  5. I have no problem with micro news as far as it's not pointless spam.(I would be angry too if big alliances do that) For "spam" it's orbis central - more general news which some players ignore and put everything in alliance affairs. I think it is easy way to keep clean alliance affairs. You don't have to ask Alex to solve the problem. You can solve it basically on your own. If somebody annoys you here you should just dislike or raid that person in game (or ask another person to raid if you can't) I did both that in the past and felt great. I think I didn't achieve any significant change in theirs behaviour but it was really fun ?

  6. Introduction: An impressive window display featured all kinds of erotic delights. This definitely wasn’t the kind of adventure I had in mind. “Velium, if you want to do a little shopping, I’ll wait here.” He turned bright red. “Oh no! We are going in to meet my friend. His office is in the back.” I heard these types of places had all kinds of unsavory characters lurking in tiny rooms, but as I breathed in the fragrances of strawberry and grape, the place seemed as threatening as a candy store. Then I got an eye full of the various lewd things displayed all over the shop. The shelves were crammed full of boxes of lollipop colored edible panties, whips, ball gags, and an impressive array of gyrating silicone body parts. I couldn’t help but stare when I passed a three-headed !@#$. My mind raced, thinking of the various uses when Velium said, “My friend has bodyguards, so just keep your hands in front of you, okay?” I felt like I was in a movie and had suddenly turned into Scarlett Johansson. I wish. I was shorter and had black hair, but I did have Scarlett beat in the boob department. I kept my hands close to my waist as we snaked our way to the back of the shop. A man dressed in a black suit and sporting a skinny black tie stood in front of a door with a sign that said in English, “Enter at Your Own Life.” The Japanese loved English and usually butchered it with amusing results. What wasn’t so amusing were the two sumo-wrestler type bodyguards that stood on either side of the doorway. Velium approached the suited man and said in Japanese, “Elijah-kun, this is my friend Strea from the Sahara.” The guy screamed Japanese mafia. His slicked-back hair accentuated his cheekbones that jetted out at right angles, and a dragon tattoo peaked out from underneath his shirtsleeve. Every yakuza I’d ever seen in the movies always wore a black suit no matter what the temperature. He was usually missing a few fingers as punishment for screwing up some hit. But from what I could tell, all of Elijah's digits were intact. My adrenaline surged at the thought of actually meeting my movie vision. Funny that innocent-looking Velium would have such a diverse group of friends. Article 1 - Sovereignty The Yakuza agree not to take their business to the Afrikan realm/not to sell Strea to the sex trafficking business lollollol , and the Korps agree not to collaborate with Japan in any efforts regarding the attack on organized “crime”. Article 2- Respect If either the Yakuza or Afrikan cause an issue for one another, by custom one will lose a joint on their pinky finger. Article 3- Defense This friendship will allow for both sides to request armed assistance, if they find themselves in various kinds of “risky” situations. Article 4 - Intelligence All kinds of intelligence not to be seen by the authorities can and will be shared between the signatories. Article 5 - Cancelation If this relation turns out to be unprofitable for any side, a 72 hour notice will be given for a cancellation without any “cement shoes”/ headhunters involved in the matter. tldr: Afrika Korps MDP with the Yakuza.

  7. I don't think a short, calm conversation with Schirm or a call out on the forums after you told us you're not changing anything constitutes as high defense. If what you meant by "Even if some reason y'all came up with some screenshots and it was that boc and all them are liars the article would stay" is that you'll update the article but won't take it down, so be it. Definitely wasn't how that came across in the context of that conversation. My main issue here though is not the article itself. You didn't actually post any evidence against TKR so there's nothing for me to disprove actually. My issue is you wondering why people are upset after you posted a seemingly one-sided article full of unsubstantiated claims and then dismissing it as "well, you should have talked to me then" when you never swung by to talk to them in the first place. No one should be having to chase you down about this after the fact, they should have been included in the story from the beginning.

  17. G'day all. I've written this because I've just seen another micro alliance get flamed for posting a message in alliance affairs that no-one outside of the micro-sphere would care about. My thoughts are that it would be better if there was a section (or whatever you want to call it) for micro alliance affairs. I know I'm in a larger alliance and I probably shouldn't care, but I think this will benefit everyone (and I'm sick of seeing micro news that doesn't apply to me in alliance affairs). For those not in micros: The Alliance Affairs section won't be full of micro garbage that no-one outside of the micro-sphere wants to see. The important stuff (like bullying Polaris, Pantheon, etc.) will be much more prominent. Whilst flaming micro leaders is fun, it can get annoying filtering through the garbage to find the real, important stuff. Plus, if you ever want a laugh, you can just have a look at the micro section and read through the absolute dumpster fire that it would be. For those in micros: A lot of micros don't post on the forums because they get flamed, which means micros don't really get to talk as much as they'd want to. Forums are a really fun part of this game, and micros should get that experience as well. You can share "important" information and communicate effectively, and not get flamed for it. Anyway, that does me - more than happy to hear other peoples comments. Cheers, Skept.

