  2. Wow Dio this is what happens when you retire you stop paying attention to all the major players. He is the leader of THE Centre of Offbeat Powers. Just read their alliance page, "We fight for unity, strength, honor but in the end, we're all fighting for 2 things. The fact that we have power that doesn't quite fit anywhere else other than one were unified and the fact that we fight for the almighty bird known as The Pheonix" Now you might be thinking something like "Isn't that five things not two?" But counting is for chumps not major players which you would know if you weren't retired smh. Also before you say it, they incorrectly spelled the name of their avian deity The Phoenix on purpose to keep their enemies guessing. A genius major player move.. Silly silly man.

  8. Using your cost formula, if someone decided to build the arms stockpile at city 30+ their marginal cost would be in the years. This is completely backwards for any project that increases resource production. If you want to stop people from ever buying resource output projects just remove them from the game then.

  18. Issue attempting to address: Nothing too major, cities populations currently cap out ~1500 days old. One that's a long time. Two, cities shouldn't stop growing. Three, provides an chance for new players to grow faster. Four, providing another new project to roll out with resource costs. What it does: Increases population growth by 100%. A city would now cap out its population in 750 days under the old cap. Provides an additional population bonus at the time of purchase Was thinking either current infra x 100 or just a flat amount, somewhere between 10,000-50,000 Increases the cap on max population by 200,000 per city. What's it cost: 1,000,000 food 10,000 gas 10,000 steel 10,000 munitions 10,000 aluminum Total cost: ~121,000,000 in the current resource market

  19. Yeah, diversity is cool but you can't just program more things for the sake of diversity. We need to know how they work and how they click with the rest of the game. Explain to us like we're five years old.

  25. If you don't like these projects don't get them. If they push resource prices up it'll reach an equilibrium where fewer people get the projects. It gives people options and that's a good thing, especially for alliances doing targeted growth.

  28. This idea is effectively just a quality of life improvement. I think the idea of a Color Trade Bloc preventing your nation from being declared on is unintuitive. This proposal is simply to remove the color Beige from the game, and instead add a new separate mechanic for nations to simply be "Protected." It would work exactly the same as Beige (no one can declare war on you, you would lose it if you declared an offensive war, new nations would be marked as "Protected" for 14 days, nations losing a war would get time under "Protected" status.) Benefits to this change would be: More intuitive / easier learning curve for new players New nations can participate in Color Trade Blocs without losing protection Less newbies will accidentally open themselves up to raiding early on Protected status could come with it's own income bonus similar to the existing Color Trade Bloc bonus for Beige. Again, the idea isn't to actually change how the game is played at all, just simplify things and help newbies help themselves.

  34. I want VIP members to be able to contribute treasure names/icons that get pulled randomly from an icon and word bank. I wanna see someone get hit by a pirate/people pay 300 million for Shifty’s Lucky Penny or Shifty’s Toenail Clippings.

  35. If you look at it as an individual trying to pay this off the moment its an option, yes it's daunting. It's the same price as their next few cities combined, though it does make the next city itself free and pays itself off a few cities later. This game, however is a team based game. You should be in an alliance by the point of 11 cities. That alliance should be helping you grow. It's much easier for an alliance to pay off this debt to help their nation grow quicker which makes them a more productive and strong member of their alliance. Alliances often run city growth programs in one form or another. If you spent the couple hundred mil in a player growing when the project comes out your alliance saves the cost quickly over their next few city purchase.

  36. It's a good thing they don't cost any money The best part about national projects is that they're optional. If you don't want to buy them, or don't think they're cost effective, then just pretend they don't exist. You're not harmed in any way. Your argument also just isn't logical. How they be so useless no one will buy them AND cause market prices to increase because people are saving up to buy them? Both of things cannot be true. What 5% are you talking about? I think you're over-estimating the costs of the project, and also not considering the large income boosts from the population growth modifier change, as well as the increased daily login bonus. Here are the numbers at current market prices, after the market has spiked in response to the update (I expect prices will settle a bit lower than this in a couple of days.) 39. Given the cost to build a single nuke vs the cost of spies, and that nukes aren't really useful unless in a losing position, at which point you'll likely have no spies to protect them if your opponent is even 25% competent, reverting this change seems kind of counter-intuitive. At that point you might as well remove nukes. They will never be a worthwhile investment.

  48. I've been told by quite a few people that PnW isn't the best place to raise money, but that's not the point. This is a rare chance for our community, that shares these forums and this game, to come together for a common good. The amount we raise isn't the point. It's the occasional opportunity to set aside IC differences, or even OOC disagreements, and make some sort of difference. Whatever we donate here will go to a positive end, hopefully the goodwill generated by this gesture will matter as well.
