  5. Average manufactured prices just dipped below $1750 this weekend which is rather nuts. This is especially noteworthy since raws seem to be flatlining instead of decreasing at the same pace. There is hypercompetition for manufactured market share, and it's not letting up.

  6. Tl;dr The Cloudy Rose Garden Party One day on a hilltop in the reborn lands of the Brotherhood of the Clouds, King Thomas was taking a walk through the newly built royal gardens. The King, walked with his head down, deep in thought. He thought of all the paths that he could lead the BoC down. How was he to know which was the best? The King sat down on a bench in the shadow of a great oak tree. Letting his eyes roam the garden greenery. As his eyes roamed he came across a rose, and he wondered. “Was this the sign he was looking for?” The King looked up at the sky looking for a sign from the 11 and an answer appeared: A cloud in the shape of a Rose rolled pass. Thomas turn to see that the Lacertus was walking over, with the Sovereign of Rose, Dynamic. Before the Lacertus could speak, King Thomas declared, “The 11 have sent me a sign that we must be allies! Frosty, summon the Prince and the Prime Minister, we have much work to do!” The Lacertus gave a small tip of his top hat and pressed a snow cone into Thomas and Dynamic hand. Then returned to the castle to find the Prince, and the Prime minister. King Thomas sat in the shade with Dynamic, enjoying the snow cones and thinking up what to do with their new friends. From this day forward Rose and BoC enter into an MnDoAP In recognition of our friendship and mutual goals, Rose and Brotherhood of the Clouds agree to sign this Mutual Non Chaining Defence Optional Aggression Pact in recognition that it binds them together to defend each others sovereignty when anyone attempts to kill or destroy Roses or Dragons. No party shall engage in any conduct which may harm the others garden landscape. Article I - Establishing Gardening Routines Both parties will work close with each other to make sure no outsider stands or attempts to destroy each others gardens by setting up who maintains each others where and when. If any trespassers do attempt to attack any civilian within these sacred lands the other party is obliged to come out with pitchforks and spades to defend the other. Article II - Tea Party Scheduling Both parties are required to host many garden parties throughout the year to host afternoons of fun full of information. To when they can impart any information that could breach the garden walls which they see fit to hold the sovereignty. Article III - Containing the Pollination of the Others Flowers Neither party shall engage in any aggressive action against the other, including declaring war on the other, raiding the other's members, espionage. If either party decides to declare on an enemy alliance in defense of the other, this MnDoAP becomes optional if the attacked alliance allies declare upon the attacking alliance. This ensures that none of the signatories gets involved in any tea parties that they should not be in. Article IV - Evil Garden Gnomes If one of the signatories wishes no longer have Garden Parties, the terminating signatory must notify the other signatory 72 hours prior to the termination of this treaty, during which time the treaty will remain active. Signatories: Rose Sovereign - Dynamic Regent - Belisarius Ephor of State - Mhearl Brotherhood of the Clouds King - Thomas Prince - Viselli Lacertus of the 11 - Lord Frostword Prime Minister - Morgan V

  10. I never was much for tradition. Never made a farewell thread back in November when I quit, but having logged in now to quite a few messages inquiring why; here's a quick one. The game got very boring for me a long time ago. When it got to the point of affecting RL and dreading having to even log in; I quit. I always played for myself, and that's exactly how I ended it. Probably what sums up this game for me is, despite having quit 5 months ago, I am still #1 on the tanks destroyed leaderboard with a 280k+ lead! Most of my friends are long gone but, anyway, thank you for the great time everyone. Have a good RL!

