is all implied over my mistake, which I told everyone like a million times but they ignored me. This of course, eventually developed into a full blown issue, and only popped after a member of ours spammed "ayy lmao, reminder to disband your alliance and join BK" Ironically we had already informed NPO that this shitposting would probably lead to somebody like TGH, TKR, KT, or even Kosmo (he's always high strung) being triggered and wanting to hit us, and Roq said it was fine. We would figure Roq would be aware it was just banter, and that I would figure they were used to this shitposting, considering most of Orbis does it. I would realistically make this longer and give more reasons as to why we feel respected, but I don't realistically care enough.

Alex, We literally can't do jack shit at any time and it is creating massive problems in the middle of a massive war. We all refuse to politic, so we really only have the war part right now. If I can't get on and flash buy, or it takes me 30 minutes to execute an attack at update but my opponent happens to be able to get off 3 attacks before I load a page it creates a massive problem. It also causes many of these "You bought at the exact same time issues." Today at update, I purchased 5k tanks with my limited money so I could execute attacks against 5 opponents and re-fill my warchest. I paid for 5k tanks and they disappeared into the ether with all of my resources. There is literally nothing you can do to make this better. I waited 2 days to execute this maneuver and your system fricked it. So what do I do? You can give me my tanks back but they will get airstriked. You can give me my resources back but they too will be airtstriked. Why is it taking so long to fix this issue? @Alex I've gone into vacation mode because there is literally no point in playing during a global war if I can't war.

Just FYI Keshav (Why the hell haven't you changed your name yet?), I'd lose far more by revealing my source to Krieg than what I would've gained over a pretty irrelevant topic. That's why I didn't continue on that discussion, let alone reveal the logs I have about it. It would've done me no good. While in this situation, your whole entry to the war was something dastardly that TKR supposedly plotted about. Which is a pretty relevant topic, a major one at that. One that would easily have alliances question TKR if it was true, let alone their own membership would have some stuff to say about it knowing them. NPO's entry into the war is one of the major turning points of this conflict. It's a pretty solid area of contention considering all the supposed "We're not tied to BK/Cov" "IQ doesn't exist" etc. And the fact that KEGOEWORUIPOGIUOIPUSDOIRE basically straight up told your leadership that N$O isn't being held accountable for the TCW leak. So having N$O enter the war for whatever made up reasons, well, why trust anything that N$O says now? Unless you have something substantial of dispelling all of those questions. Huge difference between this situation and the situation I had with Polaris over a year or so ago.

People might not be aware of it, but there is a general rule for the forums called "Moreau's Law", which states that the amount of idiocy and drama contained on these boards should double every single week. Thanks to threads like this, we've never missed a week. God bless the OWF.

This is another example of the “paranoia” tag that people give NPO. You guys claim it’s OOC, but it’s posts like these that fuel the narrative that you guys are paranoid. In reality, I don’t think it’s paranoia - I believe you keep spewing out things that are untrue on purpose. Example: IQ broke up before tCW officially split with TKR. Chaos was founded April 1st and IQ dissolved Shortly thereafter. Commonwealth had not yet signed a different treaty with anyone else and was under Chaos protection. We didn’t know they were signing with BK until right before they did, if we had known I doubt we would have granted them 2 months protection. This makes your story rather hard to believe. Sure there were likely talks with tCW to hit IQ, but it would have been before IQ dissolved. It’s hard to hit something that doesn’t exist. You have made TKR to be “the big bad” for a long time, when in reality they weren’t the major voice in Chaos leading up to where we are now. Either your narrative is full of fallacies or you are lying through your teeth. (OOC: I realize this is a game, and that’s part of it. Even if NPO is lying, I hope we can realize that it’s RP and not get all butthurt IRL about it. Due to the recent concerns of toxic behavior, I feel it is necessary for us to take a step back and understand this is a game. No need to be actual asshats.)

