  1. RECOGNITION OF HOSTILITIES A goofy looking idiot walked up the warped domain. He walked through the streets of Empyrea seeming like he had no clue where he was heading. He knew exactly where he was going, months of being in such a place had filled him with knowledge of those around. He noticed many trying to catch his eye, yet he avoided eye contact. He moved quite flamboyantly, swaying side to side to portray either sexual interest or a drunken stupor. Yet his goal was not that, it seemed like he moved for naught, but he danced to his target. Eventually, he was apprehended, being far too close to the leaders curtains. He glanced at those who gripped both of his arms. He recognized them. Perfect. He smirked towards the two of them. They gripped his arms tighter, fearing that he was going to break free. Yet he made no such move. “I seek thine Gods.” “Thee who seeks our Gods be foolish.” “I shan’t repeat myself, nor stay long.” “Our Gods grow restless. Speak your peace or leave.” “The Royalist, the man who shan’t respond but hears everything, I have important news.” “Why do I behold this jester?” The gloryful James stood in all of his beauty, his face like chiseled gold, and his shirt allowed the top of his chest to show, allowing the world to see the bricks that built up under patches of hair. “I came to bruit rumors about allies long misguided.” “Shall we seek men to levy? Or tear thee asunder?” “I am but a man who is baseborn. You shan’t fear of my lies as I’m already afraid of the sooth.” “What is the benefit of trusting thee.” “War is brewing. Armies come hither. Their armies are prepared to ambuscade.” “Who dare approach the mighty Empyreans?” The Royalist had arrived and he wanted an answer and so his voice resounded through the halls and the other Empyreans, sans James himself, couldn’t help but fall to their knees. Yet, this the intruder stood tall, without the two people who were guarding his arm. Now he moved flamboyantly once again. Moving his arms in non-aggressive motions while he spoke the truth. “Esquire Templar has declared war on the Knights Templar.” “What was the casus belli?” “Recently, Keegoz has partook in treating his handmaids like strumpets. Just yesterday two were declared dead on the spot.” “So, war it is.” “But whose side will we join, Royalist?” James asked, he always asked too many questions. “Esquire Templar, this will be the last of KT being corrupt.” The Royalist responded, his voice as steel as the weapons he carried. “Certainly so. I bid you all adieu, I shall return with news when it happens.” “Halt. It would be a misconception of yours if thee thinks he can leave.” James responded. The man gave one final curtsy. Catching the Chaos Lord Kyle’s eyes when he did so. After that, he vanished without a trace. “Who has the gall?” James questioned, forcing Empyreans further into the ground under the oppressive feeling of James’ anger. “The man whom the world forgot.” TLDR: EMPYREA DECLARES WAR ON KNIGHTS TEMPLAR, AS THEY ARE A BLOODY JOKE.

  2. Eventually this will go full 360 and when KT, TGH and the whole merry band actually go to war no one will believe them till it is to late. That day is when they achieve meme god status and it will be glorious.

  4. I don't spend much time in this subforum, so my apologies if this has been suggested before. I wanted to suggest an increase in the number of alliance government tiers (Leader, Heir, Officer) from three to five, as well as the ability to enable/disable bank access to individual gov members. If five isn't sufficient for some alliances, maybe the ability to add additional fields up to a certain amount with custom titles? I just feel it would make gov organization a lot easier and less restricted.

  5. When it’s a bipolar world you can go on the offensive on the forums since sides are already known. It’s more fluid now so most politicking has moved to back rooms rather than the forum. Now the only times it’s super aggressive is during wars.

  8. It's all a conspiracy to make Dubayoo's experience on the OWF as awful as possible, tbqh. On a serious note, and without getting too far into it, I'd say it has a lot to do with the aging of the game, attrition / retirement / withdrawal of experienced players, and the fact that most AAs right now have well-established brands already. Also the fact that you have to be either be a masochist or sadist to truly enjoy posting in this community doesn't really make this a particularly welcoming environment for the uninitiated.

  10. From the desk of Uncle Traveling Matt The best nation ever, Fraggle Rock Greetings Friends! It's been a while since we have given an update. This shouldn't take more than five minutes to read, and forty minutes to understand. So we're out of our nuke building phase soon. It's true, we can't do it anymore. You cheap bastards have cut off our funding and 700 nukes is fine. Thanks for the cash, giggles, and theft it took to get here. So what's next Fraggle? Great question. Since we are defined by what some consider the dumbest way to build, we are going in the opposite direction. That's right.... conventional build, with a giant pile of nukes in the basement. The power will be turned back on for the first time in three years. Banks and recycling plants will reopen the doors. No more living in the dark and filth we are currently in. We plan to join an alliance. An incredible offer was made for us to run a PR program. We plan to use Fraggle skills to accelerate growth and new opportunities. It's been fun doing nothing for years. Time to do slightly more while not burning the place down. Then again, it's Fraggle, we never go anywhere without matches. Many Hugs, Uncle Traveling Matt

  13. What do PnW players believe in when it comes to gun control? I'm asking because I'm curious if there's a connection between the abundance of pacifism in the game and if players IRL believe in controlling firearms. Maybe there is a connection, maybe there isn't. Let's find out.