  11. I really didn't want to get into PnW seriously when i made this nation, but it seems casualty had other plans for me XD. Now that Pantheon is stable and in a good place, it is time for me to bow out of the game(Again). It really has been a memorable journey, with great friends made along the way and proper villains. I would like to thank our membership who stuck through the rough patch, the drastically higher taxes and uncertainty we went through while we got things back in order. Few alliances would of survived what they threw at us, your dedication and trust really did keep me motivated while I was putting those long hours into PnW. I would like to thank our excellent gov who has stepped up and done a truly awesome job running pantheon. I really wish you guys were around when I last lead Pantheon XD. I’m proud of you all :). I would like to thank Partisan, Hilmes, Leopold, and The Syndicate for being such stalwart friends in a game where such things are rare. In so many ways you guys are in league of your own and it’s been a privilege to work with you. And now with that out of the way, I am proud to announce the new gov lineup of Pantheon! 12. As many of you are aware, Seven Kingdoms is known for it's many leaks in the past. What very few of you realize is that those leaks are a right of passage. It's March 17th 2018, It was recently revealed by none other than SK that a war was to break out. More specifically it was Squeegee behind the leaks. Brooklyn has summoned him into his court. Brooklyn: Welcome Squeegee, please take a seat. Squeegee: Before we start my lord I would like to apologize, I understand the magnitude of my royal screw up. I never intended to be the cause of such strife and turmoil within these castle walls. Please forgive me for I will do anything to regain the trust of you and our people. Brooklyn: Now now Squeegee, this is but only the beginning of a very long road ahead for you. This was the beginning of many trials to come. Squeegee: You don't intend to banish me do you? Please anything but banishment! Public humiliation, imprisonment, I would even accept becoming your personal servant but please anything that isn't banishment. Brooklyn: Ah... no banishment is not what I had in mind, quite the opposite in fact. Squeegee: Oh? Brooklyn: You are to be King my friend, leader of our great kingdoms. Squeegee: K-King...? I don't quite understand... Brooklyn: For as long as our Kingdom has existed we've had many leaders like you caught in the midst of planning something treacherous. With out even realizing it you have fulfilled our right of passage, one that starts the road to Kingship. From this point forward your reactions to those that criticize you will define whether or not you can become the next leader. If your character holds true then you are next in line to be King. Squeegee: I see... then so be it my King. I shall take this chance to prove myself to our subjects and our allies. Brooklyn: I have no doubt that you will. As of today March 1st 2019 I Squeegee, have become the King of Seven Kingdoms. Brooklyn666 has decided to step down into a lower government position feeling as though he had done his part in ensuring the success of our alliance. Everyone here in SK thanks him for his service to our alliance and are pleased he remains to help us. Our Government line up is as follows: King: Squeegee Hand of the King (IA? Clover Master of Coin (Econ): Stillhard Master of Whispers (fA): Mikey Grand Commander (MA): Luna Any and all inquires can be sent directly to myself or Mikey, thank you for your time!

  13. I would like if you made better maps. for example i have posted and image. i would like to see something like this so we have a better understanding of our borders and who we are closest to/who we border. their can also be an option to choose what color your country shows up on the map as. also maybe not using google maps and instead using a dedicated map would make this easier. one more thing: I know that this might be hard to do. you would probably have to make a crap ton of regions for countries to take control over, and the API would probably need a revamp it would be hard work, but i am sure the community would love this EDIT: This is weird. go to anybody’s profile. no borders, yes? now, go to Alex’s Country. would you look at that...

  14. Problem with expecting a war to reintroduce scarcity is that for market prices to be higher, you also need a lot more cash rolling around. A big war scenario is more likely to result in high profit things for that cash to be spent on rather than resources at this stage of the market.

  18. Alright here's a few QoL improvements I thought I'd suggest, others feel free to add their own small changes. Nothing suggested should change major mechanics of the game. 1: Get rid of decimals from infra. Makes rebuilding a pain in the butt. Either just round up or down from infra damages. 2: Get rid of decimals from resources. Keep everything to even numbers just makes it easier to deal with. 3: Remove VM nations from alliance stats. Makes the alliance stats a more realistic representation of the alliance as it currently is. 4: Bulk Buy infra to a certain level

  20. Church of Spaceology is awesome. Boom. Done. Nah, just kidding. They are some of the most entertaining, intelligent, and creative people we have come across on our journey. The way they play the game should be emulated by alliances in the future. Their willingness to scrap is a welcome change from the pixel-hungry ideologies of many alliances on Orbis. Ripper is great, Thrax is Thrax, and the rest of the lineup is fantastic! We had a truly great time in CoS. My one grievance is that Abbas thinks that Ryan Reynolds is a good fit for Pikachu in the new movie. False. Never. Change my mind. o/ Bo o/ Hwan for picking up the mighty bindle and taking to the trail! We're excited to have you! We're off to The Enterprise to get a new prospective on mainstream alliances. Hopefully we all pass through the interview! Regardless, we're looking forward to this experience with the great folks in the SyndiCare network. Charlie Traveler

  22. It’s not grammar nazism. I go back on my statement I made on one of your other barely legible posts. You are playing an English speaking game, with the majority of its players speaking English. If you don’t learn how to speak basic English then I’m sorry we can’t do anything with your ideas (tbh they were all pretty bad anyway).

