  5. Since people have been asking: A few days back I found myself asking TheShadow if Camelot still planned on being paperless. While talking, we slowly drifted into merger talk with his gov, which turned out to fail. No issues with that whatsoever, though the way Arthur ended it was quite amusing. Later that night, shadow applied for Empyrea as he wasn't happy with the direction the alliance was taking anymore. Worth mentioning Shadow was their milcom high gov before leaving. The next day, we found out that a member of their gov/low gov/whatever attempted to poach our war high gov, not exactly sure if it was personal or not. We decided to the poacher's slots. At the same time however, we opened a raid on one of their protectorates, fully slotting them. I made it clear to Camelot's gov after we both agreed the wars on the poacher are valid, that we would not peace out with their protectorate and they may counter us if they wanted. From our experience, an event like this normally remains between the alliance raiding the protectorate, and the protector of that alliance. The protector of the protecting alliance (in this case BK protecting Camelot and Camelot protecting Chaos Insurgency) normally shouldn't be concerned about this. Camelot countered us as we expected, only then BK intervened too by letting us know they'd counter too if we decided to deal with Camelot's counters. This left a few of our members siege as we could not offer them militaristic aid without escalating with BK. Why even bother protecting alliances if you need help from your own protector? A few hours later, we received a counter from Goon Squad as well. When asking GS why, their answer was 'we just wanted to war someone'. Although they made sure to make it look somewhat valid by going out their way to create a protectorate tie just before declaring on us. We countered this as it seemed clear to us that Goon Squad had no mandate for declaring. I asked BK as well, and this was their response: L] All wars have been peaced out.

  6. I appreciate all the people who tried to make it better this year. You put a lot of effort in and that shows so thank you. This is the third time I've been a runner up in the same category with people just voting normally for me so I'm happy about that.

  8. Congratulations to SyndaIQ and to TKR and friends, for finally hitting the 1 Trillion collage damage mark! Its been a long wait, and I’d like to congratulate both parties. Here are some special remarks to some special alliances: The Common Wealth - Easily the most competent military in Orbis. TCW deserves a big shoutout for providing a solid 1/10th of all the damage dealt . Pantheon - Although not being in the initial blitz, you managed to have a grade A, military! Grumpy Old Bastards - I wouldn’t of have added you on this list, had it not been for the fact your bank was stolen, and the man in charge of said bank was trash talking for a good while. He’s gone all but silent on us after that, sadly. To anybody offended by this pointless post, good. To any of these three alliances above getting pissed off. ? GitGud, I dindunuffinwrong tl;dr Good job on 1 Trillion damage in Knightfall. Credit to Frawley and his stats tracker for the provided information .

  11. I have remained mostly silent during this whole debate but think it's way past time to chime in and lay out some things to common sense: [1] - get over the trade bot issue as this is a total non issue. You always have had - for years, the ability to make your own trade bot that works the same way. you chose instead to whine and complain... and have numerous times tried to have alex remove it for you because you are too lazy to code your own. [2] - there are way too many alliances involved in this whole peace process... seriously... with so many alliances allowed to have a voice you will NEVER come to consensus. What needs to be done - common sense, is to have the top 2 alliances on both sides do all the negotiations based on what is best for the whole of their side (sphere) not what the demands of each individual alliance on each side wants. [3] Last but not least, there should be a serious call on BOTH sides to have a temporary cease fire while the negotiations are in the critical final stages as they are now. Having those "last minute blitzes" to get the war stats padded is NOT helping the peace process Just my 2 cents worth is all - I will now go back to being quiet as i have been during this war

  12. Worst player of the year! Glad to see the circle jerk is up and running. I did what? Almost 9 billion in damage this war... so if that makes me the worst, what does that make about 99.5 percent of the rest of you?

  14. I wouldn't be surprised if peace talks were called off again because Adrienne didn't have her coffee or Yui was complaining that the treaty text wasn't in purple at this rate. The update after this update, we'll officially hit 3 months of war. Much admiration and respect for TKR-sphere to holding out this long.

  15. You can't hate the organisers for the results of a damn poll. We've been churning these out for years, god damn its not the organisers rigging it. If you give people an option on who to vote for, and you provide in game nations with links, so they don't even need to come online on the forums, the people with the most players will statistically win every time- because there's more of them. No not all the results are accurate at all, for example BK succeeding this year? What? They already got what they want. How does one move up from the top? Polaris best growth? Not a chance in hell. But that isn't the fault of the organisers, it's a fault of the system we seem to come back to every single time. You can't be mad at IQ for winning stuff, it was only natural that the people with the most influence won.

  17. Welp, I realized that I never finished the story of Politics and Infinity War, so better get on that quick. This day has already become grim and full of sacrifices, but still LeotheGreat continues on his quest to capture the six Infinity Alliances, and bring balance to the game. After sacrificing his daughter Silenzio to obtain the GotG Stone, the Mad Archduke now arrives at his ancient home: Obsidian Order. Once a prosperous and beautiful world, Obsidian Order was destroyed after its population and egos grew too great to manage. Unable to make the hard choices, the people of Obsidian Order tore it apart, destroying themselves and leaving Leo the only survivor. He did not desire to return home, but went there to meet his greatest servant - Roquentin. Instead, he was greeted by a group of "heroes" from the Knights Radiant attempting to stop his righteous crusade of balance. Nevertheless, they brought the fifth Infinity Alliance - the New Pacific Order - with them, so Leo did not lose hope. A great battle ensued, in which each was struck down one by one until only their greatest warrior, Lordship, remained! And so with that, LeotheGreat left the rabble behind, and left to find the final Infinity Alliance and finish his quest....

