You have no idea the kind of hell I'm going through right now. Just the other day, everything was fine at Manticore Bank. Simple arguments between me (Chairman of the Board) and the CEO, DustyDart, became more frequent until things blew up. Me and three of my most trusted associates, @Pheonix, @Johnny Costello, and slw122 determined an offer to send to Dusty. We wanted Manticore to buy us out (Together, we owned 40% of the bank). It was an offer we thought would be beneficial to all, and we could part ways peacefully. But Dusty decided he'd rather frick us up the ass and take our shares. Now, a bank I built from nothing to being worth $2.2 Billion is gone, my personal 15% stake in Manticore is gone, a loss of $1.5B at least. I'm finding all this pretty hard to write out, I just don't know how best to say this. DustyDart is criminal, he's an !@#$, and he should NEVER be trusted again. I really can't believe this happened. I'm quite upset, so this may be incoherent. I can answer any questions if y'all don't understand. Kind Regards, Impreza9 points

The Knights Templar. Wheeew! Where to start... My first impression was a little rough. KT is a rowdy, abrasive, obnoxious group of degenerates. And I came to like them? Now, I won't claim to fully understand them. That would be a bold faced lie. No man can truly understand KT. What I will say is that I came to better understand them through hours of one-on-one conversation with members and banter in the channels to which we were granted access. The Knight's Templar has a sort of internal countercultural predisposition. They love memes, they reject political correctness within the walls of their community, and, in their own speshul way, work together really well. The initial culture shock was tempered by the realization that they are just letting it all hang out with their boys. To quote a former member, "society presses a sh*t ton of pressure on us to be moral and acceptable at all times." KT's community seeks to alleviate that pressure. While it would peel the hair back on most normies, they seem to have found a collection of kindred spirits. Their government is garba- competent af, they have a stellar war performance record, and they are in a good spot in regard to FA positioning. Their sphere has long been touted as a wildcard sphere and I believe that's a very valuable position. While the vibe didn't quite click for me or the rest of the Hobos, I had a Great! time here and I appreciate them showing us that winning Templar Hospitality! One knight sought to take the plunge into a life on the rails. TheRebelMan has donned his bindle and fallen in with our band of misfits - a spring in his step and a sword in his hand. Next stop: All aboard! Charlie Traveler7 points

Wow, good thing for Dark Brotherhood. It's always good to drop Micros when they become useless.6 points

Sounds like Dust has some things to sort out. I hope BoC doesn't support this kind of douchebaggery!4 points

Jokes are nice and all, but please, don't spam the Alliance Affairs forums. It's the most important area for people to look at. I see no "alliance" so I move this thread to Orbis Central.3 points

All good things come to an end. The Dark Brotherhood hereby activates Article VI of our MnDP treaty with Pantheon, and provides a notice of cancellation. Reasons have been given in private. We wish Pantheon all the best and good luck in their future endeavours.2 points

This why they’re a scam. Another popular tactic I’ve seen is take investor’s money for shares and the founder giving themselves a bunch of shares without any money being put down. Of course when it’s liquidated a month later they still pay themselves out for their shares.2 points

Are you telling me you have no Fraggle coupons? That's the next big wave after Bitcoin.2 points

No their are several people that I've noticed buying and sell pretty quick, TBH the most annoying part is having to do multiple updates in our records for so many trades. I can say from experience getting involved in banking is key to any player wanting to be become a whale. I wish I got involved much sooner than the 1.5 years I've been doing it. Also some advice for people wanting to buy shares is always look around for others selling, their are some people who will try and squeeze the most out of you without any compromise and others who are willing to haggle in share trades. Orion for example doesn't control what price our shareholders want to sell at, but people are more than welcome to PM myself or another staff and find out a good market price before buying so they know if they're getting an even deal with the seller or if their being screwed. Every bank starts small not everyone is like Orion, Horizon, or Gringotts with tens of billions in assets or very well known leaders, or rock solid record-keeping. I agree a fair few micros are dodgy asf or unreliable, but their are some which are up and coming and will certainly make their presence seen in the future.2 points