  25. ^ this. Or make the cap for resources unlimited. When people do massive trades to sell hundreds of thousands of resources, you either do a bank transfer or you're screwed cuz you have to make 10 - 99,999 trades. Just add a 9 to the end and it'll make a lot of people's lives easier.

  26. As far as I can tell, there's no need to include a specific cease-fire mechanic. Two nations can message each other, agree to a cease-fire, and then just not attack each other for whatever period of time while still at war if they so choose.
    1 point
  27. No. You'd be asking it to be exploited by keeping people slotted nearly infinitely. By design, ceasefires would need to be an exception to the slotfilling rules because otherwise, people would end up being punished for using a mechanic on it's intended way. Even if Alex were to put a hardcap on how long you can keep the ceasefire in effect, it'd very likely be exploited within those limits. That aside, it'd be an useless mechanic. If one side has the definitive advantage, there's no incentive for it to take the ceasefire when it can just steamroll the other side. As for those who're fairly even, then what exactly are you accomplishing? Being able to just build up on the parity? For all intents and purposes, people can do a similar if not nearly identical thing as you're proposing by peacing out and then redeclaring war. The main difference militarily would be MAP's, which if anything would make the restart of the war more interesting. So no, Alex shouldn't waste time coding this because, at best, it's an useless feature that'll only be used by clueless individuals, and at worst it'll be exploited as a way to legally slotfill, which would very likely end up with it's removal due to a massive influx of reports. So at the end it'd be wasted effort.
    1 point
  28. If people want to mutually agree to a ceasefire, there's nothing stopping them from just not taking military actions. Other than sanity, of course.

  33. Leading Pantheon wouldn't be the same as leading some disconnected micro. Keeping the treaty with Syndicate & possibly aligning closer to BK/NPO would put the alliance in an untouchable position for most & Pantheon is the 4th biggest alliance. (If NPO, Syndicate, BK & Pantheon formed a sphere; could make an invincible hegemony; maybe to over powered) So with motivated leadership they could actually be a powerhouse; much more so than your alliance or any of the others I've had minor skirmishes with. Its not like The Emperor is leaving Ethos with a sinking ship. They have Syndicate & other capable to fill support roles as well. I did already agree to stay in Black Knights for a minimum amount of time with what they've invested in my nation; so I wouldn't actually be free to take the reigns of another alliance currently. Although if a leader comes in who knows what he's doing or listens to good advice as he goes along takes over; the foundations for a successful alliance are there even without The Emperor.

  34. Katashimon13 is one of the few people capable of completely and utterly running and performing the entirety of the affairs of an IA department, Econ department, and Milcom department, all at the same time, and has been regularly putting in that kind of work in this world and another similar world for damn near a decade. Katashimon13 has also, to my recollection, never once touched FA, and thus has never sought the head honcho status in an alliance. As it is, all Ethos would seem to need to do is enter the job without the baggage of public opinion that The Emperor had, and he'll be off to a flying start.

  38. Instead of removing decimals from infra I suggest to change how to buy infra from "add X number of infra" to "reach X level of infra" so if you have to buy from 524.16 to 1000 you don't have to put 475.84 but you just have to put 1000

  39. Where military action could stop, but war could keep goin on. SO if thier is a global nuclear winter, then the war can keep going on, while no military action occurs it would have to be mutaly agreed, and could last for x turns/and or be renwed every n turns the 5 day time limit for a war would be paused while in ceasefire MAP would still go up, but caps at 12 you can only foritfy ideas?

  40. you can repost my stuff after runnign it thourh your gammar nazi stuff. That would have to be determeing by ALex, as i still do not know the exact numbers for the mechanics interaxction. Maybe it could increase/decrease your roll effectivness? It is just a base idea

  41. WOuld eb another factor in war. It would give defenders a buff, especally if they are gangbanged So defender starts with 10 WM, while attacker starts with 0 WM if attacker gets a phyrric victory, or a utter faliure, then the defender gets a boost in WM, while attacker looses it if defnder gets any victory then WM goes up the exact effect of WM x can eb determned later. but is the idea good overall?