I said that not disclosing means that it has it's own set of consequences. I didn't think I'd need to be so painfully obvious about it, but that means people won't believe it. Buo was saying he didn't care whether Kriegs believed him or not on his Vanguard leak as a result of his non disclosure. The difference between both is, though, Buo isn't devoting his daily time to convince people on the OWF of his leak being legit. You on the other hand, are still arguing ad nauseam on a topic that had substance to be argued on for two weeks max, not two months. Another difference is that Buo plainly accepts the consequence of his non disclosure (to be fair, it's not a particularly harsh penalty), while you don't and feel the need to, again, discuss about this two months after the fact because you want to have your cake and eat it too.

Our long sleep has been interrupted by a few alliances. Not sure of all of their names, Back Knights and the Sidekicks or something. Pretty cheesy band name, and not half the racket you would expect. Maybe they are just upset that they weren't invited to the party. It really was quite a party - took 2 years to sleep it off. Anyhow, nice to fight again, and we will be disregarding the advice coming from vocal subs in some places.

In fairness, that happens to SK in most wars regardless of the state in which they enter.

I mean the logs/chats haave been disclosed to enough people who are involved. I don't need to burn the person with a public disclosure anyway. The IQ/ Sphinx peeling off from TKR to help peel IQ allies away while maintaining a close relationship with TKR logs were more an icing on the cake and was something we believed was planned for. We've reasonably backed up our entrance to this war, pointing out in a complex set of walls of texts our reasoning for the same through out this thread. The conversation Adrienne had with people was a confirmation that made it clear on how things were going to play out, so yeah I mean it's beyond reasonable doubt for us that TKR were a threat and the conversations that existed proved that we'd be best placed to hit now. Our actions stem from needing to secure ourselves and nothing else. The fact that we received specific information around when BK was hit, meant that was an active goal and we delayed our entrance given that we shared the intel with those who required it, to have a conversation regarding it. The logs that we did share, while a bit older, was to showcase a plan by TKR/Chaos originally to have Sphinx/tCW to peel away BKsphere and weaken IQ and turn around to hit them. The point behind that was to showcase TKR's behaviour not with just IQ as an actor but the idea of having tCW as some sort of Benedict Arnold, which combined with a litany of other information and the logs we received, ensured that our best option was to enter during this war. Those logs are often misconstrued as our CB, when they are not. Also fyi, just following Buorhann's advice regarding revealing our sources/logs

The early war lag was quite bad for both ways. A bunch of people on our side missed their wardecs and/or plane buys as a result as well. It was like that for a week or two until someone fixed the code. Then achievements were added and it's gone to shit again. Idk about you, but I'd much rather have a functioning game than some "achievements" of which a solid 75% can be unlocked by basically anyone.

They don't contradict. I wrote a much longer post about this and it sort got brushed aside. The war was started for fun on Chaos because the main target there was animosity towards considered not viable to hit at the time and there was a desire for war. There was no political basis for the war and it was openly said it was because Chaos knows how to have a good time and other alliances don't(basically us for not doing stuff). Chaos accepted the war and there was minimal antipathy aside from culture war incidents. The only alliance where considerable tension erupted was CoS who have Valinor binded to them and there was a specific incident there. The damage was done yes, but it ended up being beneficial. At one point, rumors of peace in the war began to circulate and it also became known the status of several Chaos alliances was in question and members had begun scouting new homes. Then magically the Rainbow screenshot was posted, and then with nothing to lose the people who dislike BK/Cov are actually able to hit further down than they could before due to loss of infra. Feigned outrage and indignation results and any supposed differences magically fade away. The Citadel leaks then revealed there were people mobilizing ahead of the screenshot.

Treaties mostly exist as public announcements of an alliance's foreign ties. They characterize those relationships somewhat - ODPs aren't the same MDPs - but, in practice, the actual language of most treaties is all but ignored. Because treaties aren't used as reliable generators of acceptable casus belli, they're not particularly relevant as mechanisms for fighting wars. War coalitions are instead determined by personal relationships and shared priorities, and alliances' entrances into wars into wars are almost never explicitly justified by treaty clauses. It's interesting to me that some of the same people who are quick to decry neutrals, deadbeat protectorates, and pixel huggers in general seem to feel it's an entirely different matter if someone is "retired". If the extent of someone's retirement is great enough that they don't even want to fight wars, they should strongly consider entering vacation mode, or at least find protectors capable of deterring potential aggressors. It's what everyone else has to do.