  14. Tried out baseball today and its quite flawed, it could do with some simple tweaking. The problem at the moment is that the player that plays just home games earns money way faster than the player that plays away games and this is bad for baseball. I believe tweak 1) below could help make baseball more fun for everyone. 1) Winning team gets 90% of the revenue generated and the Losing Team gets 10% of the revenue generated 2) Tweak the way of upgrading players, its ridiculously tedious to get a player to 100 in all 3 attributes. It needs to be much less time consuming, there needs to be a $200,000 button to add points to the players attributes. 3) Make the match winning prize a minimum of $3000, at moment its dreadfully low which doesn't help baseball and only incentives hosting home games. 4) Add bonuses for streaks without losing a game, like a $30,000 bonus for 10 games without a defeat, $50,000 bonus for 15 games without a defeat 5) Limit the number of games a nation can play in one hour/turn to 50/75/100

  15. Hey, people, some of you know that I came back sometime (3 months) ago and one of the visible change I noticed from the 2016-17 era is that this forum is pretty less active (won't use the word inactive). Although in-game and in discord many alliances seemed to be hyper-active. So any particular reason why? I am particularly missing long Orbis Central threads about in-game politics ? .... Now easily could have asked this to a few old friends but really want everyone's opinion here

  16. The forums are pretty lame, I use them to gauge audience for articles w/ ORB and get some news, but even then a simple RSS feed for alliance affairs that pushes to a server channel limits interaction with other subforums on here. I think mostly everything is on the go, people don't wanna push through threads on a forum when you can just get it in one click.

  17. Before I start anything: this idea is probably going to be controversial. Downvote as you wish; I've got the karma to spare and I'm prepared to receive hate and possibly much needed criticism for this idea. I suggest that we implement some sort of automated alliance recruiting bot that runs on credits. This bot would automatically send a message to each new nation created, the contents of which can be specified by the user. To prevent spam from every alliance, it would cost a large amount of credits (10 maybe? More, less?). Thoughts?

  22. Not a bad idea at all, but like Akuryo said 10 credits is affordable at the moment. Also, will the alliance be charged 10 credits per message to a new nation or 10 credits per 5 messages to 5 new nations? If this idea is built upon I think it can work, but there are recruiting bots out there already to be fair.

  28. You are incorrect about why food is dropping in price. It has nothing to do with alliance stockpiles, it has to do with as the game ages, and nations grow larger, making food becomes significantly easier. Even at its reduced rate, its still easily still the best raw resource to produce, and produce a large amount of quickly. If you really want to change it, i would suggest going from 20 farms per city to 10, and limit the production of food.

  35. Alright here's a few QoL improvements I thought I'd suggest, others feel free to add their own small changes. Nothing suggested should change major mechanics of the game. 1: Get rid of decimals from infra. Makes rebuilding a pain in the butt. Either just round up or down from infra damages. 2: Get rid of decimals from resources. Keep everything to even numbers just makes it easier to deal with. 3: Remove VM nations from alliance stats. Makes the alliance stats a more realistic representation of the alliance as it currently is. 4: Bulk Buy infra to a certain level

  36. Well now Buorhann, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. BK doesn't have ties, those are all merely mergers in progress. It's little distinctions like that which are important in FA, can't mess it up.

  38. Yes that's an incentive to win as it should, atm there is only an incentive to host games to make money. This also helps newer/smaller guys and encourages them to be more active and invest in baseball because they have a chance to win some decent money and still earn roughly the same as they do now even if they lose which is better than forcing them to host games to make money. Forcing players to host games to make money is why baseball isn't played by more I believed, as I speak right now there is currently 12 people hosting home games and no one playing away games, this is actively killing baseball for new baseball players. Baseball is tedious enough because it involves clicking buttons loads of times, it doesn't need to be even more tedious by making it take 2000+ clicks on a page you have to scroll down on to find the right button to press. This is a barrier for new players and casual players who would rather not spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to upgrade their team. We have 10 nations at a 100 team rating and by the time we get the number the #60 nation they have a rating of 12.77, that's an 83 point drop over 50 nations. That is a very clear sign baseball has serious issues, I believe both the lack of incentive to win and it being tedious to upgrade your team are the causes of this rapid drop in team ratings. When people can earn loads playing baseball I don't think it would hurt to add a minimum to make baseball more competitive and get people invest in their teams to win some money. This entire game is an optional part of life to kill some time when you're bored, that doesn't mean you should neglect it. You bothered to add baseball to this game, its part of the game. Its optional for me, it just adds something else to the game but again when people can earn loads playing baseball I don't think its that big of a deal to add a wee bit extra. It also encourages newer players to invest and make their teams more competitive. Yeah something to do for maybe 5 - 15 minutes every so often, not nearly every second of the day. Anything beyond that is just abuse. Make it 200 games a turn perhaps, just something to give people something to do without turning it into outright abuse.

  39. Weren't you just worried about new players not being able to make a buck? The established people will still earn 90% of revenue most of time so its very fair.
    1 point
  40. Not exactly, a new player doesn't earn very much to begin with, if they get 10% of revenue that could be $1500 which from my experience is around what they make from hosting games and quite a few earn less than that. The best part of this is they get $1500 or so regardless of if they win, lose or host it He may have stated that but I'm here now and I'm here to tell him it is ridiculous. It takes too much time to do something that doesn't actually benefit you that much. It could be just 30 clicks instead of ~225 clicks to get a player maxed. Its best to eliminate that problem I think by making it so the home game doesn't mean you profit more as I described in 1). I'm very new to baseball but yes RNG is very unpredictable but it doesn't take away from this, ideally you won't be getting it every time and its just a small bonus. If with my points 1) through 4) are implemented it makes it fairer and everyone earns more money, with more money being earned and baseball being more fulfilling it needs to have limits or else it will be abused by nations. A max of 100 games an hour/turn is very fair, its still as profitable as it is now. You could easily play 600 games a day under that system.
