  2. A Summit of Birds and Elephants Ellie strolled around the Savannah when she spotted an eagle surveying the land for prey. Ellie trumpeted at the skies and the eagle swooshed down to sit on Ellie's back. "Hey there, I'm Zah! Who are you?" "I'm Ellie. Just Ellie." "Just Ellie? You have nothing else going on?" "No..." "Join me for tea over there," Zah said, pointing towards a small forest on the horizon. Ellie nodded and headed straight for it. Not long after, they arrived and Zah pulled out two flagpoles from behind a tree and stuck them in the ground. "Got a flag?" he asked. "Sure," Ellie said and whipped out a flag showing a black tree on red. Zah pulled out his own flag of a purple portal with his image layed on top and pulled up the flags, letting the wind take care of the rest. Then he conjured up a table, two chairs and a tea set out of thin air and began to speak: The United Empire of Zah'Aharon and the Commonwealth agree to the following terms: Article I: The Commonwealth and The United Empire of Zah'Aharon agree to come to the aid of one another in the event of the other signatory coming under attack. The treaty is non-chaining. Article II: Both signatories consent to share all intelligence that affects the security of either signatory as soon as possible. Article III: Both signatories may, but are not obliged to join the another in offensive operations. Article IV: Each signatory has the right to cancel the treaty providing 72 hours notice has been given Article V: Yui and Therana agree to a temporary truce on the green Vs purple debate. 4. I was going to avoid this thread, because I saw it coming. I’m looking forward to seeing what you two alliances do. With that said, let’s knock out some of the statements made. >1-14 is irrelevant False. 10+ is still relevant. A active core of 1-9 could effectively kill off the low tier growth and recruitment in a war too, thereby stifling an alliance that relies on mass recruiting to an extent but that’s admittedly a stretch of a claim. >We should base our metric on economies I partially agree with this, but keep in mind two things: Number of Nations and overall city count can overcome larger nation alliances. I’m willing to bet BK has a much stronger econ than Grumpy, for example. >lolololol is Pantheon more powerful than Rose/etc???? You’re dumb.

  6. Narrative? Lol. I'm simply showing the numbers and tiers by spheres, fresh after these new treaties. The chart also shows tiers, but here is a more exact look. Like it or not, this move has again made you the biggest sphere in the game. Not sure where did spoiler tags go, used to be an option on the forums. Here's a pastebin: https://pastebin.com/C5P395Du Feel free to correct me.

  7. You are literally the worst fricking public face of an alliance. This thread is proof. You are taking the most absurdly defensive stance in reaction to a graph that shows the breakdown of nations by tiering, with only one comment which is an abbreviated methodology. Literally any life-form with 2 brain cells to rub together could have engaged with that information in a more rational manner. frick man. I just defended fricking Kastor.

  8. Weak trolling, really. Both the graph and the table I posted clearly show tiers, and that was the point of my post. Thank you for avoiding my questions, by the way. I've asked them in good faith, I have no narrative to push here, but you chose to ignore them and instead start a weak troll campaign. I'll take it as no objections to the alliances I listed in sphere tierings, which only further backups the numbers I've posted on the previous page. Congratulations on new treaties and good luck with your new allies.

  10. In few months half of the 1-13 tier will be in the 14-16 range, this is why it's important In war the difference between a 5 cities nation and a 10 cities nation is huge, a competent 10 cities can keep busy three 5 cities nations, but the difference between a 25 cities and a 20 cities is way smaller, 30 vs 35 is even smaller If you can dominate the 1-10 range you can use them to kill the 11-13 range and dominate that too, it's a chain reaction, and you can create a safe space for you damaged nations to recover, then it's just a matter of time until you bring down everyone, we saw that in the last world war And even if there are few huge whales you can't hit the war is won anyway So the current powers based on that graph are: BK&CO >> NPOTS >>>Chaos=KETOG>>Rose>Pantheon (just talking about numbers, competence is another thing)

  13. I am not sure if it's right place if it's not please move it somewhere else. Prepare for bad grammar and complains. My main issue about this game is that too much relaying on community. Every interesting things which are happening currently in game it's up to players. This game is so dull rn that only community keeps it alive. It is sad that game doesn't make any significant progress. There is nothing to do in game rn. No interesting addition to nations or alliances like researches to get bonuses, something like that. Maybe new military unit to make next war more interesting? Idk Why not make something which force alliances to fight more often over some bonuses or sth. People don't fight too often because they don't have reason to burn pixels. How many times we can fight just for lolz or grudges? And maybe some small change from time to time in war mechanic to make every war more interesting? I don't expect huge changes but this game should be interesting itself. Right now, only community keeps me in this game. I really force myself to log in game. I spend more time at discord... Tell me what you think. I am old player not the oldest but totally bored with lack of new interesting content. And yeah I am free to play player so I am not feeling comfortable to criticise it but well...I don't see reason to support this game when I see such stagnation. I only support games which have constant progress. I am tired of trying entertain myself. I did many stupid things but I am feeling burnt out. Ehhh... I expect interesting new things in game. I saw pretty nice ideas in suggestions at forum from members and seems to be mostly ignored.

  16. There’s a huge difference between Typhon/Pantheon and NPO/BK (when the two of you had a strong 10-14 consolidation). That difference is the organization. Typhon can be annoying to deal with, but Pantheon is beyond help really. Whereas BK and NPO showed the threat of a strong organized low tier setting with their organization. I’ll agree though, if Typhon or Pantheon had a really good active gov to organize things - I’d have considered approaching them myself. —————— My side didn’t imply anything other than initially showing an image of where the tiering laid. It wasn’t until some knee jerk reactions occurred that turned this thread into what it is now.

