  1. First of all I would just like to thank t$ for helping Rose whenever we were down we could never repay you for everything you have done for us. I am glad we were able to be alongside each other these past few months and hope to still keep in touch during Rose’s new path. The main reason we felt this withdrawal by rose was necessary was because we do see the fact that with us being in sphere with ts we contribute to an ill notion that they are not genuine in their intent to make a more multi-polar world. This decision by rose to withdraw was made with a heavy heart only because it knows and has been in these positions before and every time it is difficult for us to choose the idea over the friends we have made. We will continue to encourage alliances to pursue these risky steps to make the game more fun for all of us. Here is to more spheres to come.

  2. Embargoes are an underutilized aspect of P&W, and could become a much impactful area. The solution to this would be to allow alliances to embargo other alliances/individuals. Just as the United States can control if its citizens can trade with Cuba/NK/Iran, alliance leaders should be able to embargo whole other alliances. This would lead to an interesting dynamic and potentially create conflict that could escalate. This would be a new element to trade and create a new political arena with leaders having to balance cutting their own members off from resources, retaliatory trade wars, and the increased tension. This beats the current decentralized nature of embargoes that lacks any real strength.

  3. NASSAU, The Bahamas, 2019-04-09: SYNDICATE, Inc. (NYSE:SCC), together with the government of The Netherlands, and subsidiary THE ENTERPRISE (AEX:ES), have announced a joint project to promote the Dutch tulip industry among world botanical societies and herbaria. This project seeks to bring exquisite Dutch tulips to gardens and other places around the world, and SYNDICATE, Inc. has been awarded a significant government contract with the Dutch nation for this endeavor. As a term of the contract SYNDICATE, Inc. has been asked to renounce its holdings of all other lawn and garden entities, to exclusively support Tulips as the official company flower. This decision has asked us to amicably part ways with ROSE (ATHEX:RO), in order to fulfill the terms of this contract. While speculation among Dutch citizens about conflicts of interest and monopolies on flower culture ran rampant, SYNDICATE, Inc. did not take the opinions of the common masses into account when making this joint decision. About SYNDICATE, Inc. SYNDICATE, Inc., based near Nassau, The Bahamas, is the world's leading gasoline, aluminum and munitions distributor for a wide variety of peacekeeping and humanitarian activities. Wholly-owned SYNDICATE, Inc. subsidiary brands include the Coalition, a patent and intellectual property office most famous for protecting their abbreviation tC, and Charming Friends, which provides “labor relations services” for companies and people across the world. 6. I get it, you're angry. It'll be okay. Let's ignore years of history and friendships between our two AAs and just throw them to the wolves after three days, despite the fact that we believe they deserve a solid chance to get there affairs in order (no matter what anyone thinks of there chances), ya? There are actually people who think that way in our alliance, by the way, and I understand your point of view very well but let me lay it out for you: No one tells us how to manage our treaties, and you're likely never going to be close to a position to even influence them, specifically. Pantheon is far (far, far, farrr) from perfect, but that's no reason for us to cave to anybody's opinion of our reasoning. We made a promise to Pantheon, and we will see it through. End of Story. No secret treaties or promises to work together behind the scenes either, 30 days and they are their own responsibility. You may think that is more than they deserve, and that's all well and good but you're gonna have to drool at the fence line until that 720 hours is up regardless so be a good dog, and sit down.

  15. I honestly don't see this keeping them as an ally for the next 30 days thing as a big deal. If it's the price to pay for breaking up the sphere-ish gridlock, that's a low cost in my opinion. I've not seen anything indicating that there's plans to keep a secret tie to them in the future which separates this from the recent similar thing with TKR. It's a long standing treaty, while they likely knew the break was coming before the new ties were announced, they still might want some time to get some new allies as the dust settle. A month isn't going to impact anything meaningful unless a major war was to break out. With such a large shake-up across spheres I doubt anyone is going to rush into a war because they're getting their ducks in a row, and rushing to attack a new sphere might just push people back towards old ties for quick support (which would be bad). I think a month hold over on the ties removal is a good thing, honestly. It's like an amicable breakup. If secret ties, and/or this is being used as a smoke screen to launch a war 1 day or so before the 30 day mark, well then that's a little less honorable. But hey, at least it could make things interesting. At least it's not a 6 month NAP

  16. Aw man this one hurts. Rose were one of our first allies I got to know when I was ushered into the t$ triumvirate. Had some good times with you guys and I truly do cherish all the times we worked together. Don't be a stranger please. That being said the Tulpenmanie has been proclaimed by the great and very dutch Partisan in our market reports the Enterprise is receiving at their headquarters in Amsterdam and for the sake of our bottom line- we had to drop the Greek roses for this very exciting and lucrative business opportunity. As usual, it's just business.

