i appreciate the attempt at polish, but I don't see how you can sell this as anything other than an effort to impede our war effort. I mean. I'm not fan of what Grumpy and Guardian have been doing politically, but there's only one answer to the question of "why this moment", isn't there. Ok, so, 2 damaged, mutually fighting spheres team up for a sudden, unexpected battle against a relatively even opponent. After almost totally annihilating each others' airforces, spies, and infrastructure. Said opponent starts losing, so the alliances that are ostensibly being protected by said opponent turn around and desperately attempt to protect their protector themselves Even that doesn't work, so the sphere that supposedly split off from said opponent decides to 100% backpedal on their super well-published, "long-awaited", "inevitable", "totally real" split and rejoins their old ally, alongside even MORE allies. And the punchline? You're still not going to get net positive damage! And even better, we're probably going to be able to ease up on our beige restrictions! Great job, you've made the war infinitely easier for us, and now there's even more that'll need to surrender and under even worse excuses

P.S. Accusations of "saltiness" from either side in any war are lazy, outdated, and simply a cop-out from having an actual debate. Please put some actual effort into this.

Ah yes... the age old "fair fight is pointless" argument. Sure, if your entire purpose is to create a powersphere great enough to dominate the game so you can sit in circles telling each other how great you are, then yes going into a fair fight is pointless. However, if your purpose is to create some atmosphere of uncertainty about war or to create an atmosphere where war is more abundant so there is more activity in this world, fighting to break apart the powershperes and allow for more dynamic war structure that doesn't rely on who can pull the most treaties is actually more useful and productive. So the real question is what do you want to do? Sit in a circle jerking chains on how awesome you are, or actually playing the game and proving how great you are?

Correct, Chaos+KETOG+Rose won’t be around after this war as a coalition/allied grouping. The alliances in our coalition like to contribute to Orbis without stagnating the game. Judging by the alliance you’re in, I understand that dynamic gameplay may be a foreign concept to you. You don’t have to be allied to the same alliance for 2 decades/hide behind the skirts of another alliance in order to exist. There are other avenues of gameplay out there. Good luck and have fun.

Grumpy/Guardian alone have complete dominance of the 30+ tier, even CoS an alliance that is no slouch in war by any streach of the immigration was destroyed in a matter of hours by them, t$ is merely doing what its their own Interest in ensuring an already bloated whale tier in Grumpy/Guardian has some form of resistance to their consolidation, and no contrary to the leaks we never asked t$ to do this.

I get it P&W is in another world war, but my nation is a trading nation only. I only fight back when attacked, I do not attack other nations. I am only in the alliance I am in so that when nations attack I can get backup. I don’t know how you fell about wars but considering you attacked me I figured you’re the kind of person who enjoys it. That’s fine when it doesn’t affect me if you actually want to fight a war I can point you to a few people who enjoy that part of the game. I however hate the war part of the game. As a result whenever a nation attacks me I place and embargo and hand their information to my alliance for people who like to raid. I’ve been informed that you currently have your war slots full but Acadia raiders will probably give you trouble for the rest of the war until the war ends or you have someone within the alliance asks on your behalf for you to be left alone. I’ll be online every day this week to do as much damage as I can to defend myself. But we can end this quickly and peacefully, and I’ll remove your information from war suggestions if you accept my peace offer or send me one yourself should you regret your decisions later.

I'm not sure why people are saying KETOG+Rose+Chaos are outnumbered when they are clearly 3 spheres and Memesphere+N$O is only 2 spheres. Last I checked 3 is greater than 2 and even if N$O joins in full we're still the underdogs and when we win it will be due to skill and not numbers like our opponents.

It's genuinely fascinating how alliances I used to be familiar with have developed over the years I've been roughly inactive. Genuinely disappointing, as well, in most cases. Enjoy!

And GoB doing that, is proof enough why this is necessary. A game such as ours, having an untouched upper tier, will eventually hollow out the masses and reduce in numbers if there is a constant inflation/hiding behind tiers that take no damage. Guardian have a bunch of folks within the 4k NS range who were not effectively hit, leaving another range of individuals untouched. At the end of the day, there are only a finite number of members that tS has to take on specific tiers, and can only use them as efficiently as we can. That is a real problem, and tS is here doing something about it.

Quick update; I know there's lag happening recently, and I know it sucks. I'm working on getting that fixed; I'm also away from home for the next couple of days. I'm working with ss23 to see if increasing server capacity is actually going to help in the short-run, but in the long-term it's going to take some refactoring to better optimized code to resolve the issues we've been facing. -Alex

It has been brought to my attention that some people are having trouble understanding the limits of this engagement. All new declared wars will be limited to Guardian and Grumpy but they will not limited to the Syndicate (as described regarding affiliates). At least as long as Rule #3 is followed. We will be relying on our affiliated assets to challenge what is the most tightly consolidated grouping of whales this game has to offer at present. I've also received numerous complaints that this is opportunistic and all I can say is yes. Yes it is. My sincere apologies for the discomfort that results.

Is anyone surprised that when the chips are down "We're not tied to IQ in any way" comes to bail out IQ-lite? Anyone? At all?