  17. I like buying resources from my friends but it would be easier for me if I could just make a trade treaty with a nation which could work every turn(or day change to be less overwhelming for server), money and resources would be transfer to each other. For example I lose -5k food per day so I could just make an treaty to cover it up.

  18. And therefore I have not said the most powerful, I'd say you share that title with NPOTS. Is that not the very definition of a sphere? Which of the alliances I wrote down under your column would you say are not your sphere? 90% is either directly tied to you, or an M partner of your M ally.

  19. I was at work today and was having a typical day. My coworkers were all laughing at my witty banter and the women could not stop admiring my muscles as I furiously typed away. I was working hard on making sure The Land of Simple was in tip top shape while my boss was not at his desk. But then one of my colleagues politely asked me “What is that war and politics shit I always see you on?” I eloquently replied “Oh haha… It’s uh… like an online game...” “I think I’ve heard of that,” he said. “No you haven’t,” I assured him. My colleague is a fan of strategy games like Civilization so seeing a chance to bring glory to TKR I suggested he check the game out. He then went and looked up “war and politics” and quickly found the site (great job on the SEO Alex). However, when he saw the main page he simply laughed. This was what the front page looks like: He described it as looking like a “Wikipedia-ass game”. Now, while I think this page is this most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, I can understand why some may be hesitant to sign up. Alex, recently you made an April Fools joke about updating the game’s UI. Are there any legitimate plans to do this? I believe if the site looked a little less “Wikipedia-ass gameish” the game would be more attractive to potential players. Just an idea. Yours Forever, Smith

  25. I propose the fight lottery, every week two players from every score range are selected random and they have to fight a 1 vs 1 where no one else can interfere, they can't avoid the fight You can expand the thing to 2 players and 3 players teams, maybe adding prizes for the winner

  28. Honestly, it was a pretty bad April Fool's joke as the intent comes off as saying you won't make a major change to improve the marketability of the game. The UI and app should super high priority if you want to get more players The whole browser game veterans crutch is something you can't rely on forever. The fact that the article was posted 4 days before April 1st was even worse. So yeah I agree with Smith.

  31. That's a good point. I played a lot when I was in the GPA just because the people there we so awesome to talk to. Everyday there was stuff going on in the forums and we would have a lot of community involvement. I feel like I don't have that much anymore only because I've been involved with the wrong crowds. I was inactive for a year or so because of the fact that I was not meeting the right people but the thought of the people I haven't met in this community is so much more interesting than the actual game itself. I think if you find the right people that allow for you to make good conversation, good voice chats, and fun times in the game when shit goes down, it is well worth playing. If worst comes to worst, make your own alliance, find the right people, and take to your ambitions within the realm of mechanics, and just goof around a bit and it makes the game far more interesting than settling down in a big alliance.

  32. The reason is this type of game isn't lucrative enough for a team of professionals to be employed, so a real company isn't going to make one like this. The main downside of that is the person who makes it is usually a hobbyist who manages to get a playerbase so it's not someone who can put out a phone app right away. Most of the other games had admins that realized that it was nothing compared to other potential opportunities(e.g. Project Terra's and Lunar Wars'), so they pulled the plug on their games. The game that was the flashiest in the genre(nationsgame) was more professional but had a lot of glitches that turned people off and there's what happened with steps to war where it was somewhat professional but a disaster and it wasn't the only money-making opportunity for them. Erepublik is fueled by rl nationalism a lot of the time and donations giving you a huge advantage. To Alex's credit, he's at least somewhat involved in the game unlike the CN admin, but the issue is he's divorced from the real gameplay and his activity isn't at the level where he'll make these quality of life improvements or be able to add content. People are donating anyway and he wanted to prioritize his grades. You're totally right that there should be built-in functionality that is sorely missing(like the calculations/bulk infra/etc. and more content for players that isn't contingent on saving up money or resources over time). Right now people that have IT guys have a huge advantage over people that don't and relying so much on the community to provide hasn't always been great(see site slowdowns/api clamp down). So when someone who isn't technical wants to do something, they have to find someone. Even many people that know how to code don't want to do it for a game especially when their programs can easily get broken. A lot of mobile players get turned off by all the manual stuff they have to do. I've advocated for the UI to be changed and for more government-type content to be put in like right now we just have the questionnaire that sets you to moderate/fascist/etc. but it could be a lot more. Approval rating makes no sense as is either and could be tweaked significantly. We'll have to see what he does this summer in terms of his planned interventions. For every potential good change, it's feasible something else gets severely unbalanced.

  37. @Alex if you are going to do this, can you at least give each person 2 seperate api keys, one for public apis (war, alliances/nations etc) and one for private apis (alliance members, bank)? I can't grant edit access to my sheets to anyone now because they'll just be able to open up the script editor and look directly at my api key, then use it to pull whatever private alliance api data they like.

  38. Resplendent Inc hereby recognizes hostilities with the The Commonwealth, but since they're owned by TKR, them too. Despite respectfully asking for a nuclear bounty, we have for too long been disrespected by only receiving a mere attrition bounty. This horrible disregard for human respect cannot go unpunished. Only once Felkey steps down, pays us 50,000,000, or Smith asks nicely, will we agree to peace.