Guess what Rosey? That doesn't matter; It's sounds cool, and I'm sticking with it. The word I originally meant to use was Draconic, but I couldn't remember how to spell it at the time. Dragonic has stuck around, and I like it.2 points

That moment when you see NPO members competing with each other on the coal market, driving the purchase price up almost 300 points in less than a day... (No, I don't make steel.)1 point

Next time when I say I need to take tea with you. Maybe you should listen, regardless to if you don't like me.1 point

Our plan would have benefited both the bank and ourselves, the bank could have made an easy 800m+ profit off of our share. We were willing to compromise and make a deal, instead dusty went straight to the shareholders, criminalized us and striped us of everything.1 point

It sounds pretty funny as you say "We" being only one in this alliance. I guess you just want to rp your name properly : p If you like using plural form I have for you a catchy name to use ; ) Many-as-One1 point

Haha they did. They could have been harder and I think we would have beat them as well. We only slowed growth when we hit what we believe our bank could handle. No sense in having members you can't actually help.1 point

Same at Manticore, I answer all questions, I don't set trade values, but trade bouncing is getting annoying used to be like 2-3 trades a day, had 12 today1 point

I mean at least they gave you goals at all, lol. Better than what most protectors seem to do ?1 point

There are three actual banks that aren’t get rich quick schemes. Almost every micro bank has shady practices like this.1 point

I mean there's people in Orion who bought their shares originally for 1k who sell for 5-7k now so it's not exactly a big deal.1 point

Pantheon, the micro who no one cares about, helped Dark Brotherhood ruin their reputation. Now that Dark Brotherhood's reputation is ruined, they no longer need Pantheon to do so, thus eliminating the use of them.1 point

Thanks Red, but if all 1-man alliances were to post in the Alliance Affairs, that would be a problem.1 point

So if most people think something, it makes it a valid claim then? How does it feel to to lead the the Worst Military of The Year and also the Most Inactive Large Alliance of the year? I assume you don't agree with the popular vote then, you guys sure had them removed from your alliance page awfully quick. Hypocrisy. This is what a lack of principal looks like, a double standard that favors oneself.(And given the awards you 'won', I would guess your thoughts are not inline with the majority of the games) I of course don't agree with those awards(Though the pumpkin was funny), please do better Nizam, what I said was harsh but true. You where caught red handed beyond all doubt in a lie, and then you say something middleschoolish like this, fail to understand the obvious, and then dodge. Let's now get failure to understand the obvious: They show... us keeping sirius in the loop with piece talks, and the reason why they contacted you. It proves your statement about them coming to you because we didn't tell them anything as a lie. We had a big dialogue with them for the entirety of the war actually Do you actually read my posts? Now to the dodge: 1) The Dodge: This is not what I was calling you out on, this is just some semi relative stuff you think will make you look good? Where is this coming from? 2) Bonus Lie: This is also another lie. "When I tried to talk to your side about it, you jerked me around and wouldn't give a straight answer for nearly two weeks" You never once talked to me about it, I just checked our history. Jesus christ 3) Failure to comprehend words: I did explain that I did not want to spend capital to peace out with NR after their behavior. People in our coalition did want to keep slots though, but the way you are talking about it with: "you weren't so vested in a handful of extra slots. Did you explain that to them?" Makes it seem like Pantheon was the one calling for the shots for our coalition, the largest coalition the game has ever seen I think... To get things moved in that thing, one has to do a vote, talk to people, ect ect. Pantheon was not the leading power int hat coalition, and with how NR acted, spending capital on them did not seem right This is becoming a lot like our DMs where... =/ EDIT: I really did say what I said with the sole intent of helping you become more self aware, not get into something like... this... I suppose this convo has run it's course then, at least for me. I really do want to see this community be more sane, we're at the point where people are fine with a micro getting tricked and couped, this is really really bad I based that comment off of my time inside TKR, when I was last there BK and IQ was getting shit talked pretty much daily ha1 point

Haha, that's a solid way of securing someone that could answer your !@#$. Truth be told though, the only one person that could answer for Mensa would be Pfeiffer and knowing him, I doubt he'll entertain your questions with the answers you want to hear. I'll bring popcorn just in case.-1 points