  20. I'm confused. Can you draw a diagram? Hitting the counters from the defenders to defend from the attack, is an offensive move from the aggressors? And it's not a defensive move from the offending attackers hitting the defenders defending nations? This stuff is just toooo confusing ?

  23. A clarifying post now that I'm back and reading up roughly on the discussions here: Early in my trip, Chris contacted me and asked if I had any issue with the yearly awards being held off-site, and I said no, that's not an issue. These awards are not hosted or overseen by me, as far as I'm concerned, it's completely community run and you should take the entire process (categories to vote in, nominations, voting, etc.) with a grain of salt. This is all just for fun anyway, it's not like winning a vote gives your nation an in-game cash boost or something. I understand the privacy concerns about using a different website, and I think it is smart to be thoughtful and forward thinking about such things. However, this is such a voluntary and unimportant aspect of the game that you can simply not participate if you're that concerned about it. I also understand the concerns about the vote being rigged, and to be honest, I have no idea whether it was rigged or not, I didn't oversee things at all. Again, take all the results with a grain of salt. While I don't really see an incentive to rig the vote (why have a vote in the first place, you could just proclaim so-and-so as [insert category] of the year in a post with much less effort) it is possible. From what I've read, the pollsters are releasing all the voting data publicly for post-validation anyway, so I imagine we'll find out whether it was rigged or not. Someone also mentioned why in-game awards weren't added for 2017 - the reason is that no one made the award icons. Because I'm not overseeing this process, I have never put in the effort to find/create icons for all of the categories, and have told the yearly award administrators that if someone creates a set of awards (for everyone, not just for the award that you won) I'll add them in-game. That happened in 2016 and 2018, but not last year, for whatever reason. Someone could go make a set of award icons now and I could go back and add the 2017 awards in-game as well. Anyway, I hope that about summarizes things. As I said in the results thread, if you received an award in-game that you don't want, just shoot me a message (Discord DM, PM here, PM in-game) and I will remove it for you (or your alliance.) I'd like to get a better voting/polling system setup in-game for a variety of purposes, and it would probably be ideal to build in voting into the game next year and do it more officially. As of now my plan is to really just work P&W full-time in the second half of this year, so I should have plenty of time to configure such a system and even administrate the awards more officially.

  25. Seeing as someone was kind enough to provide award icons for each of the categories, I've added the awards in-game for nations and alliances. Some of the categories are negative, so if anyone would like an award removed from their nation/alliance page, just let me know. Easiest way is to shoot me a message on Discord, but a PM here or in-game will work as well. Also, it was a lot of manually entry setting up the awards, so if I have made any mistakes (incorrect icon, award assigned to wrong person, missing award) please let me know about that as well. And I should probably just add in that I did not facilitate or participate in these yearly awards at all; they were community run and a "for fun" thing. Someone has put them on every year, and I have added awards in-game in the past when someone has taken time to create the awards (for everyone.) I believe last year no one made award icons, so none were added in-game.

  27. 1) The losing side is being asked to give it up or keep fighting. They can give it up and then plot and scheme to war parties to get it back. Or just bring it back when they're in a position to defend themselves if attacked over it. 2) Who are the top alliances involved? I created this coalition but TEst is not large does that mean we don't get a seat at the table in the war we were one of the two main catalysts for? The large part of the terms given by several other contributing alliances are largest cosmetic/post related terms, nothing detrimental to an alliances well-being. Who are you to say someone who fought hard along side a side does not get a voice at the table? Who are you to suggest that 2 alliances get to speak for several whom they may have no ties to? You've never been in a situation where a coalition, not a bloc is fighting I take it, at least in a leadership position. If you had you'd realize how idiotic your sentiment is. 3) Peace talks have been going for a long time, a cease fire only helps the losing side keep the pressure off of them and gives morale to hold out longer. Why not keep holding out when you're not getting hit? You can have a refund on your 2 cents.

  41. It made sense for SynDIQ to run two wars on TKR-sphere at the outset of the war. TKR-sphere purportedly had massive access to capital, and would have been able to rebuild almost painlessly post-war. Where TKR-sphere ruined things was by refusing to acknowledge a losing war and end this fight quickly. As damage piled on, it meant that going after TKR was no longer reasonable for SynDIQ because TKR-sphere was neutering its status as a threat. However, the problem is, it's not a simple "threat/non-threat" binary for SynDIQ. Even if TKR-sphere dropped below the point where it'd justify a rehit, given actual and potential rifts in the SynDIQ coalition, TKR could remain an actual threat through adroit employment of diplomacy; i.e, TKR-sphere could rip assets out of SynDIQ and arrange a situation, under cover of a planned SynDIQ civil war, to reestablish its hegemony by hitting SynDIQ instead. At some point, the political will for SynDIQ to launch another attack at TKR-sphere will go. Then TKR-sphere will attempt to surrender. But TKR-sphere is not properly neutralized by SynDIQ's standards and would continue to pose a threat, albeit not one that could be engaged in a future war. So then it actually makes sense for SynDIQ to continue the war until TKR-sphere is properly neutralized, even if TKR-sphere were to attempt to surrender to all the terms SynDIQ proposed. Besides, for all the BS TKR-sphere has put SynDIQ leadership and negotiation team through, the war can't be over when TKR-sphere says it's over. SynDIQ still has to extract its pound of flesh for the "negotiations".

I was showing how retarded you were being, with petty things such as downvotes. 99% of posters don't give a shit about you downvoting them, it only will hurt your reputation. All of your whining and you derailing threads will hurt your reputation. You pretend you don't care what your reputation is. You say stupid things, they get downvoted, you complain, and say and do more stupid things, all while acting like the smartest person here and pretending you don't care about downvotes, even when you use them to try and hurt others reputation and whine when people downvote you.