  17. AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, 2019-04-07: SYNDICATE, Inc. (NYSE:SCC) has announced a formal home for subsidiary fund THE ENTERPRISE (AEX:ES) in Amsterdam. Previously dispersed among several world offices, the listing of a second corporate headquarters in Europe for THE ENTERPRISE will provide synergies for further collaboration in the world marketplace. Amsterdam was the winning finalist from a diverse group of candidates; speculation regarding insider trading among certain former executives, and the presence of a lively “entertainment district”, will not be commented on at this time. While results from the direct listing of THE ENTERPRISE onto the AEX have yielded extraordinarily high returns on investment, an initial cost was required to consolidate several distributed offices into one location. In order to fund this consolidation, SYNDICATE, Inc. announced a major divestment in capital for religious organizations. SYNDICATE, Inc. gave formal notice of investment partnership withdrawal with KNIGHTS OF MALTA (MSE:SMOM) with immediate effect. In addition, a seven hundred and twenty hour notice of termination, effective from the time of this post, was given to PANTHEON (NYSE:PAN). While this only leaves one religious organization (CHURCH OF ATOM [NASDAQ:ATOM]) that SYNDICATE, Inc. patronizes for the time being, this current divestment in religious organizations does not reflect an official policy stance moving forward. About SYNDICATE, Inc. SYNDICATE, Inc., based near Nassau, The Bahamas, is the world's leading gasoline, aluminum and munitions distributor for a wide variety of peacekeeping and humanitarian activities. Wholly-owned SYNDICATE, Inc. subsidiary brands include the Elysian League, which designs, markets and distributes tank and missile materials, and Top Gear 2002, which continues to test the limits and boundaries of speed and motion. 18. Well hello there. Marginal Micro Co-Leader Raoul Duke here. Now, I’m no expert on strategery and what-not. I just log in for that sweet 300K once per day and I give Felandia or The Weyland-Yutani Corporation most of my income in exchange for bullets (all you need is bullets right? Those seem to be important.) So I was wondering if everyone had the “Declare war” button like I do? (I seldom touch the thing as it makes my infrastructure go away.) I’m guessing that most people don’t as I constantly see nation leaders shaming other nation leaders for playing it safe and doing nothing in the game except buying bullets and collecting bonuses like I do. Surely if these no Declare War button having- nation leaders were equipped with the Declare War button like I am, they could just declare war whenever they felt like it. Wouldn’t that be something? Maybe if they were in an alliance (like a few of us are), they could talk to their buddies and maybe those buddies might find they had a Declare War button as well. Chaos might ensue! I guess we will either have to talk to Alex and see if we can get these bugs corrected or maybe the people who want conflict, don’t really want to conflict, they just like talking about conflict (I like talking about conflict too, specifically the first Barbary war from 1801 to 1805. Good times!). In the meantime, can someone tell me if I need 4 nuclear power plants or 5 to support 1800 infra?

  19. Friendly advice: as a diplomat, you shouldn’t even attempt to propose, or suggest, treaties in this public a manner, especially not on a cancellation thread relating to the alliance you’re talking about allying with.

  26. Lmao did Pre retire and un-retire again? I really like the dynamic that Pre adds to the game, but I think he's "retired" only to un-retire and become a major player MULTIPLE times at this point. He's the Brett Farve of P&W.

  27. Good luck to all. The biggest differences I see between this and TKR's split with TCW are that TKR's split happened first, and that Rose apparently initiated this drop from their side. I don't see much proof either involves a secret tie. (It's a little odd, considering points you've made about old leaders needing to let go of old grudges for the game's overall health, that you keep badgering TKR about stuff you don't know anything about while supposedly being retired.)

  29. That's a fine criticism. But I think you underestimate how close we are to the few Panth leaders there that we've been working with over the last few months. Plus, this current iteration of the treaty was largely reliant on a close relationship to Fist to begin with which did actually pass on well to Ethos. And I'm not big on the precedent either, but have a serious personal soft spot for Pantheon I'm not even going to try and deny and really hope they can figure something out - maybe 30 is too much, but 3 was certainly too few. And in this "allies but not friends, friends but not allies" world everyone is aiming for I think making gestures of good faith is a necessary " " evil " " when it comes to these maneuvers. We're all at least making a claim to try and chart new waters here, so some things are just going to have to be touch and go. Edit: also, if nobody is actively gunning for anybody else, as you have claimed, what's really wrong with the posterity of an extended cancellation to help a friend move on politically? >can't come up with decent rebuttal >makes lame shitpost from impotent position instead You just know how to shitpost, I'd be surprised if you actually articulated a decent argument tbqh.

  30. You need 4 nuclear power plants for 1800 Infra. Thank me later, cheers.

  32. I'm glad to hear things have cooled within BK. The split on BK's part looks like a move in a positive direction in terms of a more exciting political meta. In terms of grudges, I think working past those is something everyone could do better on. Since the war ended while neither alliance has done a perfect job of being amicable with each other, (TKR has made some unnecessary pokes and BK has uh... looks at the name of the black color bloc) people seem to be moving in a better direction than before the war. So yeah there is certainly room for improvement and with any luck it will improve.

  33. I mean I shared similar goals here: the game had an upper tier and a lower tier gridlock, and I tried some different things to get them broken apart. That's my concern about Pre: TKR has demonstrated a commitment to breaking that gridlock, and as such I think old grudges need to pass a pressure test, or become counterproductive. Without any substance to his claim about secret treaties (and being virtually sure they don't exist, having been involved in so much of this process), that is how I see it.
    2 points
  34. Yeah, I'm not even sure BK can be couped. I probably should have joined Pantheon instead; couping them probably would have been easy.?

  36. It's difficult to make things like this play out exactly how you envision them. As for Pantheon, they’re running out of big, decent alliances they can hide in the shadow of, this might be it for them.