  20. Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was supposed to take serious a suggestion that effectively said "Lets put a large portion of the game into a cage so we can visit and laugh at them". Micros aren't here for your amusement. You called them garbage. Said you're sick of seeing them. You said flaming them is fun. Said they're unimportant. Called the "community" you wanted to make for them a dumpster fire. Clearly you were doing this for them. Entirely to help them. You were no way insulting them whatsoever. Now that you get treated the way you were treating an entire community in this game you suddenly want to cry foul? Go fark yourself. Also, I don't represent Alex. I don't represent this game. I have no requirement to act professional towards those that don't deserve it.

  31. Yeah, I know the title's probably just landed me on a list, but the option to use one's spies to terrorise civilians is really overlooked in this game. According to the wiki page (which is reportedly outdated, but I'm assuming there's been no major rework of this particular feature), at 60 spies against 0, it will deal a mere 34.5 units of infrastructure damage. Even in the best-case scenario, this is clearly not viable as a method of attack, nor is it cost-effective. I'm not suggesting an infrastructure damage buff here; 34.5 units of damage in a 2000 unit city translates to 1.725% of the city destroyed, which is far more than what the worst terrorist attacks in history have done in the real world. What I am advocating is the ability to destroy powered non-military improvements. I still haven't decided on whether targeting specific improvements would be too OP or not, but if targeting was implemented, some improvements should pose varying degrees of difficulty (a stadium is much harder to destroy than a supermarket, for example). I'd be happy for this to be implemented, even if terrorism no longer did infrastructure damage. Although destroyed improvements would be easy to replace in peacetime, it'd certainly add a more dynamic and unpredictable aspect to wartime, as one may need to rebuild infrastructure destroyed in war before rebuilding any improvements, giving militarily weakened nations the opportunity to properly sabotage the enemy, as in reality. However, this has the potential to be very strong, so it'd be necessary to make it high-risk. I don't have much experience in balancing mechanics, so this may not be the best idea. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

  36. If you were butthurt you might continue to speak, like you have, and post a paragraph of nonsense, like you have. The article, as it says in its title, is a Recap of about of month of political/alliance changes - if you were expecting an intense amount of information for every small political maneuver, I am sorry - as it is a recap, it recaps events, provides links to those events for those that might have missed out OR don't want to scroll through the forums clicking links an want to get straight to the OP whilst being listed by date. I do appreciate your feedback, however angry it seems to be.

  38. Using your cost formula, if someone decided to build the arms stockpile at city 30+ their marginal cost would be in the years. This is completely backwards for any project that increases resource production. If you want to stop people from ever buying resource output projects just remove them from the game then.

  40. Currently, cities increase in population linearly as a function of age until they reach 4 years of age, at which point the bonus is capped. It was capped because the discrepancy between old cities and new cities is almost a 50% bonus for the old cities, and the idea was just really poorly thought out (or not thought out) to begin with. This proposal would change the population calculation in cities in a way that would benefit everyone: Cities would grow forever as a function of age. There would no longer be an arbitrary cap. Cities would grow faster when they're younger, and slower as they're older. This will prevent a "runaway" effect for older players, and help newer nations catch up compared to the status quo. Everyone would see an increase in city population as a result of this change. That means increased income for everyone, there would be only winners and no losers, with the biggest winners being young cities. We can represent the existing formula and the proposed formula graphically to see the difference clearly: Where i = infrastructure, and on the x-axis we're looking at the age of the city in years. You can see the purple line is current population as a function of city age, whereas the black line is the proposed population formula as a function of age. We're ignoring factors like disease, pollution, crime, etc. here because they're the same in both instances. As you can see, for everyone with cities less than 4 years of age, it's a pretty significant increase in population to match things up closer to older cities. For a city at 4 years of age (it's not 100% exact but it's damn close) there would be no difference. For cities over 4 years of age, they're capped at that value currently, so they would increase along the black line to some value higher than what they are currently capped at. The slope of the black line decreases as the city gets older, thus the rate of population increase decreases as a function of age. Therefore cities can age forever and increase in the bonus forever with only marginal benefit. This is both satisfying for older cities as they do see some growth, while also not being overpowered. I would expect everyone to support this change, but I've been wrong before and so I'm posting the suggestion here for feedback first. Please offer your comment and feel free to use the upvote/downvote to indicate your support/non-support. Thanks!

  43. Embargoes are an underutilized aspect of P&W, and could become a much impactful area. The solution to this would be to allow alliances to embargo other alliances/individuals. Just as the United States can control if its citizens can trade with Cuba/NK/Iran, alliance leaders should be able to embargo whole other alliances. This would lead to an interesting dynamic and potentially create conflict that could escalate. This would be a new element to trade and create a new political arena with leaders having to balance cutting their own members off from resources, retaliatory trade wars, and the increased tension. This beats the current decentralized nature of embargoes that lacks any real strength.
